It seems that you stopped reading the manga a long time ago and just jumped back in for part 2. It was already explained that a large part of Naruto's problem with chakra was due to having 2 chakras to deal with. Then you added the problem of Orochimaru's seal for a short period of time (which Jiraiya removed).

You should recall that even though Jiraiya removed the seal, the wood clone cut off the tailed beast's chakra from entering Naruto so that he could focus on his skill set on his own without having to rely solely on the tailed beast's 'power' that was the same arc where Naruto completes his father's aka the Fourth's technique and destroys Zabuza.After that its shown countless times that he's still having problems in controlling his chakra, evidenced by the Rasengan he still can't control or form it in one hand like his father or Jiraya, he's on a desert island with Killer Bee to try to learn manipulation which is one of the techniques you learn when you've developed chakra control!
Ok now: Naruto didn't beat Zabuza. Kakuzu was a training exercise for Naruto.
Naruto was stronger and faster than Pain, and had intel on his abilities. He's not the same kid he was before the time skip.
I wouldn't agree with you here, the reason being, Pain just obliterated an entire village, and then Naruto shows up as a 'Hero' the fact is if Naruto was fighting Pain @ full strength what would've been the outcome of the fight? Also has Naruto really 'grown' Kishimoto is still writing him as though he's a full retard, one minute he's a Super Genius, figuring shit out, and making complex battle strategies, next minute he's on a floor crying for a man in front of other grown men, or on a 'deserted island' looking at turtle penises straight bullshit, whilst you have the 'Uber Cool' Sasuke not giving a Fuck about anything! On another note, people are talking about him still trying to save Sasuke. Even that turned in another direction after he tried to kill Sakura.

Seriously, there are a few valid points around here, but a lot of it is too obvious to even deal with. The shifts in direction are made obvious. Everything becomes clear. Naruto said so himself, that he'll have to face Sasuke ready to kill him.
