If you think about it, Clippers essentially traded Jamison and Mullens for Glen Davis and Granger, w/out taking on salary. What a league!

Bynum haven't practiced with new teammates yet!!!

"The Pacers have now played ten games since acquiring Bynum, and the big man has yet to play a single minute. He hasn't seen live NBA action since Dec. 26, as his fallout in Cleveland caused him to miss the team's last six games before being traded. Bynum continues to receive treatments and build up his strength with the Pacers' training staff, but nothing even resembling an exact timeline for his return has been established.

Team president Larry Bird chimed in on the issue on Sunday, stating
"He's got to get in shape. He's just now starting to get up and down. It's going to take some time."

Bynum participated during the team's Tuesday morning shootaround – from full-court warm ups to shell defensive drills. Even on Monday, Bynum stayed after practice to work one-on-one with assistant coach Popeye Jones, attempting an array of post-up moves and shoots on the perimeter. However, Bynum will not work alongside teammates this week during practices.

"He's doing things," Vogel said. "It's just a matter of we're not going to have any crazy, intense practices this week so the plan is still to focus on those core exercises."

Bryan Colangelo Admits Trying To Tank During Tenure With Raptors
Feb 28, 2014 4:48 PM EST

During a panel at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, Bryan Colangelo admitted that the Toronto Raptors were attempting to tank during his tenure.

"Admittedly, I will say I tried to tank a few years ago," said Colangelo.

The Raptors finished the 10-11 season with a 22-60 record (.268 winning percentage) and a 23-43 record in 11-12 (.348 winning percentage).

The Raptors drafted Jonas Valanciunas and Terrence Ross with the picks that came as a result of their record.

Colangelo added that during those seasons he was also trying to develop young players.

Andrew Bynum Improving Conditioning To Play Consistently
Feb 28, 2014 1:19 PM EST

Andrew Bynum practiced three-on-three with the Indiana Pacers this week, and Frank Vogel is optimistic the veteran center will be able to play soon.

"The goal is to get him to the point where he's able to play every night," Vogel said. "We don't want him to play one game and sit three games."

Bynum signed with the Pacers as a free agent Feb. 1 and last played Dec. 26 for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"We know what we can expect from him when he's healthy and in shape. He's one of the best centers in the NBA," Vogel said. "We've seen flashes of that in practice that he's shown here."

I wouldn't worry about Bynum. Larry Bird ain't goona put up with that shit. Pacers only need him for the playoffs if Hibbert gets in foul trouble.

Jimmer Fredette will sign with the Chicago Bulls when he clears waivers.
Former Sacramento Kings guard Jimmer Fredette has told the Chicago Bulls he will sign with them if he clears waivers, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the negotiations.

Fredette, who was drafted 10th overall out of Brigham Young in 2010, was bought out by the Kings this week and has yet to clear waivers. That is likely to happen at 5 p.m. EST Saturday, at which point Fredette would be free to sign. Because Fredette was waived before March 1, he will be eligible to be on the Bulls' playoff roster. They are currently 32-26 and in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The third year guard has a career average of seven points and 1.5 assists. For the Kings this season, he was averaging 5.9 points in 11 minutes. He was shooting 48 percent from the floor and 49 percent from three point range.

Joakim Noah gets pissed at teammate Tony Snell for not chest bumping with him

Published on March 1st, 2014 by David Astramskas | 967 views

Of all weeks to leave Joakim Noah hanging this isn’t it.

Tuesday was Noah’s 29th birthday and last night was the 1 year anniversary of Noah’s monster triple double (23/31/11) vs the 76ers.

The Bulls also played the Mavs last night and with less than a minute in the game, Noah made a dagger to put the Bulls up by 9. He ran down the court, extended his hand and Butler knew what to do. Then he saw Tony Snell, jumped in the air for a chest bump and of course the man with 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 1 turnover and 3 fouls would mess Noah’s celebration up too.

Noah stared Snell down and then continued to look back at him in disgust. Meanwhile, a sad looking Carlos Boozer was also left hanging.

The jig is up

I guess you forgot who run Miami? A GM who has more chips than any bulls player and the entire organization

He got after folk who fit in the heat culture and a specific skill set...

Butler wasn't gonna get no burn behind Ray, bease, cole etc

NBA Playoffs 2014: Breaking Down Every Opening-Round Series

From here on out, every single second of NBA basketball matters.

There'll be no more tanking. We're finished with strategic rest for stars like Dwyane Wade and the San Antonio Spurs' aging core. Gone are the days of sedative basketball, and you can say goodbye to mid-February meaninglessness and snooze-inducing tilts between the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic.

Elimination is now in play, so the stakes are necessarily high. But this postseason features some uniquely intriguing narratives that add even more excitement to an already drama-laden slate.

Can Tim Duncan secure his fifth title? Will LeBron James and the Heat make it three in a row? Will Kevin Durant cap off a likely MVP year with his first ring?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Before any of those potentially historic milestones come into play, championship hopefuls and aspiring spoilers have to get through the first round.

Here's a breakdown of every opening-round matchup, complete with game times, viewing information, series-swinging X-factors and a prediction for the ultimate outcome.

Gloss over the details at your own risk. We're in postseason territory now, where wins and losses become life and death. Buckle up; this is going to be good.
