Take the short er lower paying contracts to get experience. You will be able to fill your resume with a lot of app support as well as hardware and user support.

Migration jobs need minimal experience but you can stuff your resume with post drop support.

Getting anything network is harder with no experience. Companies tend to want their network hires over qualified Try to find some internships and junior network roles.

Also smaller businesses where their IT people are jack of all trades.You can get your hands on more technology than in a bigger company where roles are more compartmentalized.

do web searches in your area.....dice.com indeed.com and careerbuilder.com you can upload your resume and create recurrent job searches

you can also do a search for it recruiters... TekSystems is a big one that has national offices.

1st one, I am looking for a security person with PGP key experience and the other one is below:

Senior Security Engineer – Role 2
Location: Bay Area
Duration: 1 year
Visa restriction: none
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, server platform security
• Experience with System Security tools
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and techniques
• Good understanding of network infrastructure, security and protocols
• Experience working in a multi-location enterprise environment is preferred but not required
• Experience with centralized log management or SIEM platforms is preferred but not required
• Security operations experience is a plus
• Certifications not required, but SANS, CISSP, CISM, Cisco certifications are a plus
