Agreed. These damn penalties are killing us, which is the same old story with this team. Guys just can't get out of their own way.
This G & G (Garrapolo & Goodwin) combo is looking pretty damn good today.

He kept the chains moving & converted a bunch of 1st downs

Yeah I think I heard them say like 34 or 35 million. That's the Deadskins doing. I don't think Skins are tagging him though. 35 million is like almost 20 percent of the cap. You can't justify paying that for one dude.
I know y'all probably don't think much of him but I think Beathard got a bad rep. He had no business even being in a game.....he should've been sitting with a clipboard for this season.
Yeah, i think he can be a decent backup. I also think they drafted him too early, and the fact that they traded up for him makes it even worse
Yeah what worried me about him was his lack of mobility and his release. Dude can take some hits though. I'll give him that.

1. He has bad pocket presence, doesn't feel the pressure & slide out the way good enough to avoid sacks
2. He has bad footwork, throws off his back foot too much
3. His arm strength is questionable, a very average NFL arm, but could be slightly improved w/ better mechanics
4. He doesn't scan the field fast enough, tends to hold the ball too long...but all rookies do that at first

He just needs to sit & learn for a couple years
Arm strength will limit him from being a top 10 starting QB
But I can see him turning into an Andy Dalton or Alex Smith "game manager" type QB

^Agree with on all counts regarding Beathard. He can be Jimmy's backup for a few years. As well all know having a decent backup is a must. Last years backup turned out to be better than the starter (but that's another story)....
I'm fine with Jimmy and CJ growing together in the system. One less position to worry about. If we can sure up Center & Guard for next season it's going to be fun to watch.

No JJ Watt, no Whitney Mercilus, but they still have Clowney
On offense both DeAndre Hopkins & Will Fuller are going to play
Last week Vic Fangio used the same defensive scheme like he did when he coached us
Drop the safeties WAY far back, do not allow the deep ball, only rush 3 or 4, see if we can dink & dunk down the field
Beathard & Hoyer are not accurate nor consistent enough to hit all those medium range passes, and drive the length of the field
But lucky for us, Jimmy G is.....it played right to his strengths

I blame Saleh and his crew. It was clear in the 1st half that Johnson can't handle him. They refuse to give Johnson help.

We got robbed on the White catch. Dumb mofo was show-boating and wasn't touched down. That should have been a fumble recovery by us.
10 point win on the road. 5 straight scoring drives by the offense (when was the last time you heard that?). Defense played well also. Hopkins went off but they shut down everyone else.
