Close yeah but, Hendricks was robbed...

Hendricks robbed himself. He should've fought %100 instead at %70 like he said he did. You don't deserve to be champ if you trying to coast to a title win. He needed to completely dominate which he didn't cause gave GSP chances to stay in the fight and he did. Blame Hendricks and not the judges bro.

He didn't say he was fighting 70%. He said he was punching 70% in order to not punch himself out early--being that this was his first 5 round fight. Which makes sense. Had he come in there throwing hay makers for the first 3 rounds, he could have either been winded by the 4th or injured his hand again. He beat GSP in every significant way that should have earned him the decision.

I gave GSP rounds 3 and 5. I could not decide who won round 1 so I see how he won the decision. What killed Hendricks was that the rounds he won, he did so resoundingly and emphatically and even in the rounds he lost he had "moments in those too". Also in those rounds Hendricks won, though they were dominated by him, he didn't do enough to merit a 10-8 round. In essence, though Pierre got beat up for most of the fight, with the way fights are scored Hendricks still loses. It usually doesn't happen like this, but every once in a while...

From a commenter @ the UG: "Someone commented on the TMZ article: 'I don't believe this. Stéphane Patry, his first manager, said in an interview yesterday his family was healthy and that the issue was probably a multi million dollar lawsuit by former manager Shari Spencer.'

Once again our buds at TMZ has scooped the entire MMA world and there's nothing a single journalist can do about it. So apparently the troubles that have been keeping Georges St. Pierre up at night and will subsequently force him to take some time off is that his father is dying and he knocked up a chick and she won't have an abortion, TMZ reports.

Georges St-Pierre will take a break from the UFC to handle 2 major personal crises -- his father is dying and he got a woman pregnant and doesn't want her to have the baby ... TMZ Sports has learned.

GSP repeatedly made cryptic remarks after his controversial win Saturday over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 -- telling Joe Rogan he needed to step away from the sport to deal with personal issues.

Now, sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ Sports ... Georges' dad is dying and it's derailed him.

And there's this ... GSP recently learned he knocked up a woman -- and he doesn't want to have a baby with her but she insists on keeping it.

Alright folks, now feel free to pull off an innumerable amount of 'Lay and Pray' jokes in the comment section.

Chael Sonnen Moving Back to Middleweight: “I've Always Struggled at 205″

Chael Sonnen announced that he will move back to middleweight following his loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 167 in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

“I had one problem tonight and that is I fought someone who's a better fighter than I am,” Sonnen said on the UFC Post Fight show on Fox Sports. “I thought there was spots I could beat him. I come up short in my last three fights in that exact same position. I gotta work on that.”

Sonnen's last three fights have been at light heavyweight with a record of 1-2. It is unclear what weight his scheduled match-up with fellow The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil Series 3 coach Wanderlei Silva will take place at.

“I've always struggled at 205 to get used to the weight. I can do better than that, but I'm going to have to go back to 185,” Sonnen continued. “That's where I can do my best work; I can scramble and not get held in these positions.”

Despite the loss, Sonnen was in good spirits following the fight, and was pleased to have been a part of the UFC's 20th Anniversary celebrations.

“I'm not singing the blues as much as I should,” he said

Like I was saying a few pages back ... we had a room full of biased Canadian fans all rooting for GSP, and ALL of us thought Hendricks won it. We were pretty much quiet throughout the entire 25 mins ... and our only real contemplation were the strikes landed as GSP was ahead at various points of the fight, but as we all know ... he absorbed (and shows/showed) plenty of damage himself. Props to both fighters though. They've got us all talking ... good or bad.

Well, this was a first....

And as far as the title fight goes, the only thing St. Pierre needs is a ski mask because of that robbery. Damn, he got the breaks beat off of him. He was talking about memory loss in the press conference. He ain't with that life. I had a suspicion that when St. Pierre was in a tough close match, he folds up like a lawn chair. Like that match when he got his eye messed up and and couldn't see between rounds (Shields?) and his corner told him not to quit and eventually won the match.
