Watched the 1st episode yesterday. We were definitely feeling it. Especially having grown up in the 80s and enjoying the likes of E.T., The Goonies, Stand By Me, and many more.

Naw...I enjoyed the nostalgia of it all but the big premise (the Upside Down) I think is what makes it modern. MK Ultra was all about adult participants...the youngin' element and the hereditary part makes it a little fresh. Nothing entirely new...but I'm more in love with the show for the story, acting, plot - hell even the costumes just cause that shit is hard to find, clothes or patterns - than the total nostalgia of it all. Homage is nice, but the show does a good job of turning it on its head.
