Yea man. Just mentioning Bron in the same sentence wit Jordan was "disrespectful". Even with "just one title" it was blasphemy to compare him to the "6" God.

I believe they are both on the same page as far as impact. I remember back in the day, Dudes trying to duplicate what Mike was doing, not realizing that he was on another level athletically which was a key to the shit he did, and it made for a LOT of funny fail moments in pick up games! Now with Steph, Dude is supremely gifted, works HARD as hell on his game, BUT everybody is going to start trying to shoot in game threes in traffic from 30 feet... Still laughing at that HS game vid Sude posted the other day! :lol:

fucking thunder man....dont know what the word defense is. dam memphis never been a offensive team ...play the thunder and drop 122...lol.team aint winning no chip this year...full of bad shot takers and softies on defense

Well chambers might be the spark they needed he dropped 26...

But OKC and HTown defense ain't been there, it's early but the trait is there

The Rockets about to kill McHale.:smh: Got him looking spent on the podium, post game. Shit isn't worth it.

More like the Houston owner hired a coach who's system don't fit

As much as I can't stand McHale as a coach/tactician, I can't put all the blame on him. The players ain't giving no effort on defense. Their defense is at the bottom in the league. When they can't force turnovers or force bad shots, it affects their offense big time because they're not a half court team.

Shit is bad and as a fan it's getting painful to watch. My biggest concern when they got Lawson was him being a defensive liability alongside Harden who's also not a good defender. McHale needs to start Beverly when he comes back form his injury and he need to stop running this small ball lineup because they're getting killed on the boards.

Your right though, I never thought he (McHale) was the right fit for this type of system and I was conflicted when they went to the WC finals because I knew he would get a longer leash. That leash is getting shorter by the day though.

Your 100 correct defense effectiveness have a lot to go with effort...maybe 99.9%
So it not all on Kevin but hey it is what it is....

Don't about starting Patrick, but Lawson was a great pick low rick high reward pickup but he seems to be more effective with the ball same as Harden but only different is Lawson don't really handicap the offense even tho James put up points...it can work but maybe just not the year...

I remember( might've been you)that being said about HTown making the conference finals would grant Mchale more years which many of us don't want(even fans of other teams, like myself)...

Yea. Thats what i got. He was saying like how MJ was on another level than his peers, Curry is currently on another level than his.

:yes::yes:

I been watching and playing bball for damn near 3 decades... Steph is the best "offensive"player EVER.. Best shooting PG EVER... He stretches the defensive beyond the point that the other 4 players on GS one or two of them are open..

What u gonna do play a box and 1 on him? Straight up? Go zone? 3-2 set? What defensive scheme you gonna run at him?

It don't matter, he's gonna beat you with the pass or dribble around that screen and pull up from Antartica with 2 mofos on him and knock that shit down..

Never mind that but now u got to worry about Iggy, klay, Green, Barnes, the bench who are all starters on other teams... Don't be surprised GS reel off 2-3 chips in a row

:yes::yes:

Curry is on another level when it comes to jumpshots but not so much in other aspects of his game... MJ was on a different level on all levels..

I think the biggest different with MJ and these new breeds is timing...

Jump ability

As a whole is greater now(league wise) than then, not shitting on mike era because they had had the mental that drove them to greatness...

Curry is on another level offensively, not just with jump shooting ; he can score from anywhere on the court and hes so efficient which what makes him impossible to stop; his ability to pass and dribble are just as good; only maybe isiah thomas, from a guard stand point, can he be compared with in the modern nba era; MJ did so much for the game that its impossible to compare anyone to him; But I will say Curry is about to be on that level in terms of people wanting to see him play; which will help sell the game and help him get huge endorsements...

Athletes are bigger stronger faster more athletic now, but are mentally weaker by far.....

Porzingis dropped 29 & 11 last night on the Hornets. I'll admit I was one of the fans upset bout Phil drafting him but dude is proving me wrong. He's definitely a baller out there :yes:

Re: 2015-2016 NBA Thread - Training Camp 9/29

We can't fire Harden and Dwight has been solid so far this year.

Totally agree with this. What makes him different his is overall IQ. He's perfected the art of spacing, uses little nuances to get open, has an amazing ability to use the defenders aggression and strength against them, know exactly which pace to play the game at when needed and that change of pace ability makes him almost unguardedly. That's what separates him from damn near every great offensive player in the league right now, plus, because he plays the game from his shoulders up he will be much more effective than a lot of these other guys late in his career. The fact that he doesn't have to rely on athleticism like say, Westbrook is what puts him in a while new level. He's viewed as a 3 pt shooter because that is his highlighted skill, but if people would take the time to really watch him play, they would see just how complete an offensive player he really is :yes:

Re: 2015-2016 NBA Thread - Training Camp 9/29

Houston is a mess

Harden has always been a ball dominant quasi 1/2 who breaks down the defense and gets others the ball...so what do you do, get a ball dominant point guard and take the ball our your best players hands :hmm:

Analytics told him that would work? be successful at the start of the season?

While limiting Howard's minutes and not playing him in back to backs.

:smh:
