Juice is pretty good, but they don't even use him that much
Damn that salary is kind of high
5 million a year for a fullback
Even though that's what he got paid for his last contract
But he's going to be 30 yrs old next month
Side Note: With them trying to re-sign Juice, Verrett, and Bourne

Trent's negotiations was what was holding up everyone else
He's going to hit the open market & the niners are going to get outbid
The Colts will probably pay him more money

I was thinking the contract was bit high myself. Williams (Trent and K'Wuan) and Verrett are more of a priority than Juice IMO.
I know we are a running team so the position is important to the run, but with us up against he cap it's a bit much.

I don't get all the FB love either. The football analytic types swear by him though.
I'm still hopeful for Trent Williams coming back. Eric Fisher getting cut by the Chiefs might give the Colts someone else to go after.

Looks like we poached that dude Ebukam from the Rams, to play Ford's role
Plus he's a lot cheaper than a guy like Carl Lawson
So now we don't have to reach for a pass rusher high up in the draft
2. Re-signed Emanuel Mosley & Jason Verrett
Again, so we don't have to reach for a CB in the 1st round of the draft
Kwon Williams might go to the Jets
But we can probably get a solid nickel CB in rounds 3-4

The first 2 years of the contract is only like $2 million each
Then it balloons up to like $7 million for each of his last 3 years
But get this, after year #3.....there is NO guaranteed money at all
So.....humm yeah.....he's getting cut after year #3
Maybe even after year #2, then the team will just swallow a few mill of dead money
4. Now we just need to work on the O-line
Maybe sign Alex Mack from the Falcons
He's old as dirt, but he does know Shannys offense
Maybe do a 2 year deal, or something like that
If Trent Willams walks, then I guess we'll have to go with Brunskill at LT

Bourne is gone but we still have Richie James (who's better in the slot than outside) and Jalen Hurd potentially on the roster.
O-Line is what I'm looking at from here on out. It's gonna be key. Mack has been solid throughout his career. I'd take him for a year or 2.
I think the Dee Ford restructure, will be about the same, as the money to pay our rookie draft picks
So that gives us roughly $20 million left to spend
If when sign Trent Williams, I think that might eat up all of our cap space?
Which means no more money to bring in a Center, or backup safety, etc, etc
