49ers

Our defense was NOT TIRED because we used everybody

Wilhoite on run downs.
Tartt on passing downs
Tank on passing downs.
Eli harold got in there.
Dial dorsey and ian clogging that middle.

Acker shutting his side of the field down.
Brock in football form.

this is what happens when you don't sit people for no damn reason

Good win, the defense looked great, Hyde looked Spectacular!!!, Kaep an the downfield passing game gon need some work.. Overall after one week I can say I was wrong about the overall prospectus of this team.. I hope they keep proving me wrong next week in PA.

just stay with us fam lol we're only going to get better as they get more experience together.

One that finally makes sense we switched from the power blocking to the zbs... which makes perfect sense since we have hyde who comes from zone and hunter who came from zone.. both quick.. no more let the play develop for 3 seconds.. its hit the hole and go.

Thanks playa. Good, tough win by your Broncos yesterday.

Man listen.. That chick was a casual internet find. I actually searched for hola-hoop and there it was. :D

I just saw the highlights of the game last night...yall look good..I think alot of people underestimated yall defense

As,for the Broncos...everybody is freaking out as usual that the offense isn't scoring 30 points a game..You have some who want to get rid of Manning all of a sudden..

textbook!

Def a good start to the season. The energy was good while at the game. There was a certain optimism in the air that has certaintly been lacking from about everybody, save the most dedicated fans.
The defense was FLYING last night.
GottA clean up some of the passing, but it was good seeing a game plan that works to our advantage.
I say we did ok for a team who is supposedly in the running for the #1 pick next year

Did the vikings keep 2 deep safeties?

Thanks CurtDog, between working and my daughter, I missed most of the game, thanks for the post and all of you guys filling me in on whats going on..

I guess 1-1 aint too bad

I told ya'll the right side of our O-line is total shit !!!
They can run block, but can't pass block for shit !!!
If we go up against a team with a good run defense, we are fucked
Or if a team scores a lot on us early, we are fucked

We HAVE TO use the TE's to block on the right side
When we try to pass, all teams need to do is blitz from that same side
Minnesota did not take advantage of it b/c they suck

Also, on defense last game, we had to blitz a lot just to get consistent pressure
It worked on Bridgewater b/c he's not that good
Can't do that shit with Big Ben
And these speedy WR's are killing us !!!
Our defense can't hang with the Steelers fast offense

Like I said before...
This is an 8-9 win team who will probably miss the playoffs
We can't get to the Superbowl with this O-line.... PERIOD !!!

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

On a side note.....
Gawd damn Vernon Davis is TRASH !!!
I also told ya'll this like a year ago !!!

I am so sick of him giving a halfass effort
Dude plays with NO HEART AT ALL !!!
He hates contact
He tries to run around (even run backwards) defenders instead of running through them
He never had good hands but, he's constantly drops balls now...constantly
Dude runs lazy fucking routes & does not give 100% effort to stretch out for the ball

On the real they should have traded him in the offseason, for a decent draft pick
Vernon has not been the same since Kam Chancellor knocked him out a year & a half ago
Last year was not an anomaly, its going to be the norm with him
He just does not have the heart or desire anymore & you can clearly see it by the way he plays

Largebills, I told you this same shit last year & you were like, oh he's injured, blah, blah, blah
Nah fam, Vernon is just playing SOFT !!!

:smh::smh::smh:

Nothing to worry about.

This was a scheme loss.

Defense didn't come to play and the defense just didn't offer any resistance.

Secondary especially was bad and just too many blown assignment. this game was 100% on the defense.

Offensively the line needs to play better but the coaches need to put the ball into kap's hands. he was on target all day. call the quick plays. and take some shots.
Kap played great today and if not for a few drops there would be 14 more points on the board.

You can't plan on the defense giving up 43 points easily like they did.

It wasn't a talent issue. it was a coaching issue and mostly coaching on the defensive end.

Have to clean up the red zone. we had 2 drives in the 1st half of 17 plays and only had 3 points to show for it.

get 14 on those drives its a different game MAYBE

but all of it is moot offensively because the defense was why we lost today.

This is total fucking bullshit !!!
We beat a Vikings team that was just not very good & slept on us
Teddy left alot of plays on the table
He could have easily exposed our secondary more
We had to blitz to get pressure last game, & the same for this game

The team today is the exact same team we saw in the preseason
1) We don't have a consistent pass rush... unless we blitz
2) Our secondary is kinda average
3) The right side of the O-line is trash...unless we use multiple TE's to compensate

Thats not coaching, thats lack of talent
And Aldon Smith & Anthony Davis aren't walking through the 49ers door tomorrow
This is what pisses me off about you b/c you purposely ignore glaring weaknesses & continue with your typical "nothing to worry about" routine

I'm Out !!!

we DO need more pass rush with 4 man pressure. WE DO need better coverage. what we can do is not leave them on an island they're not ready for that YET
brown is the best wr in the nfl you can't leave a rookie 1 on 1 with no help on him all game.

needed to STOP blitzing at times but really the defense didn't play hard on the 2nd and 3rd level.

the intensity wasn't there.

I gotta point at the coordinators for today and ask them what were they thinking.

Defense: No double-teaming of Brown or leaving a safety over the top.

Offense: Not spreading them out (until the end) when they got picked apart in week 1.

It made no sense. :smh:

Curt it turns out that the steelers used max protection against us.
So we need to ease off of the no pressure just slightly. This was a magini problem. Instead of crowding the line of scrimmage we needed to double cover brown and make someone else beat us and we didn't.

There's not much 4 pass rushers can do against 7 blockers. Our secondary was just not coached up right yesterday. I can deal with a scheme issue. Not a talent issue. Our coaches didn't put us in the best position to win.

On defense play coverage and make wheaton and those others beat you.

On offense test their secondary like they tested ours. They couldn't cover VD, Torrey or boldin all day. celek got open get patton in there he got open.

Just not a good scheme day for us.

Was down in LA on venice beach so I didn't watch the game. Just read forums and twitter.
:(
Kap obviously played horrible,
But was Martin, Devey, and Pears THAT bad?!!
Heard there was no pressure either and Carson Palmer looked like he was playing Arizona St. 12 years ago :smh:

The linemen on the bench can't be this much worse than those 3

That was exactly it.

Kap just had a horrible game. It happens to EVERYONE. this was his. Before this game he had only thrown 1int in the pass 300 pass attempts or something crazy like that. yesterday was his day.
And immediately everyone wants to replace him

Line was poor. everyone. not just the right side. Martin was bad boone was getting beat. On pass plays he would barely be able to drop back without people crashing down on him 80% of the time.
on running plays the back would be met behind the line of scrimmage by a cardinal defender.

It's really simple. Fix the o-line fix the team.

Defensively everything would work if there was a real pass rush. Its designed so that the qb has to make a quick decision and its the decision we want the qb to make. with no pressure plays develop and receivers are open.

everything the cardinals did was over the middle where the linebackers were. the outside corners yesterday actually played really damn good.

but. running free over the middle is an easy completion and that goes to pressure not really being as effective as it needs to be.

On run downs keep it the same. Dial dorsey and williams are doing their jobs.

On passing downs tartt needs to be in and armstead needs to be in on every passing down. 2 weeks in a row now he's been the only one getting consistent pressure on the quarterback collapsing the pocket.

I have a problem with this...

Cardinals came out in 11 personnel a lot in the 1st quarter and Mangini's call was Base defense, cover 3 the whole time. Thus, leaving Fitzgerald to run free in the slot with LB's covering his area....

As we saw the result was not good as Palmer picked it apart. Just like last week he did not adjust to it. :smh:

Only adjustment he made was not making the safeties come to the line of scrimmage however the safeties were in charge of coverage too much.

A lot of the calls would work if we got pressure. so that means brooks needs to come out on pass rushing downs because he can't rush from that side of the field. and armstead and tank need to be in automatically to collapse that pocket. Armstead has been a fucking beast in the pass rush he commands a double team already.

Good teams do one of three things, win championships, build towards championships and/or assess players to know what they can build with.. We are clearly at the later.. No need to worry about wins an loses, instead we need to be sitting out players we can build with..

We were getting to Palmer and getting good shots on him. The pressure was there from Brook and Lynch. However, receivers were too open based on what was happening on the back end. Fitzgerald was coming off the line free as a bird. It was easy pickings.

Armstead & Tank.... MAN LISTEN!!! I am licking those 2 dudes together on rush downs. They are getting some damn good push inside. They seriously need them in there.

So should we just go dime every time on passing downs? Tartt, Ward, dontae in there and then the pass rushers? I'd like to see that with reid and bathea playing center field

Tank Dial and Armstead collapsing that pocket is beastly. dial and amrstead already command double teams.

No need to go dime. However, I do say match personnel and don't let all pro's run free without at least getting a chip on them.

You saw it yesterday where Brooks would lineup with Fitzgerald in the slot then come off of him before the snap to rush Palmer. That left Fitz with a free release. I don't like the idea of giving guys free releases and looks at open guys. But thats just me. :D

Dude, you gotta love the D-line. Dial, Williams and Dorsey on base are stout. They had a good day yesterday. Tank & Armstead were moving people around when they got on the field. I have no problem with that unit. I would like to see Jerrod-Eddie sit down and Purcell suit up though. After what he did in preseason I would like to see him out there with the real bullets firing.

Agreed. that's an easy adjustment if they're paying attention. No more free releases. Mess up the timing so that the play you called can work.

Jerod eddie makes no impact. more than happy with the defensive line. stout on the run and tank and armstead do their fucking thing every game.

Just read a quote where Tyrann Mathieu said we run very basic routes, hence the numbers
:puke::(

Don't buy into that. Nobody is running incredible complex routes.

You running a slant/post/out/crossing/fade.

It ain't the routes, it was the pressure. Their defense is what our defense was supposed to create with push up front.

The Cardinals ran a basic ass seam route right down the middle of the field and hit on those throws.

So did the steelers.

don't fall for it fam.

:puke::(

AS LBOP says don't buy into it. It's not the routes and it damn sure wasn't their coverage...

Watch the game again. Our guys were open. The throws were just bad. We're talking late, inaccurate and under thrown. Kap hit the bad passing hat trick and he owned up to it.

On those plays, watch the line. You'll see how the Cardinals attacked the right side of our line (the weak link). Unfortunately the plays we ran were to the right. Kap was throwing flat footed or off balanced. He couldn't step up and deliver the ball like he normally does.

So don't buy into the post game trash talk. Evaluate for yourself.
