She NAILED it as Jean Stapleton as Edith Bunker.

can't stand jamie foxx i mean he is the biggest over actor in the biz.
I wonder how other actual actors felt about Foxx kinda over acting...
Its ok to break but he called a lot of attention on himself.
As a viewer? It was cool
But i wonder as a fellow actor was it ok?
I disagree with Foxx's flub as a highlight.
You don't get credit for being the only person to fuck up.
And it would have been better just to keep it moving. (If a fuck up is a highlight, the whole thing had to be trash.)
Overall, I felt it was good, but "The Jeffersons" was the better of the two in terms of casting and acting.
"All In The Family" - Woody Harrelson was not that good. His voice occasionally slipped into sounding like Carrol O'Connor, but it was mostly flat. An older, stockier man who looked similar to Archie (Brian Dennehy?) would have been better. Marisa Tomei was just ok, but they should have cast someone older as Edith. The actors who played Gloria, Mike and Mr. Lorenzo sucked. Anthony Anderson did pretty good as Henry. The guy who played Lionel was pretty good in both shows. Wanda Sykes was decent as Louise in both shows, but she seemed like she was stifled (sorry), as if it was a struggle to not break out of character and be Wanda. Jamie Foxx was good as George in both shows, but he overdid the mannerisms. If he had focused on staying within the character, he might not have fucked up his lines.
"The Jeffersons" was better. Bringing back Marla Gibbs as Florence was excellent. It was very good to cast Kerry Washington and Will Ferrell as Helen and Tom. The guy who played Bentley was mediocre. Jackee was just ok, but the "227" angle was worth it. Mother Jefferson was totally miscast - they should have gotten a smaller, more "frail-looking" actress. The woman who played Jenny was nice to look at (like the original), but in this episode, she had a minor role. I thought the acting was better overall in "The Jeffersons" remake.
One other thought - almost all the actors from "The Jeffersons" have passed away except Marla Gibbs (Florence), Belinda Tolbert (Jenny), and Damon Evans (who played Lionel after Mike Evans left). Time surely flew by.

EXCELLENT break down
I thought the flub was the best part, because I paid more attention tot the actors in the background losing it. Which made me laugh...I had to watch it again. Anthony Anderson was trying to stay in character because he was right in front, but everyone else. 
Overall Jamie's overacting was annoying

Shortly after you press play, you will hear Stephen A. Smith laugh.
It begins there. But if you continue observing his mannerisms... I've never seen his acting on General Hospital, but Stephen A. Smith would've been a better George Jefferson than Jamie Foxx.
Good Times Ahead: ABC and Kimmel Will Re-create More Classic Sitcoms

Jimmy Kimmel and Norman Lear are reuniting for more Live in Front of a Studio Audience, the retro re-creation special which drew more than 20 million viewers for ABC, earned three Emmy nominations, and was one of last season’s biggest (and most unexpected) network TV success stories. As Alphabet alternative programming chief Robert Mills had hinted was likely in an interview with Vulture in June, ABC has now officially ordered two more rounds of LIFOASA for the 2019–20 season, starting with holiday-themed installment set to air this winter. Another special has been scheduled for spring. Not yet announced: which classic sitcoms Lear and Kimmel are planning to revive next.
May’s debut special showcased re-creations of Lear’s landmark All in the Family and one of its spinoffs, the long-running The Jeffersons. Since the winter version of LIFOASA will be holiday-themed, it wouldn’t be too much of a creative stretch to do one of the many Christmas episodes of those two shows (though getting the all-star cast back together again so soon might be a challenge). In our June interview, Mills didn’t offer any hints about specific titles, saying only that Kimmel “absolutely loves Christmas and Christmas specials” and that doing a Yuletide-themed version of LIFOASA “would be a bucket-list thing for him.” Should Kimmel and Lear decide to focus on different Lear shows this winter, both Maude and Good Times have very memorable holiday episodes in their catalogue (though several of the best Good Times holiday episodes came during years in which one of the show’s stars, John Amos, was not seen on-camera. It’s a long story.)
While the next LIFOASA audience will draw from the Lear lineup, it’s worth noting ABC’s press release leaves open the possibility that the 2020 installment could expand to include shows from other producers, including the many classic sitcoms part of the expanded Disney–20th Century Fox TV libraries. The Alphabet’s announcement notes that Lear and Kimmel “will once again team up … to provide the next installment” of the franchise but doesn’t link the two for the third special. That doesn’t mean Lear won’t return as an exec producer, but practically speaking, Kimmel and ABC likely will want to explore shows not within the Lear universe. Not only would doing so offer more creative possibilities, but it would make sense financially: Lear’s shows are not owned by Disney, making them more expensive to license.

Dude who played james wasnt to to bad but everyone else im like did they even try to get a good cast.. i mean if your play jj you gotta have somebody that can carry that role.. y thelma gotta be light skinned.. o well... i like the all in the family better...
After seeing the Good Times I think they better just leave Sanford and Son alone. JJ and Thelma was Good Time's version(not really but the back and forth bickering of family members) of Aunt Esther and Fred and that sucked last night.
I watched the Good Times today on a rerun (it airs on CHCH on the android box) with Janet Jackson debut and I'm sorry even THAT cast blew away last night. The watered down Good Times acting was better and that is the time period when people started tuning out.
