Well this episode provided a little bit of everything and is one of the best 90 minutes of horror and sci fi I've ever watched. My question is does Weyland-Yutani provide psych evaluations for the crews they send out on missions? Or like with everything else only what they want to weaponize matters i guess. But I do love watching this in HDR. It truly makes everything look more intense.

These people pretty much sacrifice most of their life to travel through space for a share of stock, I don't think they are getting the best candidates, probably people desperate for money. Plus Yutani want people who are expendable and can't sue.
Eeeexactly. Notice how the engineer apprentice doesn't even know the definition of apprentice? Or Geology? Or shit for that matter? How the fuckin xenobiologist lady is sitting there in a room full of unsecured xenos drinking the shit out some water and eating a ham sandwich and can't be bothered to secure the specimens? How the replacement captain can't think about shit other than her fuck buddy is dead? How the doctor cracks open a man's chest with confirmed xeno bugs in him without a mask, using robot arms or even a hazmat suit and kills everybody in the room? This is the most incompetent xeno bait crew I have ever seen in my life. Nobody with even half a career/life would volunteer to burn 50-60yrs of their life if they had options.

Those little eye fuckers have put xenomorphs on notice, not only are they intelligent they are fearless. They should make the canon and go up against predators.
