Wonder Woman TV Costume Altered
Looks like the producers heard some of those complaints...

The reveal of the costume for the new Wonder Woman NBC TV pilot was not exactly been met with universal praise, with plenty of criticism thrown at the new take on Princess Diana's classic comic book garb. However, with the pilot filming scenes on Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles this week, spectators are getting a look at Adrianne Palicki in the costume and it's clear that there have been changes made since the photo reveal. So it certainly seems like some of those complaints were heard, my fellow fanboys.

@WonderboyLB tweeted several photos and videos from the set, and what quickly stands out is that Wonder Woman now has red boots that match her comic book counterpart much more than the blue boots in the early photo. Also of note are the pants, which are darker and made of a different material than the much-mocked shiny, lighter blue vinyl seen in the first photo that many compared to a Halloween costume. Which?

From the unreleased eps of BP that I've seen, I knew there'd be a backlash somewhere. The BP mythos has always had a strong independent streak anyway, and inevitably it'd be seen as anti-American.

The Escapist.

In fact, Marvel stole two characters from the franchise - Black Panther and Doctor Strange.

Back in the 40s to 50s there was an African American Escapist there was also an African Escapist. They were also modeled after panthers but had the logo of the Escapist. His full debut was in 1966 and several months later Marvel took it and ran with it in Avengers...

Later on the Escapist had a actual magic user as an Escapist that was protecting the word from the unseen forces of other dimensions...who's main bad guy was a demon lord with a flaming head....

The Black Panther made his first appearance in comics in the Fantastic Four in 1966. Never heard of the Escapist, but Panther was around waaayyy before his stint in the Avengers.

That show is just doomed.
 
My level of disappointment...as a Wonder Woman fan....is so far bottomed i don't think there's even a word for how badly i feel about this. Or about Black Panther, i swear i hope and pray that's not T'Challa.
