100 sq ft apt in HARLEM rental $1275/month

New Yorkers are silly to think that they have it all that great when I have 2450 more sq. ft. and a huge backyard and a 2 car garage for around the same cost.

How smart is it to pay more for the same shit? Not very. If I told you that I got a 55" Samsung TV for $2000 and you got the same TV for $1000 I'd be a fool. Going to NY I can eat at a restaurant for a week for what you paid for one burger. No thanks

Big city of dreams...

Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit

This ain't native New Yorkers renting these small ass apartments

It's them out of town niggas coming into the city getting got like that

Nice. I never been to ATL. Still can't believe that shit and I been everywhere else (except NY or LA:lol:) But that looks nice and promising than good ol hatin' Chi-City.

shit u can believe it, atlanta has good prices for housing

i moved down here last year and i been house/apartment hunting and when i go through listings i say to myself this shit is too good to be true, but its true indeed. ive ran into a few that are nice as fuck but location is horrible :smh: other than that this is the place to be

Real shit, I've been seeing a lot of NY license plates in Texas as of late.

It's not just one race either. What's going on up there that's pushing folks down here?

I remember in the early 90's and all throughout the 1980s you wouldn't be caught in Harlem after 7pm

Now that shit hipster central and cac deluxe..

The city was literally selling brownstones for $1 fuckin dollar

you should've got in on that shit and bought $100 worth of them shits.

you would be posting from the islands right now.

I could give a fuck about culture and multi-cultural bitches, the ATL instagram bitches to the hippy hoes drop drawls upon entry into some shit like this!

In Atlanta, you can have the crib above and fly to New York on Air Tran 8 times per year with the $175 you save per month!

 New York be getting niggas. You can't even have no furniture in that bitch. Just a funky futon and coffee table with a tv and computer.

Damn.. You shitted on me bad...what type of speeds you getting ?

Where I live we don't even have fiber:smh:

got two houses for under 2 grand total ? damn....

speeds? :dunno:

all i know is that my web pages load faster than i can hit the "enter" button.:yes::yes:

to be honest with you, i had NO IDEA that fiber was even available out here, but apparently, to run the lines into the metro areas, they had to come thru here; so they made the tie-ins available to us country folk too.

i had fiber internet and 4G LTE and all dat shit BEFORE my friends who live in New Orleans; i been on this shit.

about the houses, i bought the 1st one right out of college at 24, lived in it for 7 yrs then rented it for 10 yrs. then, WHILE UNDER RENTAL CONTRACT, i kicked the tenants out after their lease expired and remodeled dat bitch top-to-bottom and wrote off most of the expenses.

then, after NOT finding anyone to rent it ;), i moved back in and now use it as a 2nd (newly remodeled) home. :D

:dance::dance::dance:

life is good down here on da bayou... esp when the hurricanes aren't too frequent.

All this exposes is how stupid people really are. Then you had that dumb cac that made a lil apartment in a dumpster. Are motherfuckaz that pressed to live in NY???

shit to justify that.. you would need to max 6 fiqures... and jobs don't pay as high in new york as they did in the past.. I've seen 10-12 dollar hour jobs and shit...:smh:

You cats don't know what you're talking about.
Most of these apartments are paid for by NYC.
The people who occupy them are basically from all over the world, not just NY or USA
NY'ers(some) are so fucking stupid that they are unaware that they are living next to piece of shit people who are having their paid by the city.
Do you really think that all these crakkkas and fags are paying $1000-$4900/monthly rents when all they do is walk around in flip flops and fuck in the gym all day.
How much do you think all the rents are in the South Bronx in those fucked up buildings? You really think those cats are paying their rent? Welfare is not just living in the projects. Shit, a one bedroom is only $330 or something. Section 8 is kicking out like $1400 for a one bedroom and that is only part of the rent. These cats living in these little ass apartments ain't stupid(some are). They ain't paying shit. Some NYC cats on here know what time it is..
And do you really think if those buildings were $1, they would last one hour. No one had 10k to buy 10,000 buildings? Detroit has a bunch..see what happens when you bring a bean to purchase one..

btw many of those cac's are roommates deep...same with plenty of other nyer's

are you saying most mother fuckers are on section 8 ?

I thought a deposit or assett value of $200K was necessary. I spoke with a retired lady who grew up in Harlem and she said that was the main reason residents were "legally" restricted from making the purchase.

125th st looking like 42nd st. now....Red f'king lobster in the middle of it all:smh:

only ppl that will take it is someone looking for a small studio space with a small kitchen and bath. Just enough space for a couch, a desk and chair

exactly.

This is not the norm. granted your dollar will go further in ATL,but I'm not interested in that country living one bit. I live in a county about 20 mins outside of the city and love that there's transportation 24/7, I can eat any kinda shit I want any time I want. I'm not much for the club scene anymore, but if i want to I can go to a performance or see some type of show every day for a year if i wanted to there's always something going on. When they call it the city that never sleeps they are not lying.

All that being said that apartment is just people capitalizing off some fool.

you know what I mean, boss..but too many nosey co-workers on here..but nah, Section 8 is just the gravy, although it's good in all states and PR

Big city of dreams...

one day when u stop watching sex and the city and actually come to ny u'll kno dat most of the dumb shit u say about ny isn't true..most of these new apt are geared to dumb ass foreigners and out of towners..if u were born and raised in ny u would kno dis plus for some of us if a family member owned a loc for decades depending on loc they got certain rules that da rent basically dosen't jump extremely high..and ny prob got more food vendors, food trucks, resturants than ur loc and truss it ain't dat expensive for a lot of them..if ur paying mad bread for a burger it's prob dat u look like a sucker and lots of people in my city like to take advantage of suckers..so be mad at urself if u got fuc'd

by the way u would use that small loc as an office, a studio to take pics/vids, webcam,if ur into not so legal money def a loc where u'd have hoes either sleep at, prob do dates, and it also look like a place where u would "bag" or "cook" products

But who wants to live next to the war zone in mexico? Who wants to live in The South?

You from Philadelphia right? You call this living??? Having your own green space is relaxing bruh. That's why most posters from the North East are bitter all the time.:D

Exactly. Put that extra $400-$500 on gas, tolls and parking and come in from LI, SI or Jersey. Heard that trip from CT isn't that bad either.

Love the NorthEast but ATL shitted all over that little 1.1k crazy style. Heard the roaches serve a dual purpose as doorman/concierge/security and if you get up early enough they know the quick way through that traffic, just hop on.

That's what trains are for. ..fuck gas tolls and parking

Bullshit. U been living in Harlem 20 years ur rent aint over 1000. Rent stabilization laws mean rents don't go market until they reach over 2000 a month. My uncle lives in this ill pre war building on 106 and bway with a manual elevator and doorman/elevator man like this.

1475565633_8a694e9ad7_z.jpg

He paying less than 800. He been there since 78. This rent is typical when u been in place for a while.

But alot of people did get tricked and herassed out of their houses by greedy landlords. other than that, virtually Nobody whos been living in NY for 20 years is paying crazy rent.
