Fellas, anybody else following this Jalen Hurts blood clot story? This shit is frightening!!! This kid EASILY could have lost his life last week with his team seeming to have known full well he was potentially at great risk. I know there's a lot more to come out about this story, but what's out there now doesn't look good for the Eagles or for the NFL in general. It's clear this league couldn't give half a shit about any of their players, and they care absolutely nothing about putting their lives in jeopardy for the sake of the next win.
I hate the fact that I love watching this sport as much as I do, because my excitement about watching these games makes me a major part of the problem. If this league cared just a LITTLE for the physical and long-term welfare of their players, there wouldn't be such a thing as Thursday Night Football, yet, I'm excited about watching my team go against New England in a couple of days. I truly want to ween myself away from watching this league at all, because just like the rest of the country, these the fucking billionaires that own and run this league are destroying everything in their path, with no concern for the people they harm along their way to more billions and they deserve to be shunned and ignored. Yet, I know as soon as the Bears go on a run, I'll be a weakling wanting to watch it all. Interested in hearing what you guys think.
Man it’s horrible, and that he’s spent so much of his career dealing with critics like he didn’t win a SB and outplayed Mahomes in the other, it’s wild man. With him Philly is a below ,500 franchise all these years. Now, they played with that man’s LIFE. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.Fellas, anybody else following this Jalen Hurts blood clot story? This shit is frightening!!! and the main news source is in bed with the NFL so it won't be covered like it should...they'll cover it up and downplay it.
Like I said in the NFL thread, I had a good clot in my calf 15 years ago. I thought it was just a strain from gym work, which it probably was, but you can damage your blood vessels. I got imaging done after the urgent care told me to go the ED. I was put on Xarelto that night, gave me a list of things I can't do, go to my doctor at the time and to come back in three months to see if it had broken up.
It was gross incompetence to have him playing after telling him to not sleep until after the game and then not checking for another three days. Playing football while not sleeping. Not treating the blood clot immediately.
I was telling friends that he was done for the year from the beginning. My spider senses went up the time they tried to downplay things by saying it was superficial. When superficial clots move and become regular clots if not treated, because it's just based on where they started.
Bro, not only did they let him play knowing he had a blood clot, but then they let him fly for six hours from London back to Philadelphia with that blood clot, which then spread to his LUNGS!!!! You cannot fly for long distances with blood clots. That can be fatal. Then, instead of the team owner and the team doctors addressing the issue with the media, they send out the head coach to answer for everything!!!! Nick Sirianni is not a medical doctor. He doesn't know shit, and can't answer any questions. These motherfuckers are pure EVIL!!!! Some extremely serious consequences need to come out of this case, and may God bless and heal Jalen Hurts. He deserves much better than this!!!
I agree, and not only would I not blame him, he shouldn’t. With all the bullshit he’s put up with over the last few years in that city, while being, at worst, a top-12 QB and at best, a top-5 QB, if there was ever a reason and time to make a clean break where any kind of backlash on his decision would be indefensible, this is it.Yeah, I don't really blame him if he refuses to play for them anymore. It's so much incompetence and then you have Adam Schefter saying they did nothing wrong.
Nick Wright even mentioned how they didn't even have him on Saturdays injury designation.
All of that, for one game at the beginning of the season, not game 16 or 17 where they're fighting for the playoffs.
That TD drive was all setup by Rome Odunze. His blocking allows Burden to gain another 24 yards to get the ball down to first and goal to go position.
He is, or continues becoming, an ELITE blocker, especially downfield.

Wow did Jaylon just REFUSE to even try and make the tackle. Unreal.![]()
And JJ of 3 years or more ago wouldn’t have been scared.back to Jaylon and finishing my thoughts...that looked like he was scared to try and tackle a QB
Jaylon plays soft as hell. He'll cover but the second that there's a tackle to be made he gets real hesitantWow did Jaylon just REFUSE to even try and make the tackle. Unreal.![]()
His coverage has been lacking too. His Bears career gets closer to the end with each half-hearted tackling attempt.Jaylon plays soft as hell. He'll cover but the second that there's a tackle to be made he gets real hesitant
He's done! He definitely won't be back next year. He's fucking terrible! His coverage has been lacking too. His Bears career gets closer to the end with each half-hearted tackling attempt.
