2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

The better teams always wins in the NBA. You don't win 4 games unless you are the better team
No they don't.... Sometimes it can boil down to who you play in the playoffs... For example what if the Spurs were to match up against a hot team in the playoffs and lose, now the Spurs may have the components to beat the Warriors but for some reason match up very poorly vs this team... Then the Warriors go on to beat the team that beat the Spurs.. Essentially the Warriors would have dodge a bullet, shit like this happens all the time in sports on this planet..

Spurs got the better overall lineup. Warriors gonna have trouble against Aldridge and Duncan in the playoffs when they meet. Also Leonard is gonna stick on Steph and that could be a problem for Steph.
If Leonard is guarding Steph then that match up favors Golden State. No way Leonard a small forward is going to stay infront of Curry off screens and the dribble

I don't think the Spurs have a better lineup, they have a lot of good players but they still trying to find the right mixture getting that ball around... Right now they are a very good team but both them and the Cavs lack the consistency to begin to talk about being as good as the Warriors..
Nothing you says matters or makes much sense. This is not a one or done title. You have to beat the other team for times. In the NBA the better teams always win.

Do me a favor, you keep saying the Spurs match up well with them?! Break that shit down in specifics for the board Bruh... Please
They are the only team in the West that can execute the half court set, they rebound well, they have a few closers and go to guys, they play good defense, and they do have depth...
My big question with them do Parker and Ginobilli have enough gas in the tank and if not can Green and Mills step up and fill the void..

I disagree, tell me who gonna stop Aldridge and Duncan on the Warriors?

Its not that simple, they have strengths that can make things difficult for the Warriors but then the Warriors have weapons that can make things difficult for the Spurs... It will most likely come down to execution on the court..

Yeah but the Spurs have more strengths.

Yeah but the Spurs have more strengths.
Im not ready to say that either the Spurs or a healthy Cavs have more strength but I will say they both match up very well to the Warriors and are the only teams to have a realistic chance, at this point of beating the Warriors... OKC has a puncher chance due to the fact that Russel and Durant may have a career series, who knows..

Steph would have all kinds of open looks off screens and would run Leonard into the ground trying to chase him
Shooters have the biggest problem shooting over tall lanky guys with hops especially guys with fast hands that can disrupt the dribble...

I meant they don't run plays for their Centers and that GSW centers job is to anchor the defense and score on hustle points

The Cavs so a great job of this also.
TMo brought it in the finals, they were going to him only because the had to.
Man teams need to feature those capable big men against teams that seem to be under sized.

*not saying GSW was undersized in the finals. TMo normally shine when matchup with Bogut for whatever reason.

Yeah I agree who knows but it will be between the Spurs, Warriors or Thunder that comes out thr West.

I doubt it
To beat the Warriors you don't try to stop Curry, because that is impossible.. What you try to do is cause him to expend as much energy as possible by playing both sides of the floor, and on defense... Then you win the battle of the 50/50 lose balls, G.S. kill teams with this, and then you have to win the battle of the boards, while not taking the bait and getting into a run and gun shoot out... OH yeah, did I mention that you have to hit your shots also...
Well that said, you can do all of that and still lose, but if you fail to do at least two of those things, well good luck with that..

I don't understand the Thunder love!!!
They are a very flawed team but they have the height, athleticism and offensive power to at least match up on paper vs the Warriors.. And if all the stars line up for four strait games, well all I can say is, stranger things has happened..
