Both fair points. Last season though, I was getting all kinds of shit done around the crib since the game was over by mid-2nd quarter, halftime at most; this year these fuckers are taking the ENTIRE 3.5 hours of my early to mid afternoon
Red zone playcalling/execution was atrocious, rearing its ugly head again. After I finally gave Gase props for his play calling last week, he left a lot to be desired this week. I know guys have to execute, but where were the screens? Why don't we use Wilson more? And I wish we would actually target Bennett a little LESS. Seems like when we target him, Cutler looks no place else but directly at him on that specific play... and while he's nice, he doesn't exactly get separation quickly (if at all).
I still think with all we have going against us, we need to find a more dynamic returner than Mariani. I think some other dude ran kickoffs back today (or at least the opening kickoff), but we need a more dynamic punt returner too. We can't afford for that to just be a wasted play.

My beloved BEARS are the epitome of a 5 win and a 7 loss team. The viqueens, lions, broncos and niners games were disheartening losses but the bears could easily be either 2-10 or 9-3. With the lack of talent this season, there is a small margin of error but I am glad that they at least play hard.
Hopefully GM-Pace can fill in the areas; where we need better talent in the future.
