Mom's birthday was yesterday. Had to watch the game this morning. What a beauty!!!

Our B squad come in and whooped ass. The Giants are a team we should have beaten even with our backups... Speaking of which, we were playing with 3rd and 4th stringers in spots. That is crazy.

Good to see Kyle open the playbook and look for more than the TE's and RB's. He's gotta get the WR's more involved. They can make plays. Aiyuk, Deebo & Bourne are gonna be a problem with Kittle and Reed underneath.

He lights it up another few weeks, do you pull him for Jimmy or ride the hot hand?

Here's the plan:
If you look at our schedule we have:
Eagles, Dolphins.....then.....Rams, Patriots, Seahawks, Packers, Saints, then bye week

The Eagles & Dolphins are not really a good team
We should win regardless, if its Jimmy or Nick playing
So basically, this is an audition for Nick
If Nick lights it up:
At the very least, he increases his trade value!!!
So if we decide to keep Jimmy, then we can trade Nick for a 2nd rounder or maybe even a 1st rounder

Or option #2 will be to trade or cut Jimmy (Jimmys contract is team friendly)
So here's the thing, Shannahan does not have to make a decision right now
Shanny can just let it play out, & let Nick start in the Eagles & Dolphins game
Just keep using the excuse that "Jimmy still needs extra time to heel"

After the Dolphins is when our schedule gets tougher, because we have division games + playoff teams
So after the Dolphins game is when Shannahan has to make the serious decision

1) Will Shannahan do like Jim Harbaugh and say "Lets roll with the hot hand"
OR
2) Will Shannahan put Jimmy back in the game to redeem himself, one last time
Because some coaches have a rule that supposedly "a starter can't lose their job to injury"

A lot is going to come down to how well Nick plays these next 2 games
Because even if Nick plays well, the media & the fans won't give him true respect until.....he beats the teams that Jimmy beat last year
Seahawks, Rams, Packers, Saints

Things are going to be interesting
Especially since the Eagles game is a Sunday night 8:00pm game, so everyone will be watching !!!

I can live with mistakes that's not a barometer because Jim G makes PLENTY almost EXPECTED mistakes
It's being DECISIVE and not being scared
If you take away the results of the plays and focus on the decisiveness of each player
Jim G looks like he's trying to understand what's going on
Nick looks like he knows what's going to happen before the play begins.

Yeah man, I totally agree
But what's crazy is that in 2017, when he first got traded here, he played really good then
You saw videos of him talking to Trent Taylor on the sidelines, telling him what the defender was going to do, etc, etc
Seems like when Jimmy doesn't have to think as much, & can improvise, he plays better?
In 2017 I thought that was going to be his "floor"
"And once he memorizes Shannahans offense, he would get much better, and look like Tom Brady"
But it seems like he has not improved much, or even regressed in some areas
And it seems like 2017 might've been his "ceiling", instead of his "floor"
He might have a quicker release than Mullens
But...Mullens reads the defense quicker than Jimmy
And is a more cerebral quarterback than Jimmy

The Eagles have a good D-line
And they will probably stuff our run game
So we'll have to lean on Mullens to air it out for the win
Only way Philly wins is from Wentz scrambling or off 49er turnovers
But we got this, I'd be shocked if this was close after 3 quarters
