enhance all this with CG/digital matte paintings and show it in the establishing shot/opening scene,since the majority of the film takes place in one location anyway

If people stopped buying tickets to these stupid films the companies would have to pay a little more attention to the details and core concepts that make readers come back to comics month by month.

A solid, high production animated film would do the job...these live action movies have been glittering turds.

Something like this with a modern sensibly and world class voice acting would be stellar.

Yeah your right. Red hood was a good story that in the grand scheme of things was just a cheap reboot. But lets be real comics from the Big two have been getting worse with these cheap moves in the last two decades. What they did to Batman and Captain America was probably the most blatant death storylines yet.

That shocked the SHIT out of everyone in those days, since Darkseid was part of Jack Kirby's defunct "Fourth World" books for DC.

I still have all my original issues.
But have been looking into getting the hardcover trade.

Agreed. You have to read this in a vacuum though because what they did to Darkseid recently turned him into turds...Batman drop kicking him in the face...Going to Ghostmode...

Jack's work along with this series is best expressed on the animated screen and in another DC great 'Cosmic Odyssey.'

I wasn't okay with how Jason Todd came back, and wasn't really okay with him coming back. However, I did like the Red Hood stories with Jason.
In the grand scheme of things, outside of the Batman stuff, which is starting to make my head hurt, DC has been terrible since Countdown. The lone brightspot, in the big picture, was the Sinestro Corps Wars, which has now been marred by both the predictable Blackest Night and the slow as molasses and complicated Brightest Day.
If I'm going to ding DC for rebooting Jason Todd and making like his death didn't happen, would be to basically say DC's operating procedures stink since a major part of what DC has been doing during and since Countdown is trying to rewrite and revamp the entire DC universe. DC doesn't leave room for one to get hung up on continuity and history when reading a current story line.
