Whereas Lola was trying to clown them, I remembered that this was me until I got 1/2 way thru college. I grew up in the burbs (fairly wealthy parents) and didn't know shit about the street life. I am so far from being bi-racial but my ex-wife is so I understand the struggle. I grew up around all white folks, generally.

I work with two biracial females who have white mothers and those sistas are soo clueless to things! It really amazes me. One is 33 years old, she came to me and asked me could I teach her how to make soul food. She had no idea how to make anything. Her husband is black and she wanted to cook for him. She said she was thinking about going to see it. She had no idea that it was a heavy drama and considering a year ago she TRIED TO COMMIT SUICIDE OVER A FAILED RELATIONSHIP and she still suffers from depression, I didn't think it was a good idea she go see a movie that was so emotionally "heavy".
