2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

CP3 might be the most overrated defensive player in the league! Stays getting roasted, now, Rondo out there shooting a lay up drill on his ass! :smh:

You're projecting. I never said Golden State's bench is trash. Just said they don't have the deepest squad this year, which they dont. Last year cats like you argued me down that the Spurs were unstoppable and they were gonna repeat because they started fast like this. Very few people on this board if any picked the Warriors to win it prior to the playoffs. It's a long season and like I said, winning back to back is not a cakewalk.

That's what I took it as bruh. I feel you don't have to have a deep bench. What players you have must be producing all year long. Yeah I did argue for the Spurs. If not Golden state I'd say Spurs.

Blake & DJ look good

CP3 jumper been broke these first few games

Yeah, he's struggling Dude! I know he's 'considered' a great defender, but whenever he has to really guard an elite guard he gets toasted. Curry I can understand, he does that to everybody, but when I see Rondo constantly getting uncontested lay ups I'm like :smh:

I think u might be slightly underestimating Rondo ball handling ability...

Its not about his ball handling ability, but the ease in which he gets by him. He's not out there like Curly Neal on those moves Bruh.

It's like Revis or Sherman, they hardly if EVER get roasted by the best WRs, Sherman is having a rough time at times this season, but for the most part, even the best receivers get shut down by them.

Thats what elite defenders do, and CP3 stays on highlight reels getting clowned... :hmm:

No he doesn't; show me highlights other than curry

Damn shame Cousins got hurt... All of the Kings stepped up, just too much Blake Griffin tonight...

...and Rondo definitely outplayed CP3 tonight. I thought Rondo was washed, but the way he looked tonight I'm not sure. Did whatever he wanted to out there

After the laker game a article was like he probably won't have that type of success Saturday night...the lakers are a mess defensively with the young players, but the clippers probably gonna bring him back to earth...

Yea dude still did whatever, being a Lebron fan this ain't no surprise

Cp3 seems kind of regular to me now of days.

Yeah he is. He's definitely on the decline, and unfortunately, it seems the clippers have peaked. He's done a lot in his career but overall, even that to a point has been overrated. He seems to choke on the big stage, that series loss to the Rockets last year was one of those career defining moments, and to come back this year, and play as average as he's been playing is really embarrassing.

Look at what Curry is doing... Won the MVP, Won a Chip, worked his ass off over the summer and started the season playing like he has something to prove...

Not CP3 though, even after that embarrassing choke job to Houston. No way an 'elite' guard should let a past his prime Rondo outplay him like that... :smh:

Bet you cant name a pure PG better.....lets not forget his still injured. But I would rather have a younger PG with Blake and DJ

Truth be told, I'm surprised dude held up as long as he did...

I thought that knee would've been acted up(not that I was wishing any harm to dude)

Curry and Westbrook has set the bar so high that I'm having a hard time appreciating cp3 pureness as a PG.

I don't know, man. I'm going to have to monitor this kat.

Yeah man, the age of the 'pure' PG is over. Its actually a description that sort of sounds like a plea being copped for a player not being as effective as they used to be or very effective at all.

A lot of CP3 flaws were hidden early, but now, with such great guard play in the league, the spotlight on his weaknesses is magnified.

Curry really shits on it because if you name the Westbrooks, etc, the first thing mentioned is their athletic ability, but Curry plays the game below the rim just like CP3, and even if you take away his shooting, he still is more dominate and head and shoulders better... :hmm:

Yeah, my sentiments as well.

Nothing about his skills are special at the moment. I always viewed him as intelligent, but not a big time gamer. He's not going to make mistakes much, but you can see that he has limitations. I always felt his long range jumper was sub par. He is losing a step and his skills hasn't improved much.

best part about the warriors is it's showing it was the team and not kerr.

No doubt, but Kerr still has his ring and their is no asterisk next to his name as the coach of the team that won the Chip though...

This is Currys team now... the coach is just their because they need one in the seat. I still give Kerr credit for cultivating the system and team dynamic to the level he did.

The fact that they are performing the way they are to me is not a detriment to Kerr as a coach, it actually validates him to me...

exactly
Curry isn't based on being able to jump higher or run faster.

he can just shoot better.
from anywhere off of any position dribbling or standing still or from a screen.
he can handle the ball dribble through traffic way better than cp3 only kyrie has the same level of handles

and if you trap too hard he will toss those dimes on your head.

all the time.

im not a cp3 hater but dudes holding on to memories of yesteryear and shit.

id rather have a dude who can get out of round 2 personally.

Yep, and not disappear for multiple close out games...

Doc Rivers sounds like a damn fool criticizing the Warriors Chip! Curry and crew did what they couldn't do, close out motherfuckers! As a 'great' point guard, that shit should never happen, that you disappear THAT much and that consistently... :smh:

im not mad at kerr. i just want curry and that team to get MORE credit for what they did.

that's the easiest team to coach in the NBA they're on autopilot right now.

like i said klay thompson has been playing medium since may and they won the ring and started off 3-0 with their 2nd best player stinking up the joint and fouling out and shit lol

Lol, I don't want any parts of Westbrook as much as I don't want any parts of Curry.

Cp3 on the other been had those flaws and were constantly exposed. I remember when Billups use to give cp3 that work when cp3 was in NO and Billups in Denver.

all im saying is, you up 3-1 the warriors trash lebron and them hurt

why yall ain't win the ring then if it was so easy?

if it was so easy they should be celebrating the ring. and every other team that was in the playoffs from the western side and didn't get it done period.

He's the NBAs version of a 'Game Manager'... not a game changing superstar, just a really good player. That's all he has ever been really...

Yep, and gave up a what, 20 point lead AT HOME? Dude couldn't close out Prigioni and Terry man?!?!?

Thats fucking ridiculous :smh:

Coach Rivers must think he's back at TD North Bank Garden with KG, Rondo and Truth talking that foolishness.

Totally agree fam! Curry came back from injury and did his thing! The whole team did, except Klay, who is playing smedium again this year! :smh:

Yeah I remember that stuf man! That's why NO wasn't hurt to get rid of his ass! Throughout his career when he's had t step up hes gotten roasted

Very true. Cp3 used to be praised about his ball handling and he still has his moments, but it looks like it takes a lot of effort for him to shake people off.

Curry and Westbrook are my two favorite PGs in the league. Cp3 is still going to be in the top tier of point guards, but he is not going to match those two unless some miraculous happens.

nah cp3 was a super star. i just personally think he plays better when there aren't any expectations. he thrives in the underdog role not the expected to win role

I respectfully disagree fam, if he was a true superstar, it wouldn't matter if there were expectations or not. Normally, when their are expectations, is when a Superstar makes their name, i.e. Curry, LeBron, etc. If you play worse when you are expected to perform, no way you can be considered a supestar, and CP3 stayed on the back of a milk carton during his career in big situations fam...

I can't remember, did the Pelicans and Rockets talk shit?
I know Harden said the "real MVP" bullshit but I thought the Clips were the ones talking the most shit.

Not the Pelicans, they just got a bad scheduling draw, but the Harden, talked direct shit about Steph!:lol:
