For a guy who absolutely loves science fiction to abandon this show…. Should say something and this a guy who watched all of Warrior Nun on Netflix.

For what it was Warrior Nun wasn't bad.
Finished the last episodes before it’s hiatus last night.
Series is still a slow burn, but it has become more evident that the Government knows more about the 4400 than what has been revealed so far.
Having them in a hotel with a social worker, parole officer and Dept of Corrections offices was clearly a front.
The Government knows about the 4400s powers and has its own devious plans on what they want from them. Hopefully we the audience will find out soon.
So far in the first 7 episodes, all the major characters have been introduced. Their backstory from their time period has been explained with hints on why they were chosen. All their powers have been introduced.
The young White chick hippy is one of the most powerful. She was running thru like Jean Grey with her power of telekinesis that she has control over.
Two new 4400 were introduced. One was a female who has wings. Not sure if she can fly cuz we only got a quick glimpse of her.
The other is a black dude that can control fire and looks to be able to light himself up like the Human Torch. I think he is either West Indian or African. Couldn’t really tell from his accent being he didn’t have much lines.
The series is on hiatus until mid-January 2022 when it returns.
The only thing that is going to save this show is if/when the 4400 gets full control of their powers and work together like the “X-Men”.
Also, we the audience need good information on what the Government is up to and who/what abducted them and what their agenda is. I don’t think their agenda is the same as the original series, if they go that route, this series is dead.
Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Dr. Andre left the hotel and got picked up by a unseen woman in a SUV telling him this is his only chance to find out what is going on.
Next episode is the season finale, the preview looks to give us some answers on what is actually going on.

I mean absolutely nobody is talking about this show. I honestly forgot it was still on.
I had to shotgun the episodes since it came back from its break, but everything seems so forced on this show.
Watched the season finale earlier tonight.
I will say the first 15 minutes was probably the best part of the season.
Manny’s explanation of what is going on is interesting and the concept could work for a few seasons. From what they showed with him in the future, I don’t think he has been 100% informed of what the plan actually is. I suspect he is being used cuz their were a number of red flags. And with Dr. Andre meeting Sierra Stone along with the final scene of Manny, it’s got my curiosity going for a 2nd season.
No word at this time for a 2nd season. If it does happen, I will wait for the whole season to run, then binge watch it.

I was thinking about this show today (uncanny) that this thread pop up. I quit watching. Horrible directing and flat acting. They completely destroyed the coolness and intrigue of the original story.

Still have not watched one episode and I LOVED the original series.
So many bad reviews and other good shows just never had time.
I gotta at least watch this season.
It's very low budget. The first how many episodes takes place in one large banquet room. Sort of like a Madea stage play. Where people talk amongst themselves (while others) mill around in the background. No set pieces or different locations really other than a flashback here or there.
The acting is bad. The wardrobes are bad. It just comes off very low budget.

You can say the same about any of the CW shows.
Shows like “Riverdale” and “Legends of Tomorrow” that nobody gives a second thought about but get renewed every year.
The new show “Kung-Fu”, who the fuck watches that?
people still write reviews about Riverdale and Legends of Tomorrow. I even see reviews on Kung fu. But no one talks about 4400.
I don’t see reviews and nobody is raving about those shows on this forum.
That’s my point.
I hate watch the FCUK out of this show. The 4400, Detroit, black men and women, and Sci-Fi. It had everything that I was looking for in a TV show...then it premiered and you sit there thinking NOBODY would act like this in these situations...but then again I think the women in Kevin Samuels shows are actors so what do I know? But I wanted to love this show so bad that it is heartbreaking how bad it is.
The show was trash, even by CW standards, and I don't think the network being sold off for parts sounds good for their Season 2 renewal prospects. The show was promoted as a 4400 reboot from the perspective of the black experience, and then they marched a damn Pride parade right through it, literally. I checked out when the teenage daughter announced she was gay too, as in, like long-lost mother like daughter. It didn't help that they fumbled the ball on the sci-fi front too. This show is an example of when Hollywood spends 90% of its time trying to be intersectional and inclusive and only 10% of the time writing a creative and coherent narrative.

Look I get inclusivity, but the majority of the people in the show are either gay or have some kind of tie to a person that is gay. It really seemed like every episode someone was coming out of the closet somehow. I am waiting for season two to be like that Asian guard is into getting pegged. The white girl identifies as a black man and now needs a sex operation, funny how they made HER the face of the revolution?! All these black faces throughout time and the one white girl is the face of this shyt!
Hell I only remember reading about a relaunch and that was back in 2019 I think and had forgotten about. And I used to watch the original 4400.
