►►► OFFICIAL UFC 161 - Sat. June 15th, 2013 - Winnipeg, Man' - Evans / Henderson

I don't even care anymore who Jones fights. It's all his. I have my eyes of the rising of Uriah Hall.

Interesting to hear and read all the hype for Weidman (going into his Silva fight in early-July). I hope we at least get 3 - 5 rounds with those guys and not a quick stoppage.

Hendos corner told him to win that 3rd.
Did tha winner get Jones after he fights Swede boy or does that go to Machida???

that is a very good question
if Im Machida I would be pissed
not taking anything away from Gustafsson,
but I dont think he earned a title shot against Jon Jones

I mean he beat Shogun and Thiago Silva
Shogun is the only top 10 LHW that he has beaten

He lost to Phil Davis by Anaconda choke in the 1st rd
but he hasnt faced Hendo, Machida, Rashad, Glover Teixeira, Bader
and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

I guess he is the next white hopeful :smh:

Dana is looking at better PPV sales with Jones vs Gustafsson

Props to Yves Jabouin and Dustin Pague. One of the lead-off fights on FB prelims ... many had said it would probably be FOTN. PPV showed it after the main event ... and yeah ... that shit delivered. Give those guys their bonus $. Plenty of transitions & sub attempts/recoveries.

Machida vs Jones would be a better fight plus they been side stepping machida because they say hes boring and won't sell any ppvs.
That fight was tha most Jones been hit out of all his other fights.
Belfort almost got tha submission but I would watch another Machida fight since he has that karate stance which is hard to tell what kind of attack hes bout to throw at you.

Swede boy is just tall.Hes what 2 inches taller than jones I don't know what his reach is but I don't see him doing anything out there.Jones is tha more athletic out of tha 2.You're right hes just another great white hope.

Speaking of Great White hopes tha current one is gonna get served on tha 6th.
Weidman wants no part of Silva. :smh::smh::smh:

Could be a big fight. Also has some back history to it. Evans knocked out Chuck Liddell, who brought in and teaches along side Teixeira.
Hopefully its better than that pile of shit Tex vs Rampage.I don't see Tex wanting any parts of Jones with tha way he was fighting a washed up Rampage and not being able to do shit worthwhile.
Page should have never tried that hollywood shit.He ain't been tha same since.

Hell yeah Jones vs Machida II would be a better:yes:
I believe the fight will be competitive just like the
first fight but Jones got an
arsenal of skills and athletic ability to beat Machida again.

As for Gustafsson, he is the same height as Jones 6ft-4in
but his arm reach is 76.5 inches: whereas, Jones arm length
is 84 inches.
Jones gonna bust up
Gustafsson face with those jab elbows and side kicks,
just like he did against Rashad when the fought for the LHW title.

Yeah you right the Spider gonna beat weidman

I think Machida gets the winner of the next jones fight.

A key 205-pound showdown between Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis is expected to go down at UFC 163.

Brazilian outlet Portal Vale Tudo reported the matchup on Monday, although the UFC has yet to officially confirm the bout. UFC 163 takes place at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro on Aug. 3 and is headlined by a featherweight title tilt between Jose Aldo and Anthony Pettis.

Since being submitted by reigning light heavyweight king Jon Jones at UFC 140, Machida has gradually worked his way back into title contention. “The Dragon” scored a second-round knockout of Ryan Bader at UFC on Fox 4 to presumably regain No. 1 contender status, only to lose that designation when he refused to face Jones on short notice last September. In his most recent outing, Machida captured a hard-fought split verdict against Dan Henderson at UFC 157. A former light heavyweight champion, Machida began his career with 16 consecutive wins before relinquishing the belt to Mauricio Rua at UFC 113.

Davis has tasted defeated just once in 12 bouts, a lopsided five-round loss to Rashad Evans in the UFC on Fox 2 main event. An accidental eye poke resulted in his next fight with Wagner Prado being ruled a no contest at UFC on Fox 4. Davis submitted Prado in the second round of their rematch before earning a unanimous decision against Vinny Magalhaes in his last appearance at UFC 159. “Mr. Wonderful” also owns notable triumphs over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Tim Boetsch, Alexander Gustafsson and Brian Stann.
