49ers

Man.....I don't wish this offseason on even my worst enemies. Keep y'all head up 49ers fans.....its about to be a long road ahead.

He's clearly got serious issues. Ain't nothing nobody can do about that.

Edit: We'll see what happens with him. He just said it wasn't a DUI on TV. who knows what's going on.

the team is excited. the team is rejuvenated. the team might actually use all of the players it has. the rest of the nfl world is going to be surprised just how much we didn't do under harbaugh by how much we do under the new regime.. little things like screen passes, getting the play called on time so you don't have to call a timeout 2 times a game.. blitzing on defense..

how the broncos looking?

I haven't really kept with the Broncos, but I did read that Cody Latimer is doing and Manning is excelling in Kubiak's system. They're going to put Emmanuel Sanders in the slot, since Latimer will be the #2 receiver...I'm assuming Kubiak is going to keep Manning's playbook, but somehow implementing it with his..Kubiak got Manning under center though..

As,for the running backs,CJ Anderson is the #1 back and Montee Ball is #2..they're making Juwan Thompson the fullback, since he has the size for it and I have no clue what they're going to do with Ronnie Hillman...Broncos fans want him gone, even though he was the reason, the running game was rejuvenated last year, because we couldn't run the ball to save our lives....We also have other running back, but I think they're going to be cut,but who knows

As,for the defense, since the defense already played some 3-4 for the past couple of years, the transition is smooth, but Wade Philips promise to put pressure, something Del Rio neglected to do most of the time....My only issues is that Wade Philips teams always have trouble putting pressure on the Tom Brady and we play them for the fourth or fifth year in a row, later in the season

If,you want to know how I feel..I'm on a wait and see approach, because this maybe Manning's last year and have no clue how he's going to do with the new scheme....I just want to see some fight with them, because I'm still pissed about their performance against the Seahawks and Colts the last two years...

Some magazine did an article saying some Broncos players were petrified going to New England in the playoffs,if they would of won against the Colts...I looked at the article like,I wasn't surprised, because alot of players didn't had no fight at all in that Colts playoff game.but it did pissed off Elway though, because he's trying to get Manning another Superbowl ring, before he retire...

Manning has to be. zone blocking and the play action pass won't work with him in shotgun so that's no surprise and good to hear.

We're moving to pressure as well as for us though it's going to be the 1st time we actually use pressure and blitzes.. we haven't over the past 5 years. Our secondary will still remain complex but now our front 7 will be complex too. Magini has said we want to dictate what the offense can and cannot do.. which is a welcome change from the let's just play it and see what happens and get by on talent defense we've had

All i can do :smh::smh::smh:

It absolutely sucks that Aldon did this. 100%

This isn't a bright side these are just facts.

We restructured his deal so we have basically no dead money his contract was incentive based.

And we drafted Eli Harold and still have Aaron Lynch to fight it out.

Does not cover up losing Aldon not one bit.

just pointing those other things out to think about as well.

What kind of offense is the 49ers is using?

I hope losing Aldon Smith doesn't fuck up the defense much....what the hell he's doing....:smh::smh::smh:

And,to finish my point about Cody Latimer,he's doing great in camp.

One that finally makes sense we switched from the power blocking to the zbs... which makes perfect sense since we have hyde who comes from zone and hunter who came from zone.. both quick.. no more let the play develop for 3 seconds.. its hit the hole and go.

and we're going to be using screens.. ask any 49er fan any of them that feel good or bad about this team they'll tell you about the lack of screens or getting the rb's involved in the passing game by the design of the coaches and how much that hurt us.

passing wise we've got speed now.. real elite speed and coaches who are actually going to use them and they're being coached for the 1st time in forever. our wr coaches have been absolutely horrible. haven't developed anybody. everyone has stayed the same as when they arrived.. that changes now

Not to beat a dead horse to the ground, but now that the dust has finally settled to the Harbaugh departure Apocalypse, a few things is pretty safe to say...

One is that Harbaugh is the type of guy to be bullheaded enough to do the same thing over and over again hoping to get lucky and have it work once, so that he could prove that his decision was correct in the first place.. Most opposing head coaches would psych themselves out thinking he's not dumb enough to run that play again.. However when he went up vs his own brother John, he knew fully well how retarded that mother fucker was, and seem to know every play Jim was calling before he called them...

The only mistake John made was out coaching his brother so badly that he was forced to say fuck it, do what ever, and this nearly allowed the 9ers to get back in the game and win, however as soon as we were in position to win the game Jim had to take control of the wheel, and you guessed it, John was able to once again predict all of his plays..:smh:

Shit, you can tell by the way Jim dresses that his dumb ass is not too good at change and making smart decisions..
But one thing we can say about Jim is that he was one of the greatest motivators since Mike Dikka, that boy can convince a Zebra to take on a Rhino, this is a great thing to have in a coach, that is until the Zebra starts to get fucked up and starts to realize that it isn't going to work out, quite the way the coach told him it would..

Likewise our players got so gassed up by Jim's bullshit, that it left them beaten, battered and mentally weak, and once their inflatable ego left them there was nothing left keeping them standing..
That is why the player who brought into it the most all got injured, wanted to quit, or just went bat shit crazy..:smh:
Its almost like Jim Jones when he convinced his flock that the world was coming to the end and drinking the Kool Aid was the only way out..:smh:

You can write off one or two events as coincidence, however this much shit, going the way it did is no accident or run of bad luck, Habs mind fucked the players into playing off the wall, but as the result, they became overly dependent on Jim thinking for them, and this is why they are so mentally weak!!!!

In case you guys are interested in camp stuff lol

a few changes going forward defensively.

  1. The defensive line is going to be a beast. Dial is showing out and being mean. We have ian williams healthy and dorsey healthy it's going to be hard to run against them. Dockett is going to be there for nickel as well as tank for nickel pass rush and by all accounts we're going to use all of them. No more of the regular base shit for the whole game.
  2. The linebacking core without aldon is damaged. It is not finished though. What's happening is everyone is cross-training. So everyone is playing both sides from the linebacking position. Eli harold is beasting. Lynch had pulled hamstrings but he'll be ready in a week. Moody is shining. He always had the ability he was just horrible at tackling, it looks like he's got that corrected.
  3. Secondary looks like we got another rehab situation going on. Nobody thought rogers was going to be shit with us and then he turned into a pro bowler. Am not predicting anything but wright looks like he's found a home. Johnson has built on his rookie campaign and brock is completely healthy. Safety we never had to worry about and look out for Tartt. he's going to make some noise.

I just looked at the Broncos preseason schedule and we play yall in the third week...

I'm looking forward to see how both teams play that day...:yes::yes:

He reminds me of Ellington a bit. I wonder if it might come down to one or the other.

he's way more polished than ellington. ellington was the gadget guy in college kind of. deandrew was a highly recruited wide receiver that went to alabama. he couldn't stay healthy but his speed (sub 4.4 ) and his route running has been crazy IN CAMP. we get to see it today too.

i think more likely it comes down to patton if one of the regulars is going to be on the outside.

flipper's son has been hurt so that hurt him. jerome simpson has his speed and is making plays. ellington still has value as a return man so we'll see.

Awesome

Offense. The line held up and did a good job against jj watt and vince wilfork on the same damn line. made holes for hyde who looked shifty and made some plays. macdonald holds killed us

kap was poised in the pocket. went through his reads completed to boldin and took a deep shot gotta get their timing down but we took a damn deep shot it was like 60 yards in the air and got out of there

defense. 1st and 2nd down we were great. 3rd down moody was victimized. missed a few plays they could have made

but the goal line stand wipes all of that out.

good work guys

Alright

Good
Offensive line 1st string.
hyde looked good hayne looked good. kap was able to stay in the pocket. torrey got deep. play calling was in rhythm.

defensive line was good to start the inside linebackers were pretty much the sole reason the texans moved the ball. they didn't do their job tonight. so its going to be a battle for the lone position.

Pinion is the real deal. dawson was good and the kick coverage 1st unit was outstanding.

Acker, Johnson, Brock showed good today. Reid did good today. Bathea made some good plays took a horrible angle on the td but otherwise solid.

Bad.

dylan thompson. nick moody in coverage and skov around the line too many mistakes. 3rd down defense but most of that was moody.
ol depth. they didn't do a good job on the back end i guess but those guys won't be making the team anyway.

Lemoneir. Time for him to be cut. Lynch will start and harold is already better than him.

Encouraged
Okoye and Armstead.

I know you are trying to make the team seem like the best thing since sliced bread...but you need to slow down a little fam
BOTH JJ Watt & Vince Wilfork were out... neither of them played at all !!!

Moody has ALWAYS been trash & looks like he will continue being trash
Dude was a liability all game long in coverage
Sad thing, he is the 3rd ILB, if Willhoite or Bowman get injured
We need to pick up another backup ILB
Shane Skov is kinda okay, but Moody needs to go
...And also why is Craig Dahl still on this team
Rookie Tartt looked pretty good, so maybe we can finally cut Dahl

Deandrew White
Book it

Slow your roll on White
In camp he was made out to be the next coming of Odell Beckham Jr
But in this game he did next to nothing
DeAndrew White even got outshined on special teams by the rugby player Haynes
Yes I know, QB Dylan Thompson is trash, but...
White was playing against the Texans 2nd & 3rd string defense & still didnt get open much
The jury is still out

Oh and glad there were no serious injuries in camp or preseason yet
:cool::cool::cool:

i'm not i thought i heard tim ryan use that as a talking point. if they didn't play ok. they still did just fine kap had time and there was no dire situation for him the entire drive. he even had time to sit there and wait for torrey to get 50 yards down the field before he threw it.

well i don't think he is going to be. i think he's the run ilb bowman is going to be the coverage ilb. he made some good run plays but the coverage was really bad.

skov was ok just out of position sometimes not for lack of trying he's solid depth imo.

tartt is the key. who is going to cover the tight ends might be moot. as i alluded to when we got him he's the one that's going to be doing the covering and hitting

and dahl is utter trash. white privilege is the only reason i can try to understand him still being in the nfl.

jury is always out but thompson is complete trash. its just like last season we couldn't judge anyone because gabbert was playing like trash. white needs to run with the 2's so we can actually see what he can or can't do.

and im tired of us holding onto sorry ass backs. gaskins just cut the weak ass dude. let mike davis get these carries let hayne get these carries. hyde looked like a #1 back we have reggie and hunter. hayne and davis need the carries gaskins has no chance of making the team.

purcell looked good.
acker actually looked REALLY good.
okoye looked good against the scrubs.
armstead looked good in spots but mostly tired which is to be expected he couldn't work out with the team in the off season due to stupid rules since he went to oregon.

the offense itself looked like it made sense.
i did not see the red clock signaling the play clock was close to expiring once.

johnson looked solid brock was solid 1 bs p.i.
goal line defense was awesome.
wright looked OK not great not horrible. if you're in position i can't be mad when someone else makes a play.

the things i wanted to see i saw now we have to improve.

main thing was time management and cohesiveness

And im judging the team and everything the EXACT same way i did when we got harbaugh.

not predicting a single thing.

I just know we have talent all over the field. my only concern is the other ilb position at this point.

NOW can they be coached up? Will the coaches put them in the right positions to succeed? Will they be able to make the right adjustments? we have to wait and see.

I wanted to see if the line was horrible- it was not.
I wanted to see if the defensive line could do their thing- 7 straight runs and they couldn't get a yard answers that.

I wanted to see the clock management. We were in a flow on offense all series aren't going to work but it can't be because the coaches don't know what they're doing. so far so good.

now improve.

defensively there was confusion and now is the time to get those things worked out and grow from them but just individual talent its there and we're missing lynch and dockett from the fold as well

but that's what i was looking for today. next week more playing time for the offense and defense and see what happens.

penalties kills drives in preseason regular season and playoffs so it happens.

First preseason game in the books..

1st half MVP's were Hayne and Purcell. They were balling.

2nd half Mike Davis ran well despite getting no help from the O-Line. Harold, Tartt and Skov all made plays. Armstead knocked some guy on his ass in the beginning of the quarter. After they the double teamed him. That's a good sign.

Can't wait until next week. Hopefully coach Jim lets the starters play longer.
