49ers

Thanks for an unbelievable season NaVarro Bowman.
Dude played his heart out all season for this team.
Thoughts & prayers goes out to him.
Get well soon champ.
:(:(:(

Faggot ass Seahawks fans throwing food at him while he was being carted off the field.
:smh::smh::smh:

How is Carlos Rogers still on the team???? How many times did he need to get smoked for him to go back to the bench where he belongs.

We lost a game we should have won. Turnovers and penalties hurt us. Even so, we went out fighting.

Gentlemen, it's been an honor and a pleasure this season. Looking forward to the offseason talks.

Ansatsusha, the Seahawks play man and cover 3. THATS IT. As long as Payton gets time to throw he will pick that shit apart. Trust me. You know how smart Payton is. He's going to see what's coming from a mile away. Get it done playa. We're rooting for ya.

Lastly, Navarro BowMAN... I wish I could meet that cat just to shake his hand.

WR Anquan Boldin- resign if the price is right
CB Tarell Brown- if the price is right
CB Perrish Cox- he can go
K Phil Dawson-resign
RB Anthony Dixon-gone
C Jonathan Goodwin-gone
WR Mario Manningham-gone
QB Colt McCoy-gone
WR Kassim Osgood-resign
S Donte Whitner- resign if the price is right
CB Eric Wright- resign if the price is right.

boldin if its not too much get him back.

brown if he doesn't want the bank.. if someone else offers it to him good luck in the future

cox isn't going to be a starter he didn't start now and culliver is coming back.

Dawson should be easy to sign

Dixon is cut...he don't do shit and lattimore is coming in.

Goodwin is gone- we need a young center.

manningham didn't even play he's gone patton took his spot and we're drafting a speed guy. so even if we don't have boldin we'll still have too much talent to keep him so good luck to him

Colt is gone, going to draft someone in the late round.

Resign osgood great special teams player

whitner should be resigned don't know if his asking price will be high. if someone is going to overpay then we just draft someone else.

eric wright got in the dog house there is no demand for him so he should be cheap.

we aren't losing any significant talent even if everyone on that list goes. we can replace them.

they're suggesting moving kap to wr.

most of our fans
don't deserve to be fans

I gotta say, a lot of 49er fans go negative very fast. One of my good friends is in this category. Something bad happens and they start speaking foolishness.

That's why it's been great talking with you fellas. You speak the truth and analyze the game/players.

Kaep had a bad 2nd half of football (3 turnovers). Yet was still a tipped pass from going to the Super Bowl. For a third year QB, under his 1st full season as a starter, that's pretty damn good.

he only had a bad quarter really.

he accounted for 86% of our offense.

the running backs kick and punt returners combined accounted for 43 yards of offense.

if it weren't for kap we wouldn't have been in the game he did this on his own.

all by his damn self set us up for those 2 touchdowns. and was driving us down the field for the game winning one.

people are letting the defense off the hook.

they played great
and fucked up.

you don't give up a td on 4th down... you just don't.

that's the ball game right there

gore broke his hand in the 1st quarter yesterday....

Staley fractured his finger...

We suffer way to many injuries playing there. Bad enough we have to fight the refs.

LargeBills, I agree with what you said about Kap (bad quarter, accounted for 86% of our offense). Dude balled out. He had just a few bad plays really. It's a shame how certain fans can't look past that and begin to speak negatively.

Can someone shed any light on Mangini's true role in SF?

his role was to analyze what the defense was going to do give it to roman so he could game plan for it.

i don't blame mangini in any of this.

roman was the same before and now that he is with the 49ers

that means that roman isn't listening to anyone but himself.

and jim needs to do something about it.

1_zps7ba2a535.gif

look at this play.

this is roman being a fucking idiot.

now

everyone will say 3 things

1 don't throw it to crab (i disagree and you'll see why)

2 boldin was coming open over the middle. no he wasn't there was a safety there waiting it would have been just as difficult a throw the safety leaves because the ball is in the air.

3 patton is open.. yes he is there are 2 defenders right there waiting to come up and tackle him

NOW

this is why this was the only throw.

look at the gif CAREFULLY

the theme of the night was ANTHONY DAVIS GETTING HIS ASS BEAT ON EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PLAY.

look at the gif closely now look at kap the entire time.

he literally snapped the ball got it and let the ball go.

and guess what? he was about to be SACKED right as the ball was released.

he looks to anyone else
and he is sacked and probably fumbles and everyone is saying "you can't take a sack in that situation"

look at it

Patton is alone with 10 yards in front of him. It does look like Vernon is about to come open on a route towards the sideline, but there is a corner sitting on that route. Additionally, the potential is there to move that safety over and hit Boldin in the seam. Kaepernick's arm is strong enough, but Davis getting beat as badly as he did wouldn't have given him enough time.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter because Kaepernick said he was going to Crabtree regardless. I still think it's a bad choice because of the advantage that Sherman has over Crabtree. He's taller and more athletic than Crabtree on top of being the best corner in the league. It was a poor decision and a poor throw into perfect coverage.

the play call was the worst aspect of this entire sequence.

the entire playbook is open. it was 1st down there was no need to try to call up a play to go for it all.

entire playbook and 2 timeouts to work with. this is when you earn your money as a coordinator.

this is 2 times now roman has shit in the bed when we needed him most.

all the times we actually came through have been as a result of kap making the play, not the design or drawn up aspect of it.

i can't believe how bad davis got beat right at the snap like the game wasn't on the line

If SOI was hired as GM...

Carlos Rogers- you were really great, in 2011... Please shut the door on your way out, thanks. You've been a liability all year and were a huge reason why we lost to Sea

Donte Whitner- This was probably your best season with us... If you take this veteran contract you will make some more money with these here incentives. This is most we can offer you at this time.

Jonathan Goodwin- Have a seat Jon. As you know you get absolutely NO push up the middle on run plays, a huge part of our game planning. We feel that it is best to move in a different direction.

Anthony Davis- We originally drafted you for your amazing upside... run blocking has been decent, but the reason why youre in here is because you have turned into Kwame Harris 2.0... not a good thing. You are a turnstyle out there son! We have decided to convert you into Right guard and current right guard Alex Boone will assume his natural position as a tackle.

Mr. Boldin- thanks for attending this meeting sir. As a unrestricted FA we want to pay you a $2.5m base with all kinds of escalators built in. We wish to pay you more but we're strapped here. You are a true leader of this team.

Mario Manningham- Hey Rio, set those crutches over there son. Last season you took a pay cut to stay with us and we thankyou. This season we feel it best if you depart and go our separate ways. Adios Rios.

Mr. Gore- thanks for joining us today. You have been the greatest 49er of this generation.A true pros pro. A model teammate and steward of what every NFL player should strive for... With that said we have decided that its in the 49ers best interest to lighten your load this upcoming season. We know how prideful you are but you arent the same player you were. Hand me that kleenex box Frank, thanks

Colin Kaepernick- Now that we can finally discuss your contract situation I want to show you a cutup of these last few seasons... As you can see you make as many plays as you can but we need you to progress as a passer quite a bit more. We feel that giving you a contract that while is not top 5 money but is still top 10 money at $16m per year with $49m guaranteed is very competitive for what we are trying to build here. By taking this contract you allow us to remain a very competitive team moving forward, thanks.

Greg Roman- Hey Coach, normally Coach Harbaugh has say in his coaching staffs comings and goings but I have decided to take this matter into my own hands. As you know our offense while dynamic at times just doesnt have enough "pop" in it and imagination. If we wanted a Jimmy Raye offense we would dig Raye up! We feel that your passing concepts and play callings have been "limited" to say the least. We have a 2nd Round 6"5' TE who never was used properly, our speedster dynamic RB out of Oregon only returns kicks and rarely sees the field. Our redzone offense has been in the bottom half of the league consistently in your tenure. This coupled with the most exciting QB in the NFL who is not growing as much as we have hoped under your archaic system. We have decided to Fire your ass.

LOL @ saying the play call was the worst aspect...
No the playcalling was fine THAT TIME.... it was Kaps decision & the throw that was the worst aspect of that entire sequence.

Kap said in the post game interview point blank...
He said he saw 1-on-1 coverage with Crabtree pre-snap.
He also said he did not realize the CB covering Crabs was Sherman.
IF A TORNADO CAME BY & BLEW THE OTHER SEAHAWKS DEFENDERS AWAY.... IT STILL WOULD NOT HAVE MATTERED!
Kap had tunnel vision & focused on Crabtree & only Crabtree from the time he first walked up to the line.

When you look at the play, you see Patton take only 1 step then stop & wait for the ball. When the ball was snapped the nearest defender to Patton immediately runs to the endzone to double (I think that was Vernon). If Kap threw Patton the ball, he could have gotten a good 5-10 yards (at least 5 yards for sure). Pressure was coming from the right, Anthony Davis' side...but look at the left side. Nothing but open field to run! Staley was already blocking his man. Kap could have took off & got at least 5 yards.

^^^ THIS !!!

Check the game highlights @ the 2:15 mark
Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions?
Tell me what you see, cause I see Manningham wide open on that route... no one at all was defending him!

(if the video doesn't work try mozilla firefox)

:smh::smh::smh:

He didn't even look, Yo' was wide open underneath & would have easily scored!!!

I remember pointing this play out to Killa
Notice this play in the Saints game is VERY VERY SIMILAR to the last play of our playoff game
Kap forcing the ball into double coverage but yet there was a WR, WIDE DA FUCK OPEN on the other side of the field!
This has been an issue all season long with Kap.
Bottom line is he's young so he will learn & improve.... but don't try & blame playcalling for that play.
Greg Roman ain't the one throwing picks & fumbling & missing wide open WR's.

Kap needs to lock himself in the filmroom all offseason & come back ballin next year!

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

stop it

look at the play.

on that play no matter what patton is the 5th read.
he is always the 5th read whether kap was going to go through a progression or not.

and look at that play.

what did anthony davis do?

he got his ass beat off the line of scrimmage.

kap snapped it stood there then threw it to crabtree
and he barely avoided getting sacked doing that

now explain to the class how he would have had time to look at anyone else?

you also fail when you try to point out patton is wide open when the corner before the snap was showing press coverage.
and didn't move back until he snapped the ball.

so

you want him to see press coverage on the outside between crab and patton

and decide that his 5th option on the play
changes to his 1st?

yall can watch the gif for yourselves.

look at it.

then stop.

the tape supports everything i say.

that was the correct read and he made it JUST in time.

now the play call was HORRIBLE

its 1st down we have 2 timeouts we don't have to take a shot right there. we could run a wr screen we can work the middle of the field we can do anything

but

we didn't

so you can lol all you want to

but this is the 2nd year in a row the motherfucker can't call a play to get us a touchdown when we need it.

field goal range? no problem....

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

fuck out of here.

greg roman is the one fucking up the game

if the line protects
how bout kap doesn't fumble? he's already trying to extend the play while wr's AREN'T GETTING OPEN

how bout if kap doesn't carry the entire team on his back we're not even in the game.

what did gore give us?
what did roman do to get gore going
what did the line do to protect kap?
what did the wr's do to help him out?

stop parroting that bullshit about progressions and reads.
if nobody is open nobody is open.

and on the final play patton is WIDE open but the 5TH READ on the play.

there is crab then hunter then vd then boldin then patton. patton is the check down.

he didn't even have the time to make more than 1 read courtesy of anthony davis

its incredibly dishonest to come up with some bs about what he could have easily done.. oh yea off the snap the tackle gets beat to the inside he could have just easily spun and escaped and then threw it to patton

easily right?

lol

if he tosses that to the back of the end zone everybody is praising him as a god.

jim said it was the correct read
we can look at it all we want to its the truth.

crab was 1 on 1.

he wasn't double covered. the guy came over after the ball was in the air.

boldin was not open the safety was over the top did not move until the ball was in the air

vd was not open ran an out they were squatting on.
hunter was not open the lb came right in front of the throwing lane when hunter flashed

patton is wide open and the 5th read on a play where he had 2 seconds to get rid of the ball or people are saying "you can't take a sack you have to feel the pressure"

you mean the immediate pressure from the snap?

every play kap mad was because of his ability to extend plays and find people

you point me to a play that roman called that got the wr open without it being a scramble drill

you point me to a time the line gave him some decent protection where he could just stand there?

you show me where the running backs gave him any type of support?

if he had some help we'd be in the super bowl.

The play was designed to take a shot if it was there. It wasn't there, but Kaepernick took a shot anyways. I didn't realize that he said he didn't know that Sherman was covering Crabtree and that makes me nervous. Coverage and personnel dictate reads. The primary receiver changes based on what the defense is doing. Seeing Sherman on Crabtree should have had Kaepernick looking at the other side of the field at the snap.

In nickel situations, Seattle typically plays Cover 3 to protect against the deep pass. With Boldin, Crabtree, Patton on the field, Kaepernick should have known this. With Boldin and Crabtree designed to run downfield, they were not options as the coverage had taken them away. That leaves Vernon and Patton. But since you know that they are in Cover 3, you should also know that there will be a corner sitting on Vernon's route, leaving Patton by himself.

It was just a really bad read.

So you know better than what Jim said and Steve Young right?

Who is covering doesn't matter. that's not how you approach reading coverages. you approach it with the match up.
and kap believes crabtree 1 on 1 is the right match up to go to every time.

pre snap dictated that this was the match up. patton corner was in press until snap.

after snap crab is still 1 on 1 hunter is not an option boldin is covered over the top vd route is squatted on patton is the check down if all else fails.

now let's look at the play purely hypothetical.
if after the snap the safety rolled coverage to crab i believe kap would have come off of that read and then who knows what will happen.

kap is saying he was going to him no matter what. that is just what he's saying. he wouldn't have thrown to him if there was safety help. the entire play hinges on 1 on 1 match up and he got it.

patton as i keep saying is the 5th option by design and before the snap the corner showed press coverage. showing press coverage and then knowing the route patton is running is a check down route you don't change that route to your 1st read when you have 1 on 1 coverage. no matter how many times people try to twist it. nobody not 1 qb in the nfl is changing their read to patton before the snap with the look that they gave.

NOW

the actual play.

if he looks and doesn't like the match up after the snap.
he gets sacked.
that's not up for debate. he gets sacked and we burn a timeout and lose 6 yards.

one of the worst play call ever!!...:angry::smh::smh:..i'm still upset about this play call!!...:smh::smh:

no more negativity in this thread.

any claims need to be backed up with visual evidence including from myself about plays and can and cannot

the future and present is brighter than any team in the nfl.

let's focus on all of the positive

we went without major components for the whole season
gruesome injures all season

and came within a play of going to the super bowl...

we went 12 and 4 in the regular season with that tough schedule with everything going wrong.

we had to go to lambeau then carolina then seattle.

we will hoist up that trophy next season

kap has ALREADY begun working with qb coaches on everything mental and physical
already..

he started working monday after the game.
and told patton sunday night on the flight home they were going to train together.

this team has resolve

everyone is going to fight back
and get it done.

All I know is that we need to get more athletic and faster on offense, especially... I am sick and tired of hearing V.D. and Kaep are two of the fastest guys on the team...
We need a real WR's one with break away speed, and is able to keep the defense honest..
Also I am sick and tired of people praising our OL, calling it one of the best in the NFL, meanwhile we can't pick up the those short yarded plays especially in the red zone, plus, as posted, their pass protection is more Kaep moving the pocket, and throwing quick..
I think between having to rush plays, and lacking WR's with breakaway speed, its amazing that Kaep doesn't throw more interceptions..
We also going to need a coverage safety, Eric Reid is terrific but plays better SS matched with a real cover guys, like he played in college, and sorry but Whittner is another hitter not a pure cover safety.. We all are quick to blame Kaep for the loss, but it was that 3 and I believe 28 that not only led to a first but also a touch down after Wilson threw that shit right down the middle of the field with very little help from the safty that lost it for us!!!
I've seen this happen time after time this season and last to realize that we need help with our deep coverage..
I say we draft a WR in the first (or try trading for one), get a F.S. in the 2nd as well as a OL help... In the third we need to target players who can play in our nickle package (linebacker, SS hybrid type) and from there we need players who can help on special teams, players with a explosive speed and smaller quicker footed OL guys who specialize in pass protection.....
From there I expect a healthy Lattimore and Tank to step up, I expect big things from them.. Also I still am holding out hopes for Lawrence Okoye to be properly groomed and trained to being the perfect fullback, especially in goal line situations.. I don't even know if he is still with the club, but if he is, one year is more than enough time to train him for the position...
