My Home Theater Heads, Need Logitech Harmony Universal Remote Help [Porn Inside]

Alright, fam. I am looking to upgrade my home theater system with a remote that I heard you guys talking about. I can't believe I am even considering a universal remote that costs over $100, but right now I have a PS3 remote, an Onkyo HTS5300 remote, a DirecTv HD remote, a Sony MHC-GSX100W 60CD Changer remote, a Samsung UN55C8000 remote, and a Samsung BD-C6800 remote. That's way too many for my chair. I need to simplify. I realize now I should have bought one of these when I saw it in some Black Friday deal.

I have looked at via google the Logitech - Harmony One - 15 Device Universal Remote (bestbuy - $169.99)[Sale Priced], but they also have Logitech - Harmony 650 5 Device Universal Remote ($79.99); Logitech - Harmony 700 - 6 Device Universal Remote ($119.99); Logitech - Harmony 900 - 15 Device Universal Remote with RF ($249.99)

Are they worth it? Which one has the best value? I have noticed on several universal remotes in the past that significant buttons, like the menu button, would not work on the universal so you still had to keep the remote handy, which totally negated the benefit of the universal.

Is this a problem with the Logitechs? Is there one or any that do not have this problem? What have been your experiences? I hear there is a huge problem with battery drain on the LED inclusive models. From your experience do these come with a recharge station or do you have to buy it separately?

good deal. i had the 880. shit broke from people dropping it too much. I'm about to cop another one. They are worth it, saves you a shit load on batteries (unless you use rechargeables). If the OP doesnt want the Harmony 1100, the 900 is a good one too. Not much difference other than the screen.

yes it is. buy it, if u dont think its worth it, return in. it will take some time to program, but its well worth it. it can control damn near everything. from tvs to blinds. even electric stoves.

say you come home and want to turn on your tv, cable, receiver, air conditioner and open the blinds. by pressing one button, you can. you can even set the volume and channel on the tv, and the temp on the ac all at one time.

yeah, they dont even market it anymore. good thing about these remotes, is once you set them up, it saves to your online account, so if u get a new one, you can just transfer the settings via your pc.

I don't like the harmony one you need two hands. The 880 is probably the sexiest remote next hamony 1000. You should also check for Nevo universal remotes on ebay they look like something straight of of star trek

Man, you the guy with the 3d samsung and the blu-ray right??? with that setup and this remote, you will never need another remote again, you can control every room with this plus if it is inside a cabinet you can still control it without having to open the cabinet, everything is touchscreen all you have to do is connect it to usb let it connect to the internet and input your model #'s that's it...Oh yeah, you do have to buy the ps3 adapter also because that's the only way you will be able to control it...

You can also get the harmony one touch remote for 169.99 which is nice but will leave you limited to a degree, like not being able to control components inside a closed cabinet...but you will still need the ps3 adapter regardless of which remote you purchase, sucks but there's no way aroung it...

I love it im still learning it though.. I have a bit of a hard time figuring out my tv's input delay speed and power up delay speeds.. so sometimes when i which channels or inputs it stops are the wrong one. once i can figure out how to get it right i should be in the money.

I've had multiple harmony remotes, mostly due to them breaking on me. Even though the more advanced models seem to be poorly constructed, I keep buying replacements. They are convenient and do as advertised. I've got the ir 2 bt adapter which allows the remote to control my ps3. Monarch had their own adapter now.

Best Buy still has them for $169, I think I'm going to cop this one. The 1000 looks fantastic, but $400 or close to it is WAY too much for my blood.

did you have trouble programming ya tv's with the correct input delay speed and power on speed using the Remote? Im still learning to use mines and i checked the forums and they all me in order to get ya shit working right you have to adjust those speeds properly but this is like a guessing game to find out which speed you should set it too.. I'll select an activity and sometimes it stops one short of the correct HDMI Input that shit pisses me off..

is there someway to find out ya tv speeds? or a list or some shit?
