49ers

Of course it's all his fault.

When he hits those receivers in their hands and they drop it, it's because Kap didn't throw it right.

When he takes a 5 step drop and guys are in his face after the 3rd step, he should be able to avoid them and make a perfect pass.

every game the line has performed decently we've put up 20 he's look automatic and like a top qb

every one. lol

but nobody is interested in the fucking truth.

We couldnt get more for Vernon Davis

I know he fell off, but damn

Kap-excuses...
Please explain this play to me then
Even if it was a designed running play, you mean to tell me Kap couldn't look to his left PRE SNAP & see Torrey Smith WIDE DA FUCK OPEN waving his hands for the ball
He just ran that damn play without a second thought of looking at the freaking field
On the other side, the Corner was crashing in to stop the run even before the snap. Unbelievable

He also missed Patton wide open for a TD in the endzone
I guess there is something wrong with Kap's neck huh

Hold on homie. You never heard me say Kap is perfect. He did miss Torry all on the play. He did miss Patton (difficult pass running left though). He's also missed others this season. Dude has a lot to learn.

Now let's harp on that point. He is still a young QB in this league. What are they teaching him?

He worked with Warner this offseason. Work that appears to me has hurt him. The former Ram and Cardinal didn't really teach him much if you ask me.

My biggest gripe about Kap is situation awareness. There have been a number of times when the offense has been trying to run down the clock at the end of a game. Kap takes off running and runs out of bounds, stopping the clock instead of going down inbounds. That almost cost us in the Ravens and it cost us in the past.

Colin has A LOT to learn. He's talented as hell and I think he can. Someone needs to get with him and coach him up properly.

I'm not sure what you're talking about saying "quickly I turned on him"
I have been critical of Kap for YEARS
Even when he was winning, years ago, I was critical of all the mistakes he was making
The same shit I'm saying now is the same shit I've been saying, just look at the first few pages of this thread

I said before... making the move from Alex to Kap was the right move
Alex is Alex & will always be mediocre Alex Smith
As a matter of fact, this is how I got to know your name largebills.... because back in the day you used to ALWAYS post comments defending Alex' mediocre play after every 49er game
The same way you are doing know with Kap
Saying stuff like Alex has "potential", he'll get better, blah blah blah

The problem with Kap is that he is not consistent
He's taking 1 step forward & 2 steps backward (not just this year, last year as well)
He's not getting better, especially this year
Like I said before, he's out there playing with zero confidence
I think he needs to sit for a few weeks...not permanently...but for a few weeks to clear his head or something
He's not the only problem but he is definitely one of the problems wrong with the offense

And another important consideration is his salary
Kap is getting paid a lot of money
Management is not going to keep him on the roster paying him top dollar when we are only putting up less than 10 points a game
Plus Kap has that stipulation in his contract that if he gets hurt, they have to pay something like 20+ million guaranteed salary
No way they are going to risk getting Kap injured & have to pay him all his guaranteed money
Jed York & Trent Baalke are going to throw him under the bus
I already see it coming

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

Ian Rappaport is reporting Blaine Gabbert is starting against the Falcons.

:dance::dance::dance:

this is what the media wanted what the white 49er fans wanted from day 1

i hope everyone is happy.

:dance::dance:

I just saw both of your posts
I figured they were going to bench Kap
I thought Gabbert would start after the bye week though
Things are about to get interesting, we will see what happens

Like I said Kap has that guaranteed injury clause in his contract
Cheap ass management is not going to risk him getting hurt behind that shitty O-line, & have to pay out all that money

im not even worried about this shit anymore. i just want them to go ahead and do the right thing and send him to a team and fans that appreciate how fucking gifted he is and want to work with him and see him succeed.

we'll be looking for another qb every year for the next 10 years and we deserve it

best qb we've had since steve fucking young

literally took us to the fucking super bowl by his fucking self

and this is how you repay him when everything around him turned to shit.

he's giving up 200 yards rushing
dropping passes
missing blocks
and keeping people who are proven trash as the starters

all his fault

Agreed on them making a move after the bye and the injury clause. I really think it's what the benching Kap is all about. Devey and Pears have absolutely sucked all season yet they are still out there. So it's not about performance.

49ers Brothers,

I just got home and heard the new about Kaep and Davis!!...:hmm:

I knew benching Kaep was coming!!...i know the oline isn't good but some of this is on kaep as well...just don't understand what had happen to kaep!!..:smh::smh:

As for Davis, his time was up as a 49ers..good luck to him in denver!!..:hmm:

you can't grow with no protection period

any qb that grows has something he can lean on what is it that kap can lean on? what help does kap have?

ill wait.

Is he regressing of simply having a bad season? I say it's a little of both.

Bad seasons happen. Look at Luck and Newton. Their asses are playing just as "poorly" as Kaepernck is. They are all having sub par seasons based on a number of factors.

Regression can be looked at a number of ways. The one way I see Kap regressing is in his throwing. Whatever he did this offseason with Warner he should never do again. We've all seen him sail passes to high or to soft. He needs to go back to letting it rip.

I really hate to say I told y'all... But I did... But now that Gabbert is starting I GUARANTEE we don't win another game.. Colin has the legs of a cheetah and a laser rocket arm and he can't do anything behind that garbage line with those sorry receivers, so I'm actually  excited to see Gabberts sorry ass give it a whirl. He might literally be the most inept passer in the league... We're gonna look like the 2008 Detroit Lions, but fear not Faithful, this what we need , if we want change.. Chryst is not an OC, Mangini is an idiot & Tomsula is a position coach... You can't shop at dollar general for your staff and think you're gonna compete in 2015... Honestly the NFL needs to take this team from the Yorks like MLB did the Dodgers.

2 things.

when given the proper time before the snap he's almost always made the right read and throw.

the last year under harbaugh there was no pre snap read because there was no time after the call in. and the line was ass.

this year when the line has protected he's been good. when they haven't he hasn't

people pointing to regression and it's just simply not true.

he's as consistent and as good as his line allows him to be. he's like any other qb who can't get into a rhythm if his line can't block for him but is deadly when the line can.

that's all kap is.

the 2 steps back are games where he's under fire and makes mistakes just like every other qb. there is not 1 game where the line did a great job of consistently protecting him... not cherry pick a play where he might have had time and forget the 8 sacks before it which got him flustered.. which get everyone flustered from peyton to brady to everyone might i add..

not 1 game where he got solid protection and he looked like trash.

I agree with you on York. ive never liked him. im on here saying that. i didn't and don't blame him for everything but he's a 34 year old moron who has no business running a franchise of this caliber.

period.

LBOP I'm just mad it took us so many unnecessary fights for you to come around, you actually believed this shit would be successful!? You had "reasons"... Let's just hope we get to 2-14 and make some things happen.

I still stand by my reasons that is independent of yed york though fam.

I really wasn't far off if they could figure out how to put together both sides of the ball.

we would be at least 4-4 right now.

but that's another story for another time. You won't find me supporting jed york ever in the history of this board or defending HIM. not one time I just don't want to focus on HIM because ain't shit that WE can really do about HIM.

Our schedule gets a little easier after the bye
I think we can beat the Lions, Browns, & Bears
But yea we need a top 10 draft pick to get our LT of the future
Joe Staley is getting up there in age, & we are still not sure whats up with Anthony Davis, can't count on him to show up

First round:
Get our Left Tackle

Second round:
Get a REAL Center
(Marcus Martin is not very good, & KilGore is only a little above average + I think KilGore only has 1 more year left on his current contract)
(Let Martin, KilGore, & Thomas compete for the guard spots)

Third round:
Get a middle LB to play next to Bowman

Fourth round:
Another backup RB or backup passrusher (if we don't sign one in free agency)

Kap signed that shitty contract that allows the 49ers to dump him easily (unlike Jay Cutler)
If Gabbert plays well, Kap is going to be in serious trouble
I'm probably the only one who will say this but to keep it real....
Gabbert was playing well in the preseason

Dude had a quicker release than Kap, & better pocket presence than Kap
He was moving the ball well when he was playing this preseason
Last preseason Gabbert was total shit, but this preseason he actually looked okay
(I know I know, it was just preseason)

If Gabby plays okay let him compete with Kap next year for the starting QB spot
Or at the very least, this will allow Kap to calm his nerves, relax & chill for a few weeks
He really needs some time off to refocus & get back on his grind

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

Honestly the NFL needs to take this team from the Yorks like MLB did the Dodgers.

As much I wanted to believe in Jed being like Uncle Eddie, I see he's more like poppa John now. It's about business, not the team.

So when I see Joe Staley quietly being available for trade I'm not even shocked.

I'm probably the only one who will say this but to keep it real....

You're not the only one. Dude was balling in the preseason.

However, the play-calling was different and teams weren't game planning against us. It's going to be interesting to see how he does on Sunday.

if you're going to keep it real then keep it all the way real. in the pre season they were calling roll out passes with gabbert. quick crossing routes with gabbert and all of the things we began to do with kap and not against the teams #1's

in the preseason they put intentional pressure on the offensive line calling long developing passing plays to see if they could block or how they could block or if they could block when kap was in there.

if you really want to keep it real of course.

We will see what happens these next few weeks won't we
15-20 million dollars is a lot to pay a QB, especially when he is constantly missing wide open receivers for easy first downs
And especially when he has a guaranteed 30 million dollar injury clause in the shitty contract he signed

The plan should be:
Let Gabbert play the next 4 games
Even if he does stink let Gabbert play anyway, to give Kap some time to refocus & get a different perspective
Bring Kap back the last 4 games to see if he pulled himself out of his rut

OR if Gabbert plays well these next 4 games, leave him in for the rest of the season
Then next offseason, let Kap & Gabbert compete for the starting spot
Again...We will see what happens these next few weeks won't we

its not a lot to pay a guy who took our sorry asses to the super bowl and who we know that if the team is at least decent or talented he can take us all the way

we fucking know this curt. let's not play these weak ass games.

lol

the team around him has gone to shit now we want to blame him for not working a fucking miracle?

you mention missing wide open receivers for easy first downs but don't mention all the easy ass drops those receivers miss after he makes the right throw on the money to extend drives right?

like i said the expectations are unrealistic for kap. he is allowed to miss throws. he's allowed to make the wrong read but more times than not he will deliver.

these last 2 games he hasn't even been bad he's had no fucking help. no pass blocking against seattle and didn't toss a turnover. bad coaching and all

against st louis there was no running game to speak of and the line was getting its ass beat after the snap and he avoided so many near sacks. put the ball on the money and those receivers were simply not making plays

he missed torrey smith on that play and torrey missed a crucial pass on 3rd and 15 to keep the drive going. right in his hands.. but let's not talk about that

he needs fucking help. and he's not getting it from anyone. on either side of the ball. and everyone is blaming him to save their own asses and its sickening.

if we let him go we will see him win a ring with another franchise period.

i just don't get yall. i really don't.

Man, have I said "we need to let him go" ???
No I have not !!!
What have I been saying ???
"We need to sit Kap for a few weeks, so he can refocus"
Simple as that !!!

He's probably commenting on what the media has been saying. All the talk about his contract and how it's easy to move on from him.

I agree with your plan though. He needs to sit and get his head right. Taking a step back and viewing the game from the sideline can give him perspective. Hopefully he comes back slinging it.

Curt, I'm never addressing you personally in the posts unless i specify it.

It's mostly the narrative and what's been going down and what everyone is alluding to.

I'm not putting THAT on you.

I am warning those who say we should move on against making the dumbest mistake in the franchise's history.

i want the guy to come back

baalke let him down and the team down not signing mathis when he should have

davis fucked us over retiring after the draft so i cannot fault baalke for it nor for martin because they thought kilgore would be ready

he gets a pass on those 2 things the rest of it is on the coaching staff

pears and dervy fucking suck. they better play all the snaps while gabbert is in and kilgore better not play until kap comes back

if they start tiller and others and kilgore they'll fuck around and give gabbert time to do something and nobody will EVER try and say that its a different line he's playing behind they will just say

the guy that is 4-2 in the playoffs and we know is clutch and will show up in the biggest moments who puts the team on his back and almost never has any fucking help isn't as good as blaine gabbert.

I've notice about the playcalling this year and last year are different from the years the team was good...does the team do the read option, because I've notice it's been missing, since last year and I'm wondering,if the GM and owner told Harbaugh and the new coach not to do it

I find it weird, since it was the reason the read option made that offense a threat and allowed Kap to deadly runner... :dunno:
