Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round Playoffs

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

it's Landry... Pau is scared of physical dudes, and all Landry does is give out the business

Co-sign.
Everyone in the league (and watching at home) knows this.

In Game 2 in LA....

All big men (left) for the Hornets will be in foul trouble..... in the very 1st quarter. The refs will foul-out anyone who plays any 'tough d' again on Gasol.

Expect the Lakers to WIN BIG.

We've seen this before, in playoff games in LA.

Wait for it.

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

Paul is a pure point. Rose is more dynamic. I wouldnt call him a better point but maybe an overall better player because he can give you just a bit more because of his athleticism...

and I just wonder about Paul..about his long term prospects because of that knee..

but in terms of being a pure point...rose cant compare because his assist to turnover ratio leaves a lot to be desired.

yea I guess cp3 is still number 1:smh::smh:

I watched the 2nd half looking like this

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

 Picking up hella fast.

They should play "The Bitch in Yoo" whenever he touches the ball in opposing arenas.

It bugs me out when people think he should be the first option.

His scores come from his 15-18 foot jumper, that quick turnaround, the faceup jumper, and getting dished the ball in positions near the rim where he reacts quicker than opponents for quick lay-ups.

He won't take you off the dribble, doesn't drive well, can't back anyone down, doesn't have a repertoire of moves in the post.

Not to say he isn't a very good player, but he is certainly not the franchise player made out to be. That's why Bynum is extremely important, because he allows Gasol to guard and be guarded by the smaller power forward.

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

You see that bullshit.

NOW Pau Gasol makes a fuckin move.

It's clear now, he gets intimidated by bigger more physical players.

Amar'e said that 2 weeks ago and Pau, Artest and Bynum shot back saying Pau is one of the toughest big men in the nba.... lolol... u can see he isn't.

yeah, there's no way in hell LA loses that game. Pau won't have too bad games in a row.

But will Kobe have as good a game? He needs to stop over dribbling, he constantly turns the ball over when he goes through the leg. I don't know if it's the finger or just a loss of ball handling skill from not practicing - but you can see guys are waiting for that move to gamble for the steal, and it's better odds every season.

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

worst thing about this lost. now all the laker haters and kobe haters come out the wood work. acting like they watched the whole damn game but only saw the last two minutes. will now throw in their :lol: and Hornets in 6.

seriously if you are not duece no one else should be doing this :dance::dance:

Congrats duece don't see them winning the series but they at least will make it competitive.

one thing about playoffs and the lakers they bring the haters out

Paul is a gamer and an ultimate regulator of energy. But at the same time, Rose doesn't seem to have a limit of energy. If you watch the post game interviews, he's not winded at all. He's ready to go for more. That's scary as a Pacers fan.

What worries me about Rose is that the he and the Bulls are relying on his ability to penetrate in the clutch. Lebron tried that the last couple years and what happened? And he's bigger.

In fairness he stepped up in 2010, but again, he shouldn't play too much time at center when the other team has a big guy. Should they get past NO (now it's going 6 instead of 5), he'll have

Tyson Chandler or Marcus Camby

or

Kendrick Perkins.

Only against San Antonio would he catch a break playing minutes at the 5.

Uh. Rose's supporting cast is WAY better than the Lebron Cavs

You notice that too huh?
Everytime he starts dribbling between his legs I'm like "Ah sh*t".

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

Funny thing is... if the Lakers win the series and Gray can't play or is hurt... Jokers will say they won because Gray was hurt!!

Rose might be more of a physical freak of nature than Lebron...

Well said

A person with Chris Bosh on their team, calling Gasol soft

It keeps happening more and more. He needs to pare down his game a bit, as far as handling the ball.

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

6 boards for Pau... who does he think he is? Amare?

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

Yeah, after 7 years in the league. Rose's game WILL change again. If he's still this nuts entering his 8th season then we can mak that comment.

But Lebron was a freight train year 3. Too powerful, too fast, too strong.

Lakers gonna still gonna win this in 5 or 6...especially if Grey is hurt...I would be shocked if this series goes 7...but a long series might affect them in later rounds.

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

Uh. Rose's supporting cast is WAY better than the Lebron Cavs

"Way" is really reaching. Really. And I mean really.

And have you seen Lebron play live? He's literally a beast, physically. Like Karl with handles.

If Gray can't play the rest of the series LA could very well win out from here.

With Gray they can push this series to 6 games, possibly 7 if they get in Pau's head and Kobe goes Darth Kobe.

Re: Official Hornets and Lakers: 1st Round- Game 1

I wonder how many times "ball movement" will come up in the post game interviews on the Laker side?

Lebron, physically, is ridiculous... but Rose is equally impressive with hops and speed...Im still shocked by how easily he gets to any spot on the floor he wants to...and makes even quick defenders looks slow...dude is freakishly quick...

Im not talking about overall basketball skills..I´m just talking about physical gifts...dude leaves me doing this :eek::eek: several plays per game

I missed the play...Did gray really roll his ankle that badly?

I don't think so. Nobody in the West has an easy first round matchup. As long as this shit doesn't go 7, I don't see if affecting LA.

Way is not reaching.

Consider the Cavs the last two seasons with Lebron.

And consider this season's bulls.

Boozer, Noah, and Deng would ALL be the second best player on the 2008 and 2009 Cavs.

The best Cavs were Mo Williams, Anderson Varajao, Z and Hickson. All of whom if placed on this seasons Bulls would be the 5th best player.

no Amare "I bitch when I have to play the five and will disappear in the playoffs and will shoot jumpers and keep my ass out of the paint and yet to win a ring ass" Stoudmire calling Gasol soft.

Gasol plays the five no problem. Amare has to play the five. it's oh we gotta find a big man. since PHX.

same people will vanish when LA wins the series and pop back up the next series they lose.
