I'm going with Frankie. Even though he is the underdog. Evans and Overeem gonna take them fool's out.

Yeah - Evans still has plenty to prove. Still wants a rematch with Jones, and/or an eventual shot at Silva (if he moves down to 185 from his current 205lbs). Plus he only held the 205 strap briefly some years back. Taking it from Griffin, and then losing it to Machida. That fucking 205lb belt has moved around so much the past 5 - 6 years it's remarkable. LIDDELL / JACKSON / GRIFFIN / EVANS / MACHIDA / RUA / JONES since 2007. Tough to say with Aldo/Edgar. Aldo gives everyone problems (but has had the long layoff after injury). Edgar's been fighting in title fights dating back to 2010 with Penn, Maynard, and Henderson. Also, it'll be our first time seeing him at 145lbs after years at 155. Bigfoot / Overeem should be interesting. I think most of us picked against Bigfoot in his fights with Fedor & Travis Browne respectively. Plus, the last time we saw Overeem was in late-December 2011 against Brock (for 2 or 3 minutes).

Evans is the only one to really take Jones the distance like that. Could be he is in his prime or it could have been the fact that they use to train together. I don't know, but I am excited to see which Rashad Evans shows up. The one who only fights to get by or the one who can absolutely wow you in the cage.

Aldo has been off from injury but people forget that he was ending fights in stunning fashion before then. And who knows if Frankie had his confidence shot against Henderson. I can only assume that hands will fly fast and often.

Big Foot did what he was suppose to against Fedor and Travis Browne in my mind. Fedor had this hype but he hadn't beaten anyone and I always felt like Travis had decent hands but not as they should be. Overeem will be rusty but this is it for him after that drug test. If he wants to be a contender again, he has to come back strong.

Overeem apparently gets that immediate title fight if he takes out Bigfoot.

The version of Rashad I want to see tomorrow is the one against TITO ORTIZ when they squared up (Aug. 2011). Good cardio, focused, kicking ass.

As long as we never have to see this again...

I'm unsure of Aldo vs Edgar. Aldo is much more dynamic and has some serious power in his strking. Edgar has great movement, wrestling and cardio and he said he feels better now that he doesn't have to eat as much.

Evans vs lil Nog. Tough one to call. Nog has great boxing and a good ground game. Father time has caught up with him so Rashad should be able to stay out of danger, but I feel if he gets into a boxing match we will Shad Face 2.0. Also Evans has to avoid to much movement in the guard or he will get swept and I feel if nog get on top Rashad will be tapping not to soon after. Rashad has a black belt, but Nog has a BLACK BELT.

Overeem vs Bigfoot.

I both don't have the best chin's so I feel its a matter of who lands 1st both have some serious power, but I feel Reem has the more range of strikes and has enough of the ground to stay form getting submitted.

All in all most are 2 close to call but

Aldo
Evans
Overeem.

Enjoy the card tonight, fellas. I'll check in latenight or Sunday mornIng. Always cool to see the event discussions.

* Here's a general event recap (photos and links) per my reply on PAGE 5 of this thread. Thought I'd also add it to the 1st page here for those who are skimming over the first few pages of the thread after the fact in the days/weeks to come).

For those who have messaged me and asked about fave MMA podcasts ... here are the ones I listen to regularly. I keep my Ipod in x2 speed playback, and skip over any and all ad breaks, as most of the shows run 30 minutes - 2.5 hours. Gotta get through them quickly.

I know you saw Overeem and Silva go at it a little bit during the weigh-in. This wasn't the first time they jawed at each other:

After the beating Bigfoot Silva took against Velasquez, this won't end well.:smh:

Overeem did look a little fat during the weigh-in (minus the juice).;)

Smart move for Damien Maia to move down to Welterweight
He looks more stronger than being a middleweight
That was a pure grinder match
Maia out-Fitched Jon Fitch

I was amazed on how Maia controlled Rick Story and Fitch so easily

Next fight I eat Horse-Meat to get muscles Overeem  vs Lil NOG

Glad that happened. Steroid freak standing in front of his opponent with his hands down......sheeeeeeeiiiit! :smh:
