Monta Ellis, one of the premier free agents still remaining on the market, has whittled down his list to four teams and is hoping to choose his destination within the next 36-48 hours, according to a source

Ellis has pared his list down to the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Bobcats.

Having turned down a contract extension offer from Milwaukee last season that would have paid him $36 million over the next three years, he is hoping to land a deal in that price range.


It wills be intersting if he went to the Bobcats

Reports: Pistons to add Luigi Datome

The Detroit Pistons have agreed to a two-year, $3.75 million contract with Italian League MVP Luigi Datome, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward posted on his Facebook page earlier Tuesday that he was leaving the Italian League to join the Pistons, according to the reports.

Datome, 25, averaged 16.6 points and 5.8 rebounds for Virtus Roma last season, shooting 47 percent from the field (41 percent on 3-point attempts) and 92 percent from the free throw line.

The Pistons can't announce contract agreements with free agents until Wednesday, when the league moritorium on signings is lifted. According to sources, the Pistons had agreed to deals with forward Josh Smith and guard Will Bynum in addition to the reported addition of Datome.

The New Orleans Pelicans continued their busy offseason Tuesday, agreeing on a two-year contract with shooting guard Anthony Morrow, a league source told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.


Morrow will be the latest addition to the Pelicans' backcourt after the team acquired Jrue Holiday from the Philadelphia 76ers and Tyreke Evans in a three-team sign-and-trade deal. Eric Gordon and Austin Rivers also will compete for playing time among the club's guards.


Morrow, who has shot just over 42 percent from 3-point range in his career, split time between the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks last season, averaging 4.0 points. The 27-year-old also has played for Golden State and New Jersey in his career.

Knicks Interested In Chauncey Billups

The New York Knicks are pursuing Chauncey Billups.

Billups was amnestied by the Knicks in 2011 to create enough cap space to sign Tyson Chandler.

Billups, however, is unlikely to accept a minimum deal.

the cavaliers (and every other team in the NBA) are required to spend a minimum amount in salary every season. as of this moment they are well below the salary floor.
