49ers

I was wondering, what are our plans to revamp our offensive line? Because if there is one commonality the winning playoff teams had, was great pass protection, and no matter how good our wrs may or maynot be, they are vitually useless if they don't have the proper time to run their routes.

Solari is a shit offensive line coach. the talent is there the technique was not. that's easily fixed. getting the talent is the hard part, we have that. just not properly coached like a lot of other positions. solely focused on run blocking and not pass blocking

Been hearing a lot of this, and this is why I get on Habs case so much, cause if we had so many coaches doing such shitty, isn't the head coach job, if not his main job, to get the right people in the right position to get the job done. if so Habs has made plenty of bad decisions with no corrections..

Correct.
Kept roman
Kept Morton who developed no wr's every wr is what he is.
rathman was a good rb coach.
chryst was a horrible qb coach.

telling you just watch what a coaching staff does with this offense.

Gase must did a horrible job interviewing or made a bad impression, because everybody had him going to the 49ers....

If that's the case, then I don't see why Elway would hire him, after having a horrible job interviewing...on top of that Elway said it from his mouth yesterday that he wants a coach that's a winner and that's not the case with Gase..

you never can tell man.

He knows this team
they respond to him
the only thing we need to know is what he wants to do with this team.
then we can decide on whether or not it's a great hire

Man, I just turned on ESPN and saw the news
I think I'm going to be sick to my stomach
This feels like the Mike Singletary hire all over again
Reporter Matt Maiocco was saying for at least a month that Jim Tomsula was the guy... but I just did not want to believe that

LargeBills... I already know about Tomsula
I already know most of the players like him & I already know he used to be a coach overseas
I already seen clips & stuff of him talking to the D-linemen, etc, etc
I don't need to see anymore
Tomsula comes across as just a rah rah motivator type of guy, like Singletary & Harbaugh
But how well can he manage a game?
How well can he make in game adjustments?
Is he a brilliant mind like Pete Carroll, or Sean Payton, or Belichick?

On top of all of these unknown questions....
WTF is going to happen to our coaching staff now ???
I know Vic Fangio will be pissed that he got leapfrogged
We probably will lose Fangio if not this year but next year, when his contract is officially up
Out of all the damn defensive minded coach out there... we went with Jim Tomsula instead ???
Are you fuckin serious ???
We could have had the Arizona DC, Todd Bowles, dude is a damn genious
Or hell they could have picked Rex Ryan, if they wanted a defensive mind

Like I said before Harbaugh was a decent coach, not great, but pretty good
He had a lot of flaws (mainly his loyalty to Roman)
I felt like there was room for improvement IF we hired the right guy
I felt that the best scenario was to
1) Promote Fangio to Head Coach & Ed Donatell to DC & keep the defensive staff intact
OR
2) Bring in someone like the Shannahans & have them just worry about the offense, while again keeping the defensive staff intact

I just don't know man, I just don't know
This shit right here has disaster written all over it
Seems like they are just looking for a "yes man"
Are York & Baalke trolling us?

:sick::sick::sick:

People aren't giving him the credit he deserves Curt. He has had this dline excellent whether the team was good or bad. that's why jim kept him in the first place.

Everybody on both sides of the ball loves him so they will go to war with him. No feeling out process or trying to see if they even like the new guy they know they do.

Now we need to see what happens with the assistants and we need to see what happens with who he chooses to run the defense and offense.

Fangio and them weren't going to stay on the defensive side if bowles or ryan or any of them came in.. only coach he said he'd stay for is mike shanahan but then what about in 2 years when mike wants to retire we give the team to his son? NO

Vic didn't get 1 interview for a head coaching position anywhere else. Not 1. let that sink in with you for a minute. We denied him interviews for the DC position only, not head coaching opportunities. Why didn't anyone want him as their head coach?
If that's the case him and Tomsula are the same...

If he picks his staff the right way there's no reason we can't be great under him. None.

I see we got Jim Tomsula has our new coach!!..this might work..it's good that they hire a coach that's within the staff and now, Jim Tomsula has to do is to find a OC that will have a balance offense and go back to the power running game!!..:yes:..i would like see kaep in a west coast offense!!..i think that would fit him!!..:yes:

let's go 49ers!!

I like Tomsula, but unless Baalke/York open up the cash register this team is Easily 6-10... If they go after Lynch or Peterson, I'll believe these dudes are serious... Carlos Hyde and his 4.6 40 are not the answer.

With the talent we didn't have against healthy teams we went 8-8
with all the talent at our disposal we will be right back to the top like we left something.
we target the guys you want us to target they end up getting more money we can't afford to give.
desean didn't even make it to us. revis got an insane amount of money
gordon got suspended and missed the whole year basically.
we'll see what they do this time around

props.
so far with the coaching staff he's assembled so far im encouraged.
just remember, when vic fangio came to the 49ers he had several stints as a dc and was unsuccessful which is why he was in college with jim in the 1st place.

let's wait and see.

we haven't said who the d.c. will be. but we're switching to the 4-3 so we can keep borland willis and bowman on the field at the same time.. which is a nightmare for other teams. it also makes aldon and lynch de's which they were coming out of college already and it eliminates the need for a big nose tackle

the word on the street is we're going to get scwhwartz. i hope that's true.

does this dude have pictures of mostly every football person in "compromising" positions or what

he just keeps getting chance after chance

Man looking at the 'Hawk/Packers game, got me wondering what Habs/Roman would have called... I know for a fact there would be no fake fg, I bet you they would have kicked off thinking their superduper defense would shut them down with two mins left in the game, and no way in hell they would have thrown two deep balls in a row, in overtime, for the win..

nope
nor would they have kept running with gore either.

The thing that gets me upset about them the most is that Habs for the most part did such a wonderful job turning this club around, with the list of good accomplishments very long.
Matter of fact he took care of the hard part of coaching and all was missing was the little cherry on the top.. But we were never able to get that illusive cherry due to his arrogance and stubbornness..
If that boy had an once of humility in his bones and was capable of thinking, 'hey perhaps my way isn't the best way, after all', we would have had at least one S.B. win by now..
But instead,gf3 he is hell bent on doing it his way, even if it means doing the same dumb shit, over and over again..
On top of that we have the worst luck under Habs, but after watching the 'Hawks approach to the game, its plain to see that good fortune isn't going to just walk up to you, sometimes you have to grab it by the horns and carral it in.. The Hawks are so fortuitous at times because they push the issue by going out there and pursuing breaks, while we on the other hand seem to play tight at times while attempting to always play, error free ball this often resulting in us being less proactive and more sitting back waiting for the wheels to fall off, and usually it does..
Next year I only want to hear only one slogan, that's H2, staying healthy, using our heads, along with hard work and hustle..

Oh I almost forgot another Harbs/Roman/Acme corp master mind, no fail play, that never works...
How about the famous wr, double reverse, that we always seem to run when the game is close and we start marching up the field for
that late winning or tying score..
It always seem to set us back at least for 8 yards, usually followed by or delay of game play, followed by the, " you guessed it" dreaded holding play, making it third and abou third and around 35 yards to go....
Man, if I had a nickle for everyone of those type games....:smh:

Jim would not fire Roman. How excited would you be going into this season with Roman as the O.C.?

Tomsula knows this team and they love him Curt.

Now let's see who they get to be the coordinators

If you look at the top teams in the playoffs, you notice they have one things in common, great qb's and the best offensive lines... Notice the 'Hawks, Broncos, the Packers and the Colts don't have that superstar wr (they have system guys that can be interchanged) but they do give them enough time to run the proper routs with offensive lines that can do both run black as well as pass protect..
We have a good run block line, at times but we absolutely suck at pass protection, sure it may be poor coaching/technique but I think entering the draft we need to really work on the O-line and our lack of talent there is even more important than grabbing a star wr or working on the defense...
