"What's good UG'ers!!
I know I'm in-and-out, but wanted to share an update w/ everyone.

Shooting alongside my boy Anthony B. Geathers, we trekked a bit of my old home town. East 161st and Westchester Ave. in The Bronx. Additionally, Hip-Hop legend Eric B. of "Eric B. and Rakim" fame showed up to floss as well.

- KahL"

"Not only that, but I still hold the argument that "know the ledge" is still to this day the most beautifully composed hip hop song in American history. And it was done predominantly on turntables practically.

I've been wanting to use this song for years and I listen to it still. Juice was a key part of our lives growing u . Wanted to do Sir Ernest Dickerson proud. haha"

"Aljamain was a fantastic subject too, man. BIG s/o to he and the God, Eric B . I was mad nervous around him for a lil' bit"

"Honestly it was a personal project of mine, but a contract for my partner Anthony. I've stepped away from MMA because of what's happening today. But some people inspire me to return, man. "

"Plus, Eric B is there? Shit, not passing THAT up for anyone. Lol

Once in awhile I'll do contracted MMA work; close to my heart."

Gonna be a good card tomorrow. Plenty of aggressive "action fighters", as the saying goes. Especially in the main and co-main.

I was lookin at the card the other day and was wondering why this fight is on FightPass. Sterling seems to have the record and enough steam behind his name right now to at least be in one of the featured prelim slots. Am I wrong?

Yeah - what they're doing with the Fight Pass platform now is trying to make it more attractive to current subscribers and potential new ones. Also trying to have a "main event" for each portion of the card. The Fight Pass prelims, the televised prelims, and the main card. Matt Brown & D. Maia were the televised prelims main event earlier in the month. I've listened to a few interviews with Eric Winter who heads the Fight Pass division and he broke it down well. Explaining you have to deliver on product for people. You can't have random fighters with no fan appeal filling up all the prelim space. Dustin Poirier vs. Duffy were on the Fight Pass prelims last year.

Same for the Fight Night cards ... they had Anderson Silva vs. Michael Bisping headlining one of those cards a few months back. Both guys with approx' 10 years of UFC experience respectively - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_Fight_Night:_Silva_vs._Bisping

Also, with Aljamain he's sort of gotten himself in the bad graces with the matchmakers as he was talking shit about his contract & was testing free agency and potentially gonna head over to Bellator. Hence the card placement and tough match-up. Same for Bryan Caraway. He's a credible fighter with experience (and has been enjoying Miesha Tate's pussy for years).

Yeah - he seems like cool people. If I recall correctly, he said he's based (Eric Winter) in LA or Cali with his family and flies out to Las Vegas a few days a week for business. Has prior business ties with Yahoo or another big company with the digital streaming content and more. Level-headed & smart. Apparently from UFC fans and media types that have contacted him ... he's good about getting back to people with questions and comments they have.

As for the card itself ... yeah ... I'm not sure what the programming is like in the US. Here in Canada TSN & The Fight Network (both based in Toronto) have the UFC contractual rights now, so fortunately they're able to air plenty of stuff like the event weigh-ins, post-fight press conferences, prelims, etc. So they do a good job covering the Fight Night, Fight Pass, and PPV cards. The weigh-ins themselves are this afternoon. Usually just set the DVR and check stuff out later, or if heading out for PPV event parties with friends ... just have the prelims & post-fight presser recording on the DVR.

Sterling :smh:

Main card strating now on FS1. These are gonna be some good ass fights. Im looking fwd to Masvidal v. Larkin.
