Al Jarreau in hospital. Forced to retire, and 2017 tour dates are cancelled.

Hopefully, he can return to touring with minimal dates and doesn't have to retire completely. Because if he did, it is likely he would not last long after that. When people get old and have nothing to live for, sadly they often don't.

They said when Maurice White had to leave E,W, & F, it took a toll. He lasted for a minute, but his health took a big hit. Sometimes you just can't do it, love or not.
 
Saw him in Cincy about 9 years ago; one of the best shows I've ever been to; dude is a beast live. Best to him.
 
One of my favorite singers ever!

One of my favorite concerts during the 80s was seeing Jarreau at Pier 84 in NYC. He and his band kicked ASS!
