2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

Man it's crazy this dude bout that dumb shit but he ain't bout that dumb shit...
That's one of the quickest clear outs / naw my bad man moments I've ever seen. Other than Bogut nobody wanted to get near that shit.

Truth be told, they might be trying to get calls for Delly, there's no other reason to cut Mo time like this...it understandable some but completely, that had to be the case. They were trying to move Harris but with his surgery that ain't gonna happen.
Mo chemistry is off on this team, one thing he is too slow paced and next he is a horrible defender that allows way too much dribble penetration.. If you notice the games he played major mine, the Cavs looked flat and their ball movement quite stagnant, but I think the thing that is killing his chances is the lack of defense..
On the other hand, as I predicted, with Shumpert there JR Smith all of a sudden has become a force, this is due to Smith being a guy who is suited for playing in burst, all out, then placing him on the bench, as a starter he is forced to tone down his energy pacing himself more, this really cuts into his effectiveness... The same can be said about players like Delly, Shumpert, Thomspon and in many way Irving..
With Irving as long as he isn't forced to over extend his mins, he should be ok, one of the easiest ways to get injured is playing the way he does for long periods of time and not allowing his body to properly rest during the game..
Even LeBron and Love appears to be benefiting heavily with this extended bench and if things continue to play out they should be healthy all season an into the playoffs..
Deep benches is the reason why teams like the Warriors, Spurs and now the Cavs are able to play at such a high level and not get worn our/ injured..

Long as Kyrie plays like uncle drew the chance will always be there...man that fool did some "go this way, go that way naw go back that way, fuck it I'm pull a fall away shot...but he was in the post

Granted it seem like an ISO for him, or it turned into a clear out, but he had 3 defenders near him...

Having a complementary back up should help him a whole lot, because now he can rest up and pick and choose when to hammer it down on the defense... You clearly can see that this is the approach that LeBron, Irving, Love and even JR are taking... Remember when folks was saying that Curry could one day score 100 point and one of the points I brought up was that Curry is allowed to give it his all in short spouts, this is why he scores in batches and is why its impossible to sustain that pace for an entire game.. Same thing the Cavs are now doing, allowing their stars to play at 100 for short burst then replacing them with another high energy player..
As a former high energy player, I like this approach to the game, and I think it makes the game much easier for deeper teams...

My new years resolution is... To not even get into an argument with a person whose default response to a difference of opinion is the played the fuck to death you're a hater argument. All due respect Dude but that is some weak ass RHOA shit for real. If I wasn't impressed I wasn't impressed. Carry on... :hmm:
Being that wade called him out in the first game and rattled him and he came back this game and gave him problems and a nice block, that's progress. I impressed. First year in the league, he fuks up, he comes back and rectifies it. I like where it's goin

I definitely believe he is going to be an excellent player, I believe I was
the first on BGOL to call it, way before he was even drafted when everyone
else was calling him Darko 2.0. While he has hit a wall and hasn't been consistently productive lately, I like what I've seen out of the kid. I just wasn't impressed at all with his block on Wade is all... If he had gotten blocks on the plays where Whiteside and Bosh put him on posters I would have been more impressed. I am NEVER impressed when a guy blocks the shot of someone a foot shorter than they are... He SHOULD block those shots is all I'm saying...

On balance, NBA's Eastern Conference showing more quality depth

LeBron James and the Cavaliers are fourth in ESPN's BPI, which shows a tilt toward the East this season.

While the Western Conference boasts the teams with the two best records in the NBA (the Golden State Warriorsand San Antonio Spurs), the East is making a compelling argument that it is in fact the deeper conference this season.

It would certainly mark a significant shift, considering the West has long been regarded as the stronger conference, and rightly so, as the East had at least one playoff team with an under-.500 mark in eight of the previous 10 seasons. In that same span, the West had none.

BPI likes East’s depth

There is little debate that the Warriors and Spurs are the two best teams in the NBA this season, but after those two, the West is lacking its trademark depth.

ESPN’s Basketball Power Index has those two as the clear front-runners with the Oklahoma City Thunder in third. But beyond those three, BPI is dominated by Eastern Conference members: Eight of the next nine teams are from the East.

Overall, the East boasts eight of the top 12 in BPI, with all eight current playoff teams from the East in that top 12.

Net efficiency favors Eastern Conference teams

The eighth seed in the East has traditionally been taken by an under-.500 team the past decade, but that trend could very well end this year.

Not only do the top nine teams in the conference all have records better than .500, but they all have positive scoring differentials as well.

That’s a far cry from the West, which has five teams that are better than .500 along with positive scoring differentials.

Even when pace of play is factored in, the East appears to be a much deeper conference. Of the 14 teams with positive scoring differentials per 100 possessions, nine are from the East. Last season only six of the 16 teams that outscored their opponents on a per-100 possession basis hailed from the East.

East performs well against the West

A season ago, the Eastern Conference’s top 10 teams in the final standings struggled as a whole against the West, sporting a 148-152 record (.493). This season, the East’s top 10 teams in the standings have fared markedly better, going 76-52 (.594) against West teams.

By comparison, the top 10 teams in the West are 79-57 (.581) against all Eastern Conference teams, so the top 10 in the East have not only improved dramatically, but now also sport the interconference advantage.

-2 points

The 8 seed in the East is 19-16, the 8 seed in the West is 15-19. I dunno when it happened but the East is the better conference

The OKC Thunder is +750 and the Spurs +260 to win the West.

The mid tier teams in the West have fallen off. Memphis and New Orleans both have gotten off to poor starts. Houston is just pathetic. Phoenix will be in the lottery this year. Teams like Orlando and the Knicks are playing competitive basketball. Paul George is healthy and playing elite ball.

Undefeated in 2016

Noah come back tomorrow

And dunleavy after that

Just saying...

Pacers 3-1
Pistons 2-1
Cavs 4-0
Clippers 2-0
OKC 3-1(assuming they beat lakers tonight)
Rockets 2-1
Warriors. 4-0( if they hold on to this huge lead tonight)
Spurs 4-0

all im saying...

I agree with this 100% But what has open my eyes on Leonard is his three point shooting... Matter of fact I actually love his game and am glad that Shumpert has decided to emulate his approach to the game... But the NBA fucked up with there scheduling, how the fuck are they going to have the Spurs and Warriors play each other 2 times with in the last 4 games, knowing damn well those games may be meaningless games that they rest the starters..:smh:

NBA fucks up scheduling all the time; All im saying is on Leonard he has certain benefits that other top players dont have; And again the offense does not run thru him; take away parker and make Leonard initiate the offense consistently I will guarantee that his defensive #s drop dramatically; As with his efficiency #s...

But he is playing in a system that understand him as a player... Remember when everyone was saying how much JR Smith sucks and his numbers was way down and he was fucking up left and right, and I said that he isn't the player who can be a starter but instead he is the type that can play hard for 15 mins then you put him on the bench, and as soon as Shumpert came back he suddenly turns back into the good JR..
Well to a degree Leonard is a similar player, as long as he can stay in his lane and has the supporting cast that allows him to do what he does, he will be an elite player.. So yes you can bring up some of his short comings, but as long as he is playing in that system, he is going to be a force to deal with ...
