Yes overall sales are down, but overall dopeness is way up. Jay, Ye Wayne, Drake, Ross, Nicki are all on FIRE right now. 50? Not so much. I stated years ago that 50 Cent was the Britney Spears of Hip Hop.
Not really. Britney is still hot.

Are u really putting mj aginst 50 ? And I'm sure mike could sell out a 2500 seat venuewith ease son, and you can't compare mj international draw to 50
Do you comprehend the context of the statement? Apparently not. Lemme break it down for you: in "dumbass" terms.
You started off by saying that "as long as Em is selling, 50 will be aight"
I countered with "Em is 50's boss. As long as Em is selling, 50 is on his own"
Insight as to why I made my statement. It's common knowledge that Dr. Dre is the one who is Eminem's boss - Shady Records is a subsidiary of Aftermath which is a subsidiary of Interscope (Jimmy Iovine). We also all know that it was Emimen that signed 50 to his own label deal - G-Unit as a subsidiary of Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. Therefore substantiating my "Em is 50's boss" statement.
Over the years, 50 has taken great pride/arrogance to repeatedly say that "no one tells me what to do" when it comes to his career. Any thinking person knows that the person/entity that signs your checks reserves reasonable right to have say-so over your career path, if they deem necessary. As a so-called "boss" himself, 50 would not tolerate such statements from Banks or Yayo - see Buck and Game - so for him to make such a statement clearly sets a precedent between employee and management.
As his boss, and as someone who's infinitely more relevant, active and wealthy in this hip-hop music industry, I'm quite sure Eminem has taken silent heed and will let 50s sinking ship sink on its own without fucking up his own brand.
Understand now, SMARTass?

Ridin' Nicki's coattail don't make you hot. That is nothing more than corporations attempting to cross brands. Britney is nothing more than a brand like Coke. Nicki is becoming a brand but the brand is rooted in artistic culture. Britney is not artistic and the only culture she reps is the TMZ celebutaunt culture. What was her last hit by the way?

My bad that was a misread from the engadget article regarding sales of the headphones. But regardless to call him not relevant is stupid. If 50 takes a track to Hot 97 or frankly any radio station right now, it's getting played immediately. Not to say that it's a good track but just based on who he is, thats what will happen. He's not irrelevant. Cats like Beanie Sigel are irrelevant, 50 is not by a longshot irrelevant. Calling 50 irrelevant is like calling Diddy irrelevant. Diddy isn't putting out shit, nor does he have any artist, but he's not irrelevant, he's still prevalent in the game and so is 50.
Well its been years since I heard a track from 50 on the radio,if it wasn't for bgol I would think he had passed away. U gotta think outside of nyc cause outside of nyc that crap ain't getting played
Hmmm... Let's see....
200 million movie deal...
Giving out 10 million dollar distribution deals...
Still doing shows all over the world...
Meanwhile, Lil B... the HOTTEST RAPPER OUT... can't muster up over 3000 copies sold...
Yeah, 50 is LOSING...![]()

Let's be real here man 50 can get his shit debuted on any station TV/Radio/Website. Did I say he was making GOOD MUSIC....NO.. My whole point is he is relevant, for his music? no but relevant in the game as a whole. Say what you want about the movie deal, he's putting out movies. It's not like rappers with distribution deals and you never see a damn album. The movies while not blockbusters are coming out. No way it's gonna come up if they feel there is no chance for profit.
