49ers

Crabtree is pissed because Kaepernick keeps on missing him
Crabs has been wide open multiple times this game

keeps on?

not keeps on. he over threw him on that pass.

the rest of them have been right on the money to crab for big plays.

they'll get it worked out. the connection is coming back there's no excuse for that. ALSO crab not being 100% affected that throw and is affecting his play.

100% that's a td to crab. don't worry

the only thing we have to worry about is Roman.
and Vic

if they keep it the gas on then no team can see us PERIOD

LargeBills is losing his mind right now. Roman getting cute in the red zone again.

yup

instead of just running with power to gore 2 times setting up a close 3rd and goal

and we could do literally ANYTHING at that point.

we're getting there.

still haven't played a complete game and put up 30

Reid with another INT the defense wanted him to score the td but he was just happy to get down and end the game lmao

that was a cool moment

^You see on the next play they ran Gore for 5 yards. I mean, how hard is it to call a freaking power run in the red zone on a consistent basis.

That was funny.. Everyone took off. They formed a convoy. He would have scored easily. I like the rookies thinking though. Secure the win!

Back to Crabtree... He was getting open. On a few plays he wasn't the #1 option though.

On the play where Kap scrambled and hit him on the sideline he was the #1 but the line did not block at all. Kap had to run for his life.

Crabtree needs to hold his head. Can't get upset at every pass. Just look to make plays.

only thing i have a problem with is tossing the ball
cannot do that
i like the attitude of wanting it though
stay hungry
he'll get you man.

Exactly.. I said it at the time. He's gotta hold his head. They came right back to him on the next play. He is going to get his number called a lot. Dude just needs to hold his head and ball.

Looks like Crabtree is off to get X-rays on his left hand

We need to rest most of our starters the last game against Arizona
:(:(:(

edit: Also Bruce Miller had has arm in a sling after the game.
:(:(:(

When Dorsey went down on the 1st freaking play I just shook my head thinking, "here we go". Luckily he came back and didn't show any signs.

You saw Crabtree constantly flexing his hand. Miller walked off favoring his left arm (he took a shot). Hopefully nothing is serious.

Gore's ankle got rolled up. He was already dealing with an ankle.

We need Arizona to lose this week & get eliminated from the playoffs.
That way we can rest our starters the last game.
Also, I'd rather have that #5 seed, instead of the 6th seed.
Playing the Lions/Bears, then Saints, and then Seahawks sounds good to me.

Agree with you on all points. If we get the #5 seed you never know. If the chips fall right we could host the NFC Champoinship game. I know, I know, that's a lot of chips, but it's possible.

Miller's arm was too swollen to get x-ray'd at the stadium. Hopefully it's just very swollen from the shot he took.

If the playoffs started today the overrated 49ers (wild card) would face the Bears (4th seed) in Rd1. Which means the Bears would advance to Rd2.

My oh My! Why cant the playoffs start today!

BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You dudes would be damn near last in our division.

Your defense is shitty
and your offense can't score on us.

Do we need to remind you what happened last time?

I know we're doing great now and you're scared cause this thread been here all year and you found your way here now

Ignore the troll fellas.

We're going to win our next 2 games.

Saints & Panthers play next week. One of them will lose then have 5 losses and push them down to the #6 seed.

Reid is wise

Eric Reid had an opportunity to score his first NFL touchdown. The rookie, however, passed it up.

Smart play?

Yes.

The 49ers were up 33-14 on the road in Tampa Bay and Reid picked off Mike Glennon with less than three minutes in the game. The rookie free safety had a convoy of blockers if he wanted to waltz into the end zone from 22 yards out, but the cerebral player wisely went to the ground.

There was no need to run up the score, according to defensive captain Patrick Willis.

“We always work on game situations, end of the half, end of the game,” the seventh-year linebacker said after the game. “Coach (Vic Fangio) always talks about be smart with the ball. Give the situation in our game he could’ve taken a chance, but Eric being the football mind that he is, I guess he was thinking get down and don’t do anything crazy.

“It was good to get that turnover at the end and seal the game.”

Reid shared his take on the play to CSNBayArea.com.

“We’re going into the end of the year, and we wanted to preserve our bodies and let’s go home,” Reid said. “We practice two-minute on Thursdays, so you know those situations in the game. We know they’re trying to score and we’re trying to keep them out of the end zone. So if we get the turnover, just go ahead and get down.

“I looked up and saw nothing but white jerseys, you kind of think about it. But at the end of the day, I think I made the right decision.”

Reid tied Tramaine Brock for the team lead with four interceptions. Reid is also tied with Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso for the NFL rookie lead.

Defensive Rookie of the Year mentions are not on the mind of Reid who told 49ers.com last week, “It’s a compliment to win that, but I’m just focused on helping this team win games. I’m sure winning a Super Bowl would be a lot better than winning Defensive Rookie of the Year."

Eric Reid
64 tackles
10 passes defended
4 interceptions
2 fumble recoveries.

That's a pro bowler

The stats don't even begin to tell the full story of the impact he's had on the field. He's having a great year.

I listened to the post game radio interview (props on the link CurtDawg). They asked him about the INT and he immediately said, "I saw the white jerseys but it was the right thing to do."

Gotta love that. The young man isn't looking for personal glory, he's securing the team win.

I feel you homie. That was my hey-day also. With the convoy he had, no chance of being hit and scoring easily, I would have taken it to the house also. High stepping the whole way.

And now for todays "SHIT" news... "Jim Harbaugh said FB Bruce Miller has an injury "that doesn't look good" to his scapula (shoulder blade). 49ers likely to add Owen Marecic." :smh:

Looks like we'll be seeing plenty Boobie Dixon..

49ers fullback Bruce Miller likely done for the season
Bruce Miller has a broken scapula (left shoulder blade)

Man some of y'all just don't know, this is HUGE news for us.
Miller is versatile & a big part of our offense (running & passing game).
I remember when Miller got hurt the last few games of 2011... Frank Gore couldn't do shit!
He's is a very good lead blocker for Gore & he catches passes out the backfield.
Dude has like 250 yards (more than Kyle Williams, Jon Baldwin & Marlon Moore).
He also helps on special teams too.

We can't really run one back sets too often b/c Frank is too slow & not explosive enough.
Frank needs a lead blocker to open those holes up the middle.
I guess this means more 2 TE sets with Vance McDonald.
And also more Anthony Dixon :puke:

it's not big for us.

it's a blessing.

we'll get a lead fb gore only needs a little space. getting iupati back is more important cause he opens holes.

also it will force him to use macdonald and hunter and james as receiving options which he should have done for the longest time

sucks that he's gone however the offense will become more dynamic because of it.

don't fret.

you'll see

Losing Miller hurts. The question is can Vance McDonald, Anthony Dixon or Owen Marecic step up and handle his blocking assignments. That remains to be seen.

The possibilities in the passing game are endless though. Monday night I'll be watching closely how he uses these guys. The possibility of having Gore, Hunter or James in the backfield together and running patterns is very interesting.

it only hurts with potentially blocking. POSSIBLY

gore just needs a lead guy to go make contact.

miller was overused in the passing game. so it's not him being out means that we lose a vital cog in the passing game

it means we can finally fucking use the people we should have been this entire time
