Working together with the goal of accomplishing what? I think if "these dudes" were working together to address the growing problem of immigration, everyone who cross the border illegally would be charged with trespassing, and barred from applying for asylum for at least 5 years. We (United States) isn't the only country dealing with illegal immigration. Turkey, Italy, Spain are all witnessing an influx of asylum seekers. Hell we process Haitains here in El Paso who started the Journey to the US, all the way from the country of Chile. Chinese immigrants jumping off cargo ships coming through the Panama Canal. These dudes really are working together
How many Africans have died trying to get to Europe in the last 10, 20 years?Working together with the goal of accomplishing what? Well even if you dislike McCarthy the bum was right about his assessment of the border. He's a very sarcastic/condescending S.O.B by the way...LOLnothing

The central Mediterranean crossing from North Africa to Europe is the world's deadliest with more than 20,000 fatalities since 2014, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM).How many Africans have died trying to get to Europe in the last 10, 20 years?
If you know that, I don’t have a problem with you.The central Mediterranean crossing from North Africa to Europe is the world's deadliest with more than 20,000 fatalities since 2014, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Bruh..I never was one who look at causing problems here on BGOL. This is a forum where you can express your opinion. My opinions often cause some to call me the N-word or "CAC" LMAO. I lived a lot of life, and been to a lot of places around the world. I think that gives me the chance to view things from a wider perspective than most.If you know that, I don’t have a problem with you.

It's no longer a Republican issue...When the Governors of these border states Arizona/Texas started busing immigrants to DC, New York, Sacramento, Chicago and Denver, they started to realize the impact illegal entry has on local economies. The only white people you see coming are Ukrainians. The majority of the GOP wants to use the border like they did abortion. It's something to rally the troops for votes but not something they really want solved. Far too many of their donors rely on the cheap labor. Others want a way to get the right (white) immigrants. Every time a bill comes up, they vote against it. We actually probably would have gotten a bill during Trump's presidency, but he had Stephen Miller whispering hate in his ear.
My question to the OP us how the tming of McCarthy exit from the apeakership has anything to do with what was announced a couple of months ago?

I live in a border city. The facilities we have here are full to the max. El Paso Tx had the highest hotel occupancy rates (now that title goes to New York City). That hurts local business because the only people making money are the hotel chains., and the catering company's who tripling their prices. They just opened an abandon school to house illegal immigrants. You may refer to it "artificially created", but I would say it's the realty of what has been going on for the two year here. Texas Governor decided to share the burden with the "Sanctuary City's" It's not just Russians who try to have "anchor baby's" in the US. We have seen cases where the baby's were born in the US, then sent back to Mexico to avoid getting American Citizenship.Russians are known to come here just to give birth. Others come legally and over stay their visas. The issues those cities are having have been artificially created. The cities they are busing to don't have any infrastructure in place to sort immigrants and everyone is overwhelmed. Eventually that will change if the stunts continue. Regardless, that doesn't change the validy of anything I said or answer my question to the OP.

Revealed: US citizen newborns sent to Mexico under Trump-era border ban
At least 11 migrant women sent to Mexico border towns without birth certificates for newborns since last Marchwww.theguardian.com
It changes this by the sheer number of immigrants arriving on a daily basis. The election in a year away, so I don't think that has anything to do with this surge which has been going on for more than a year. So who are you referring to as "true believers"? Democrat runs the Executive Branch and the Senate, or are you talking about Mayors of New York, and Chicago? New York opened the Javitz Center during COVID-19. They can do the same for the uptick in new arrivals. I think most lawmakers support legal immigration, as long as the process is done in an orderly manner. The photo below is from one of two schools which were reopened here in El Paso to treat the new arrivals with "reasonable accommodations".How does this change anything I've said? Go research every time an immigration reform bill has come up the past 20 years. The GOP isn't interested in solving the issue. They complain about immigrants and caravans at election time and no other. The only thing that has changed recently is that, like with abortion, there are true believers in power now, birthed from or elevated by the Tea Party/MAGA/Freedom Caucus type movements. They are willing to act, but don't factor in consequences. Many of them don't want immigrants period, and is putting them at odds with some GOP donors and business owners. See DeSantis.
Personally I don't care if they are allowed to stay or not. What I'm vocal about is their dehumanization and poor treatment. The same thing said about them has been said about us and worse. It leads to atrocities. Black folk should know better. Deport them, but treat them like they are human.
