Doc Frankenstein was a great limited series from the Wachowski Brothers and artist Steve Skroce. The story of the unholy creation by the mad scientist continues where the Mary Shelley books stops. With our hero, having taken the name of his creator, now a full fledged crime fighting adventurer.

yeah I remember that...did it have anything to do with the title stopping? or was it supposed to be a limited series?

The storyline was complete as far as I know. DC just wanted to up their creature count at the time because they had a lot of un-used properties in the 'scare' department for their upcoming Magic event.

It's almost the same way Marvel is trying to retcon Dracula to make him seem more like Kirkman's Dracula from Astonishing Wolfman.
