TRICKS OF THE TRADE WARS
Nearly 100 percent of Trump funds designed to help farmers went to white farmers
By Paola Rosa-Aquino on Aug 1, 2019

President Trump has made a big deal out of his admiration for farmers, calling them “some of the most incredible people in our country,” and “patriots.” But, based on newly acquired data on federal subsidies from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, his administration may not have been thinking of all farmers — mostly just the rich, white ones.

According to Freedom of Information Act requests filed by New Food Economy, the Trump administration funneled 99.5 percent of funds from its approximately year-old Market Facilitation Program, the largest current source of federal farm subsidies, to white farm operators.

I thought you said Obama already took care of the black farmers?

First of all, learn how to construct a paragraph. I gave you an Oxford definition of "caste system." I can show you EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE of how the property values of a neighborhood drop when the black population rises above 10% without any other extenuating factors present.

I could encourage you to read this article about how even black boys born and raised in the middle-class tend to fall into poverty.

You won't read it anyway and you won't educate yourself about anything.

Show me the progress that we have made!!! I want real data and stats. You think Obama getting elected was progress for US?

No, "free shit" is what YOU think reparations is, which is why you said it. It's clear you're one of those "I-got-mine-so-the-rest-of-these-niggas-need-get-theirs-on-their-own" types.

Motherfucker, did I not tell you that William "Sandy" Darity, a Duke University professor, is the leading economist and researcher in this area, and if you were to read his works, or even listen/read his interviews, your questions will be answered.

But you don't want answers. You want to foment confusion and ignorance.

I doubt you've ever read a book in your life beyond "The Cat in the Hat", and that was probably a tough read. You wouldn't be saying such stupidity if you had any understanding of these issues

@Autobot8655 Please shoot me!!:gun05: Why am I debating this ignorant fool? Why am I answering questions that I have answered previously?

56 minute mark. I'm done arguing this. Do with your vote what you want. Isolate everyone if you choose. Good luck.

Dude, are you slow? First of all, did you listen to anything preceding the 56:00 min mark? Even the minute before, where Professor Darity talks about how a college-educated black couple still only has two-thirds of the wealth of a white couple where neither person has a high school degree?

Or did you read my previous reply to you, where I posted several links to Darity’s info, including an interview where he says the same thing you’re now telling me to listen to? For your convenience, I will post it again below.

Which white supremacists created the ADOS movement?

You're getting dissed because you're not truly seeking any "answers." You only want to disrupt the conversation. That's why people are going in on you.

The two most prominent figures in the ADOS movement, Yvette Carnell and Antonio Moore, both have YouTube channels where they broadcast from several times a week. Their videos are readily accessible. You can even call into their live broadcasts and ask questions.

The most prominent academic researcher on the issue of reparations, William "Sandy" Darity, also has interviews and published papers that are readily accessible. He's a trained economist who has been researching issues of racial wealth inequality and reparations since the 1970s: http://fds.duke.edu/db/Sanford/faculty/william.darity/publications

"Imaginary caste system". "Free shit". "That gap is closing". :smh:

This is why your dumb ass gets dissed. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!

Now I could reference the following books, all of which are serious academic works:
  1. Faces At The Bottom Of The Well: The Permanence Of Racism
  2. American Apartheid: Segregation and the Making of the Underclass
  3. The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery and the Making of American Capitalism
  4. The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America
  5. The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap
All demonstrate how a lack of wealth and the inaccessibility to capital were practically built into native Black American life with an almost surgical precision. Now what is a caste system? A caste system is a closed social stratification system in which people inherit their position and experience little mobility. And if you were to study of the data and read the above books, you would understand that we have been economically locked into a bottom caste. But guess what? You and I both know that you won't read a single word of any of them, nor will you read the Cliff's Notes, nor would a you watch a video summary. Because you don't give a fuck and you're asking dumb-ass questions just to be asking and distracting. The fact that you said "free shit" tells us everything we need to know about your mentality.

And then you say "that gap is closing" when all data shows that the exact opposite is occurring?

Soul on Ice was being a gentleman when he told you to fall back and respect the movement. I say you just need to shut the fuck up and get out of the thread.

Now please just go away. You have absolutely nothing of value to contribute to this discussion.
:smh::smh::smh:

Now how do we close the wealth gap in this country without white people?

I agree. We should. By the way, did you read the entire article? Did you catch the paragraph below? Or do you think everything will be fine and dandy once Trump is out of office?

The USDA has a long history of discrimination against farmers of color. A 1994 report commissioned by the department itself said “minorities received less than their fair share of USDA money for crop payments, disaster payments, and loans.”
But if we start talking about this, especially the history of it, how it affects black people today, and where to move from here, then we’re divisive “Russian bots” trying to suppress the black vote. :smh:

I listened to every word he said. It was a really good discussion. Nothing he said hasn't been said before.

Okay, so you listened to every word he said, which was nothing you hadn’t heard before, yet you apparently forgot all of it and came in this thread asking questions about the shit all over again? o_O:rolleyes2:

Now how do we close the wealth gap in this country without white people?

How did gays get gay marriage? How do Dems expect to expand DACA? How many white people are on board with these types of initiatives?

Gays received gay marriage because gays are a part of the 70%. Last I checked black americans were a part 13%. Surprisingly, gays are a part of the 13% as well.

DACA doesn't have a monetary figure that would be seen as an attack on white supremacy &/or white guilt.

Any figure thrown out there for reparations will meet resistance because white people today feel they had nothing to do with slavery.

So why should they pay. Which ultimately means they would have to pay more taxes for something they had "nothing" to do with.

Even if this country could pay reparations without increasing taxes on anyone, that would never be the spin. So resistance is always there.

Hell, if I was a betting man, poor white people wouldn't get behind the idea of a Trust Fund for infants because it would benefit black americans disproportionately.

No. The 70% white population has nothing to do with it. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Gays received gay marriage because they were part of a Democratic coalition that came to supported it which ultimately led to a Supreme Court decision that granted it as a Constitutional right. Black people are a big part of that coalition and that electorate, but that coalition holds a minority of the white electorate. About 40% or so. Without black support of the Democratic Party, gays would have had a harder row to hoe, because it would have never been supported by the GOP.

DACA doesn't have a monetary figure that would be seen as an attack on white supremacy &/or white guilt.

Ummm, where the fuck have you been? You know DACA involves granting a reprieve from deportation and allowing work permits for the children of illegal immigrants, right? You don't think white supremacists have a problem with this? Did you hear what happened in El Paso on Saturday? Do you know who the current president is? Are you on planet Earth?

Who says they're paying? And don't black people pay taxes as well? And was a white majority necessary for civil rights legislation to pass? For Brown vs Board to be overturned?

And ultimately, as I said in my reply to Camille, whether reparations ever passes or not, an ADOS agenda is still needed and we will still support it.

The argument about gays & restitution is faulty.

You're comparing an issue (gays) that encompasses all races vs. one that only affects black americans.

White supremacist have a problem with anything that threatens white superiority. Of course DACA would be challenged by them.

Look at all of the liberal push back when DACA is challenged by conservatives. You see overwhelming support.

DACA has zero financial figures that are quantifiable like what reparations would bring. Reparations brings 2 questions. How much & who pays?

Liberal white people don't care if undocumented immigrants are allowed to work & live here. It shows how "progressive" they are to allow them to stay in their country.

Now convince those same white people to pay 6 trillion dollars to black americans in this racist country.

What type of reparations bill would for those that receive reparations to also pay taxes of what they receive?

I don't know the details of what reparations would look like if it is ever paid. But I'm sure those that receive would not be taxed to pay themselves.

White people were integral in getting the Civil Rights Act passed. How do you get legislation passed with no power?

Gutsdabeast whole purpose in this thread is "convincing" ADOS they need whites, Democratic whites to survive.

Black man, is this the party you want to belong to? A party that is anti black self reliance and promotes white superiority. A party that only sees you as a fixed vote to be pimped and guilt shamed? :smh:

You're right. Black americans don't need whites to survive. Just pointing out that white people are a necessary evil to get what is owed.

I'm also not the one that said we black americans were at the bottom.

Unfortunately this country is a democracy. So real change happens through votes & legislation.

Those can be influenced by other factors (protests, threats, blackmail, racism), but nothing happens without them.

Change how this country & the government works & you'll receive all you deserve.

Of course there is a long history. White people have always ran the government. Work towards having white people out of the majority.

Only a damn fool would think at 13% of the population allies aren’t needed.

The reason ADOS will never have any power is because it’s brings nothing new to the table. Oohhh you all don’t vote. That happened in 2016. You all are going to withdraw from the political process, oh no! That happened in 2016.

White Democrats are ok with republicans running the government because they are still white! Of course they would rather be in power but they aren’t losing any sleep over it.

I suggest ADOS stops focusing on meaningless threats and figure out how to wrestling power away from white people. Maybe get off of Twitter and start running for office? 44 pages and yet to see any ADOS candidates being promoted.

CWar? Still need allies

Reminds me of the missing person situation of the “free hugs kid” Devante Hart whose siblings were murdered by the two white LGBT members after child services found out how abusive to the kids they were.

Any white person showing interest in or favor to our community should be treated as a suspect but too many of us go above and beyond to embrace them. Just look at BGOL’s treatment of them.

Boom??? This is dumb as fuck on every level. Tell that old-ass Kevin Gates-looking nigga to show his barber! Or tell him to grow some facial hair.

A few points for the dummies:
  1. What does someone’s significant other and/or sexual orientation have to do with the racial wealth gap and reparations, both of which can and have been measured empirically and are core parts of the ADOS movement? Tone and Yvette have both discussed how sexual orientation is irrelevant to the ADOS discussion.
  2. Lineage is another big part of ADOS and both Yvette and Tone have discussed how ADOS are descendants of the institution of slavery, which means we are descendants of black slaves and white slaveowners. Black Americans average 18% white ancestry. Yvette put her percentage out there; it was like 35% or something.
  3. If you’d actually read the website or read Darity’s work, then you would know that the general standard for “qualifying” as ADOS is having at least one ADOS ancestor and legally identifying as Black for the past 10 years. So, if she has white great-grandparents, it’s irrelevant.
Do some goddamn research and stop posting silly-ass shit from silly-ass niggas in here!

You're the ones discriminating against anyone with a drop of Caribbean or African blood.

Since when did we look at Umar or Roland as Haitian?

Or Joy as African and even questioning the legitimacy of Charlamagne, a bonafide SC ADOS.

Tone's bitch ass questioned the lineage of the Harriet director. It was you that started this fuckery.

Yvette looks like she has some very close white relatives, her parent's perhaps?

Fuck who Tone is sleeping with, that is clearly not a criteria for ADOS.

But dude was fair, using her own classifications on who is 'ADOS', she needs to step up.

I don’t think y’all get what people are saying when they ask questions about this movement. This is a valid issue. I agree that it is important for ADOS to mention and bring this history to light. It’s the “means” that is being questioned.

Bringing up the long history of government sanctioned discrimination and angst towards our People = important movement.

Using this historical fact and important argument to justify encouraging our people not to vote or only call out Democrats and not both parties = a misguided movement that is being exploited by Republicans and Russian bots who know the path to Republican control is to sow discord amongst our people and put up as many roadblocks to voting.

See they don’t want you to vote. If you get to the ballot and even write in a vote for President, you might fuck around and vote for an important state or local issue that also impacts are people. And they don’t want that.

I thought you said Obama already took care of the black farmers?

This is why it’s hard to take ninjas in this chat seriously. This has to be a joke - how exactly is this Obama’s fault when the whole program is a direct result of Trump’s fucked up tariff strategy?

99.5% went to white farmers and this is your response. No how does this meet the tenets of ADOS listed on the website. Why are you not outraged or at least calling out Trump? Had ADOS even responded to this shit?

Obama could and should have done more for Us. No doubt. But y’all sound like Ignorant Fox News/Yahoo message board commenters.

  • No one is “discriminating” against black people from the Caribbean or Africa. If so, show me where this is occurring. ADOS really aren’t in any economic, social, or legal position to discriminate against anybody. And the individual black people who are in those positions are usually 1st or 2nd generation immigrants themselves and/or pro-immigrant intersectionalists types who are politically and ideologically wedded to the Democratic Party. Our goal is to stop them from representing US and get them up outta OUR business because they are not US!
  • Umar is a pan-Afrikanist (and a fraud)whose ideology we regard as obsolete and ineffective. I don’t know anything about the Haitian thing in regard to him. Roland Martin is one of those types I just mentioned above - ideologically wedded to the Democratic Party.
  • Joy Reid IS half-Congolese and half-Guyanese, I believe. Her parents were immigrant students from those countries. She’s non-ADOS and she’s ideologically wedded to the Dem agenda. Charlemagne, regardless of his ancestry, has become a shill for Kamala Harris and he’s someone who isn’t qualified to be speaking on serious ADOS-issues.
  • Tone said Kasi Lemmons May be of South American descent. I don’t know how true that is. But if it is, and she hand-picked Cynthia Erivo, a British actress of Nigerian descent who has a history of tweets that mock Black Americans and who rolls with Luvvie, another Nigerian who has outright cracked jokes about American slavery, then it’s a problem since these women are involved in a film about Harriet Tubman. Not only their non-ADOS ancestry and that they’re not coming from our history or lineage, but also their blatant lack of respect for it.
  • Yvette’s parents are both black to my knowledge. She fits the definition of ADOS. And she went to Howard, just like the half-Jamaican half-Indian usurper Kamala Harris did.

And I will say again as I and others have stated before, the belief is that we should LEVERAGE our votes for candidates and policies that will produce TANGIBLE (meaning material and financial) benefits to us a group. Meaning that if a candidate lacks any such agenda, then we should only support a candidate who does.

ADOS as a movement is built on this shit. However, too many of y’all either cannot read, won’t read, won’t watch a few simple videos, or you’re just too busy sucking an African dick or a Democratic dick to educate yourselves on this shit, even though the information has been posted repeatedly, and I’m posting it again below.

There’s nothing else we can do at this point. You want to remain willfully ignorant. Why not just leave the thread rather than rehashing the same bullshit that has already been addressed?
