49ers

The Niners have some talent so while on paper 2-14 is what my heart says... 4-12 is more than likely the reality... We don't pay coaches, we don't target marquee free agents, we don't retain marquee free agents and we've given the reigns to a guy who's more interested in making "chic" picks than actually fielding a good squad... Does this guy ever just draft the best player available???
He's drafting Punters while talented guys are still available .. I swear this is the Dennis Erickson era part 2....

we pay coaches money. the assistants make what any other group of assistants make those are fact.

torrey smith, dockett, bush are now not marquee free agents

and i agree with drafting a punter was a stupid fucking move.

everything im fine with.

Torrey Smith is garbage, you'll see... Dockett is old and more interested in thirsting instagram Thots... Reggie Bush is the only thing they've done that makes sense, but that's contingent on them actually giving him the fucking ball... The Niners will use every excuse under the sun to NOT give the ball to the speedy guys, only thing saving us is bruce millers domestic violence situation, he won't be available for his 15 touches a game

if this were roman and them id agree with you 100%. there's a reason bush signed with us when the patriots wanted him too.

smith is going to be great for what we need. speed on the outside. speed on the outside opens up everything on the inside and intermediate. so even if he doesn't catch 100 passes his 60 or so with 40 deep ones is worth it because now vd can't be bracketed over the top like last year.

also miller was already on thin ice before this dumb shit trey millard is going to be taking over the fb duties. the coaching staff so far is preaching using everyone to their strengths and that's the exact opposite of what roman and harbaugh did. they made people do what they felt needed to be done, that's how you turn a pass catching tight end out of college into solely a blocker

and how you sit hyde on the bench for no reason

and how ellington can't get on the field... and not because he wasn't talented enough either.

did you know that we never ran goal line red zone offense during practices as an emphasis over the past 4 years? showed up in game didn't it?

well by all accounts this coaching staff is preaching cohesion on both sides of the ball. and we've got competent people at position coaches. really excited to see what sporano does with the tight ends and the guy who helped odb jr and landry be ready made nfl wr's does with our core because those 2 positions have been severely undercoached

to go along with retaining rathman

defensive side we're on par with what we had and that's all we really needed.

:yes::yes:

very good points

Brandon Thomas did pretty well

me and curt already said it.

if he's healthy.

Staley--Thomas--Kilgore--Martin---ADavis

top 3 Offensive line for the next 5 years

and then insert Brown into Staley's spot if he pans out

and then Add another 5 years to that.

This is why VD is going to have a great year.

1. he needs a new contract
2. he's healthy
3. We have speed at EVERY position finally. You have to respect the outside and the backs so you can't just roll coverage to him. Middle of the field will be wide the fuck open.
4. Sporano is the tight ends coach.. best tight end coach in the league imo.

I expect big things from whoever we go with at tight end.

This is why the backs will have a great year if used correctly.

Hyde-
1. More opportunities. he already was among the league leaders in broken tackles with limited carries last season.
2. He's lost weight. Similar to how Bell from the steelers was just a bit too chunky but lost a few pounds and became dynamite, this is what hyde has done.
3 Zone blocking scheme is what he ran in college. He knows it like the back of is hand.

Hunter-
1. If he's healthy he was already lightning in a bottle he just couldn't get on the field because gore hogged all the carries.
2. We by all accounts are FINALLY going to use the backs as receivers at certain points. he can do this he just didn't have the chance to over the past 4 years

Bush
1. He won't be asked to be the feature back or run between the tackles much.
2. With Torrey streaking down 1 side, and Vernon streaking down the other, all that's left is a linebacker 1 on 1 with Bush, that's a win for us. Middle screens should produce good results

Mike Davis
1. He's frank gore Jr.

Here is why we should be hopefully at the wide receiver position. For the first time in about 8 or 9 years we have a wide receiver coach who can develop talent. for the past 8 or 9 years our receivers neither progressed or regressed. they stayed exactly the same.

Our linebackers should be crazy because

Aldon is hungry as fuck today he and tank are at voluntary workouts taking tips from charles haley. he's playing for an extension.

Lynch is hungry as fuck. Brooks is hungry and in shape he was not last year remember

Bowman is 100%. So much so we didn't even address the inside linebacker position in the draft. If there was a worry you better believe we would have.

Wihoite is solid but I think Wheeler will overtake him
Wheeler was moved to outside linebacker but he's not an outside linebacker he's an inside linebacker and his career year guess who his coach was? Yup you guessed it, our coach...Tarver

The longer I study the draft the more I like, it may not be spectacular out the box, but it's something that can set us in the right direction in the future.

Man you need a to be a fuckin life coach if you aint already...... put a positive spin on anything :lol:

But seriously, i do think we will be better than a lot of "experts" think. We have too much talent on hand.

I could see if i was like hey we've got all these unproven guys and we didn't do anything in free agency cause we didn't need to and the coaches we have on the staff have no experience in anything and aren't tops among their positions but by some miracle they're all going to magically work it out! lol

im just saying a linebacker core with aldon lynch brooks and bowman+1 (whoever that may be) is still top 3 in the nfl that can't be denied.

and morton is a horrible wr coach. horrible so id much rather have the guy responsible for polishing odb jr and landry than his weak ass...

and tarver has been a coveted dc and a candidate for head coach and he's coaching the linebackers here!

we can shit on mangini but the raiders interviewed him for their head coaching position

and nobody we passed on is a head coach ANYWHERE else are they?

not gase not vic right?

let em :boring:

Bush leading the drill

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/5snhq0"></iframe>

Torrey Smith and our sleeper Dres Anderson from Utah check his numbers out and how he looks on film when you get a chance.. He along with Smelter and Torrey will make a fucking HUGE and fast wr corp.. we took a chance on Jerome Simpson.. all accounts he still has his speed so we'll see.

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/2dbujy"></iframe>

Wr's again.

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/mueqiz"></iframe>

PRACTICING CHECK DOWN PASSING SOMETHING WE NEVER DID UNDER JIM! HALLELUJAH!

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/h5nz4c"></iframe>

By all accounts Hunter is 100% healthy. Hyde is taking it easy and Bush is healthy. Hayne looks OK and Davis looks good so far

its just simple stuff so take it with a grain of salt with looking good...but HEALTHY is important.

Aldon goes 2nd... tell me he's not going to be a beast this season?

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/59s8d6"></iframe>

Also

Tempo.

That's what Jim Tomsula wanted to see on Thursday, and that's exactly what the San Francisco 49ers gave him during the first open Organized Team Activity of his coaching tenure.

"You have to think in a fast-paced environment," the coach said following the workout. "Then defensively, it helps you in the critical times in games - two-minute stuff. It's everything having to operate at a fast pace."

Keith Reaser- a part of the ACL squad that we drafted is back at FULL strength and is looking good. Chris Cook is back healthy, remember he was really coming on and doing well before he got injured last year

Im liking the idea of Reaser and his 4.3 speed and Johnson with his big frame out there with brock and Ward and Tartt

and then the safeties cleaning things up behind them

this defense is going to surprise a LOT of people we'll actually have a bad ass rotation on defensive line this year

Tank-Dial-Dorsey-Williams-Dockett- shuffling in and out

aldon keeping one side on lock with brooks and lynch keeping the other on lock and harold to spell those...

Anthony Davis our starting RT
Just announced his retirement from the NFL...

Ummmm ok.....

Was never a big fan of his, but damn :smh::smh:

if he didn't wanna play. better to have him do that now than in the season and really screw us over.

boone can go over to tackle where he's way fucking better than at guard

and thomas, kilgore, martin have to step up...

well im not worried about kilgore he was rock solid at center.

martin improves and thomas lives up to his billing that's what we roll with.

just wish he would've done this before the draft. but also he is seeming like its concussion related. he did get a concussion in that giants came and took forever to come back

looks like he wants to sit out a year.

Boone kicks out to RT. Looney at RG. That's my early assessment. OTA's and camp will be interesting.

Possibly. I forgot all about Looney. But Martin was HUNGRY this off season. he slimmed down he's in great shape.

Thomas is fully healthy. if he was last year he'd been a 1st round pick.

And most importantly we're going to the zone blocking system which means we need athletic guys.

Adavis was athletic on the outside but Boone is athletic as fuck TOO. and we all agreed before the news that boone is a way better tackle than guard.. now he will be a tackle and we can have a really good camp competition for the guard spots.

Outsides are set. Center is set.

Thomas/Martin/Looney fighting for the guard spots

Don't sleep on Trent Brown.. that big motherfucker might make some noise for us.

Best of all, the Zone blocking system fits what our running backs do best.

Hyde and Hunter both came from zbs schools

they both hit the holes fast and hard ... make the cut and get up the field.

no more long pulling and no more being patient hoping the blocks stick. I think this is going to do wonders for the offense.

Man between all the injuries to the Cavs and sll the injuries and retirements of the 9ers, nothing surprises me no more..

They traded my boy Andy Lee. I need a drink.

Man this draft was basically about future depth & replacing players who are getting paid too much
Most of the players we drafted are either projects or redshirt guys who probably wont even help us this year
:smh::smh::smh:

They drafted a damn punter b/c Andy Lee is making too much money
Andy Lee's cap #s $2.5M this year, $3.3M next year with dead money $1M thisyear and $500K next year . Cap savings $1.5M this year $2.8M next year.
http://overthecap.com/player/andy-lee/54/

I told ya'll before...
This draft was more about replacing players that are getting paid too much, than trying to get back to the Superbowl RIGHT NOW
Look at the positions we drafted...

1. Punter... Andy Lee was making a bunch of money...even though he was a probowler
2. Outside LB.... Ahmad Brooks is making a bunch of money & was fighting with coach Tomsula
3. TE.... Vernon Davis is making a bunch of money & he's coming up for a possible contract renewal
4. Strong Safety... Antone Bethea is making a bunch of money
5. WR... Anquan Boldin is making a bunch of money
6. RB... Backup plan in case Kendall Hunter or Reggie Bush get hurt in the preseason again
7. D-line... Future starter for either Justin Smith or Darnell Dockett

I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad thing
Some moves will work out & some will not
It is what it is fam

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

You continue to emphasize tempo in these practices. Is that going to be kind of an identity of this offense or is this just something that you're emphasizing now for when games slow down you guys will be better prepared?

"There's no secret to it. We want to be able to move in the game offensively, you're on offense, you're on the offensive. You want to be able to do it on your terms. So, if we want to go faster, we want to be able to go faster. If we want to slow it down, we want to be able to slow it down. Right now, we're more or less working the operation of it and giving different, 22 seconds we started at, now we want to go to 26, let's get on the ball. I want to push it, I'll say 30. We're just trying to change just that idea of how we're moving and operating from the thought of the play call, through that operation, to the quarterback's ear, to the huddle. So, we're trying to do that and we want to be able to. I think that's all offenses, you want to be able to move at the speed in which you want to move for that particular time in the game or that situation and if we see a defense that's struggling getting people on the field, can we speed up? That's simply what we're working on."

we actually have a fucking wide receiver coach guys. FINALLY

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/j35bin"></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" frameborder="0" id="tout_embed" src="//www.tout.com/embed/touts/qx744x"></iframe>

i can guarantee you that we didn't concentrate on this type of shit from the wr position over the past 4 years. every wr we had stayed exactly the same as when they got here. none developed none got better.

People keeps saying how great of a coach Harbo was, but other than a great motivator, the type players would risk they careers to play hard for (maybe that's why we have sobmany , broken up players, both mentally and physically). Buts its amazing seeing all the basic shit, like we coach and faster ball snaps, that he refused to even consider..

One more week til the preseason starts..how is the 9ers looking,so far at training camp.

the team is excited. the team is rejuvenated. the team might actually use all of the players it has. the rest of the nfl world is going to be surprised just how much we didn't do under harbaugh by how much we do under the new regime.. little things like screen passes, getting the play called on time so you don't have to call a timeout 2 times a game.. blitzing on defense..

how the broncos looking?

Man.....I don't wish this offseason on even my worst enemies. Keep y'all head up 49ers fans.....its about to be a long road ahead.
