I think everyone realizes it.
Right now UFC has no real competition and he locks people up to long term contracts at a certain salary. Gives little bonuses for knockouts, blah blah. A lot of boxing trainers make more money than UFC fighters, while Dana gets rich having one pay per view event a month.
And look at people like Tito Ortiz, what other outlet does he have making moneyJoin all of these USFL MMA companies and hope they don't fail. Josh Koschek was basically forced to stay with UFC.
I remember dude used to brag about how he used to have to have a whole card of quality fights and named fighters, unlike boxing. Look at his past few cards, it's been BJ Penn/GSP and garbage. Rampage and Forest and garbage. Rampage and Jardine and garbage. Dudes becoming just like Don King.
You also have to consider it from the business end. You see the massive payouts that Affliction gives some of its fighters, but they are losing money every show and may cease to exist in a year. Plus the upper tier guys like Rampage and Chuck are doing pretty damn good, you seen Rampages car lol. But the lower level cats don't get a whole lot. Some of them cats are like lower level boxers, have extra jobs. I know alot of the guys get by from their sponsors, plus some of them own gyms, and also get money from appearances and training other fighters.
But one thing about UFC, their cards rarely suck, no matter who is fighting. Even if it's some no names they will lay it on the line and put on an interesting fight. Thats why I don't hesitate to order most of their PPV's b/c I know they will be good. Which I can't say the same for boxing.
