I've never known a bank robber to wait for a teller to just walk around behind the counter here and there.
I hear you but even if you look at it that way, as a customer that doesnt know all of his options - you have a responsibility as a business to inform your customer of a better way.
Let’s just say Ryan Coogler is a nigga with new money that still operates like a hood nigga does because he doesnt know any better. Your bank should always HELP you to operate your finances in a more learned way.
I found this out when I won some money at a casino in Chicago. The lady asked me for my ID and then she handed me a slip of paper and said WRITE DOWN how you want your money distributed. Then they counted the money under the counter and handed me my tax form to sign my name.
She gave me my ID back and the money I wanted. The rest was in a check that she put in an envelope. I looked around and there was 10 NIGGAS - WHITE NIGGAS TOO all watching to see how much I had.
When I walked up to the front to leave, the guard in the front asked me if I needed to be seen to my car and I said no thank you - I always roll heavy. Got an extra clip in my back pocket too. He laughed and me and wifey left.

Instead of calling the cops, the manager should've gotten involved...checked ID, note...spoken to Ryan, and THEN pulled him aside to offer any assistance he might need.

coogler could have call disney to call the branch of boa to set up the withdraw so don't have these problems. he has that kind of juice

There have been tons of second guessing in this thread, but the bottom line is the business failed him.
He simply gave the teller written instructions, which she didn't read...in a hold up situation. The note coulda said, that if you move you're dead...and then you'd expect the manager to have some common sense.
The onus is on the business to make sure his experience at their biz is positive.
It certainly behooves him to communicate better, but he doesn't have to.
One of my peeves, in retail or business, is to hear employees use the words "have to" with a customer.
