Niggas using 50's outside deals as his proof of relevancy are missing the point. The numbers on these deals has zero to do with the arts and the culture itself. Jay is a prime example of a rapper who can get wealthy off business deals while still remaining relevant within the arts. I'd rather Fif put out a Pimpin' Curly video every Tuesday than to release some fuckin' headphones/soft drink/video game product.

More about my business and my work ethic and how hard I go and how active I am with my support base and what I'm doing without his help or a major label or anybody. It was a very healthy talk, man. It was great. Getting a chance to learn some of his struggles and see what he's doing now. He's a real authentic guy. The first time I really met him, like shook his hand, was out in the Bay Area, but we never really got a chance to talk. He had a show out in San Francisco. This was the first time we really got a chance to sit down, talk, make some jokes, laugh, and stuff.
True... but he STILL got the deal done... He's the one who put it all together... Like Beatdown said... Rap is in his rearview mirror... That dude got so much shit going on, it's ridiculous...
But the truth is... 50 is like Rick Ross... They are only as good as their production... If the beats are Banging, then so are they... Plain and simple... Beside, his run in Hip hop is one of the greatest in hip hop history...

I think Fif is a good businessman and is a very smart guy but what business ventures has he done to where you'd consider him anything more than just a "average businessman"? He fucked up his empire from jump naming everything "G-Unit" when the "G-Unit" brand wasn't worth shit and was going to only have a good 2 or 3 year run. Naming clothes and shoes after that shit was silly.

I disagree. He was trying to build a brand by naming everything G-Unit, it's not much different from everyone and their mother running around with those "YMCMB" shirts, if anything it's free promotion and brand recognition.
50 did two incredibly stupid things that ultimately led to his downfall;
1. He started making pop/sing-song harmonizing bullshit like candy shop. It's like dude ignored the reason he was hot in the first place and turned his back on his fans. When he came out people loved him because he made raw street music, then he started doing the EXACT shit the old 50 was dissing Ja for.... fucking stupid
after that he might have realized he fucked up, maybe not, but that brings us to his next big fuck up
2. All the stupid fucking beefs. Maybe he thought lightning would strike twice and he'd get the streets back by starting all those beefs like a bully but the shit just became a tired ass gimmick. by the time he started beefing with rawse it was like "here we go again... man, fuck this nigga."
If 50 stuck to the original plan of destroying murder inc and continued giving the people the music they actually wanted we wouldn't be having these threads and conversations. Dummy went from the bad guy/underdog you wanted to cheer for to the hating ass black dude that calls a home owners association meeting when he sees another black family looking at a house in his community
Yea but Fif came at Rawse and Rawse unlike Game, Buck, Ja Rule, etc. had more dirt on him than any of those niggas and unlike those other guys his career is still striving. I'm speaking strictly on music and Rawse won. Rawse got a release date. Curtis don't. Curtis can say what he wants but he wants to be relevant in music. Being relevant in music opens up more business ventures for him.
