Flash and his homeboy benches 520 with a spotter

Props.

I know where my limits are and would never attempt that much on a bench. Maybe just once on a Smith's machine - but never free baring it.

And to all the clowns in here, I don't think you understand the sort of focus and raw strength you need to get that much weight up and down at least 1x. We're talking about A QUARTER TON here, fellas. You have to respect that.

It's not getting it up part that's the hardest, it's the negative side - the coming DOWN that takes the most concentration and weakens muscles the fastest because we're not design to deal with high weight on the contraction side. The explosion and expansion side is what our muscles are designed for.

Anyone who has tried some power lifting knows what I'm talking about. That last inch on the way down before you hit your chest - that's the killer. You have no leverage and your muscles are fully contracted, then you have to reverse motion to the expansion side.

:smh::smh::smh:

Have ever attempted a lift with 4+plates?

Some conversations you need to stay out of, because it's pretty obvious you don't know what the fuck you're talking about right now :smh:

For some reason, this lil nigga comes to mind when I read Heist's posts.

Fat? Nigga, I'm anything but. Were you even able to count how many plates were on the bar? To your admission your moms is a fat whore. Have you figured out who your father is yet Rossini? Maybe he/they can take your skinny bucket headed punk ass to the gym to get your weight up.

thanks for the love yall,lol at lonestar

For what I didn't say anything funny....oh you too? I knew you couldn't spell but I thought you could read.:hmm:

Either way, my comment stands you didn't get THAT WEIGHT, no matter "the love" you are getting/looking for in here. You didn't even lift it of the rack by yourself.

I guess you're jealous as well?:rolleyes: Like i said it's not the look I'm going for. I like to be toned and agile. I don't need to be that big.

:confused::confused::confused:

What the hell you talking about, I didn't say shit to you.

ima start lifting again so i can bench press them tittays

:hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

Have ever attempted a lift with 4+plates?

Nope. Never. Wouldn't even attempt it - I have no need or desire to. These guys are going for anaerobic strength. Peak burst and Vo2 max stuff.

I weight train for muscle endurance. Longer reps but mix in some HITT training and quick twitch training to give me explosiveness when needed.

I don't think I've done a maxout test in probably 5-6 years when I was training hardcore 3-4x a week. I hit 270 lbs one time and I was happy with this. For some reason that stuff doesn't really interest me like it does for some gym rats - but I can still respect the amount of training and focus it takes to incrementally increase your max number.

whats the point in being able to bench all that wieght and still being fat?

Just a different kind of goal, Flawless. These guys lift for peak power. Cutting fat isn't necessarily their main goal.

There's a lot of muscle behind that fat though - which in turn makes them look fatter.

On the flipside, don't be fooled by these super cut up muscle dudes. They look strong but many of them are not (relatively speaking of course). They lift to put on bulk then just shape the hell out of their muscle and get super defined.

In terms of strength...
Power Lifter > Body Builder

Unless you plan on going to prison I dont see the point in power lifting like that, I'd rather get cut for the hoes... but to each his own.

Not disagreeing with you. I don't powerlift. I don't have a need for it. But I understand the attraction for some and respect the type of training that goes into it. But going to the gym and spending the entire time stacking plates isn't my my bag.

I see a lot cops, firefighters, construction workers, mechanics seem to like it - blue collar types.

Not a knock against them at all by the way, just an observation. You're not going to find too many professionals who are into powerlifting.

Why is it that anytime you "girly men" can't lift major weight y'all start talkin this "I lift for endurance" bullshit, and y'all can't even do that.

I remember a year ago some little dweeb nigga like you struck up a conversation with me while I was on bench. I knew there was some bullshit on the horizon, because he was obviously new and insecure to the game, so he asked me why I was lifting so heavy and that it had no benefit and how he had more endurance than me because he could rep out 135 for ~30 times.

I gave him the look...
LLCali.gif

And told him he didn't want none. He thought he was slick believing I was exhausted from the 3 plates I was workin' out with. I called over a couple of the homies to spot and count off the reps. So this clown goes first, hits 33 reps with 135lbs. Had a shit eatin' grin thinkin' he did something major.

My turn, so I'm reppin out, I pullin' some Maywether type shit by starin' at this fool while reppin. By the 60 rep mark this nigga was like
eagle.jpg

The the kat who was spotting me told me to slow down the pace because I'll be able to squeeze out a few more reps. I topped out at 78. Older kats laughed at the square and told him to think twice before talkin shit in the gym again.

So fuck you skinny niggas on that "I lift for endurance" bullshit because I'll out rep your asses any time of the day any day of the week. :lol:

You can be cut and strong. Ask your moms, she'll tell you about JD Walker. Them bumps in the night you heard coming from your moms bedroom could have been me power cleaning that ass.

:eek: That's a lot of fucking weight assisted or not. Good for you.

Congrats Flash. Like Coolie said, that's a lot of fucking weight. It took more stones to post that vid. then some of these clown coming in here talking shit behind the safety of a computer screen.

:hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

You did not get it. I was being sarcastic.

I feel you, but only 260lbs @ 6'6", 275??? I'm 5'6", 175 and I can snatch 260 about 4-5 times, with proper technique.
Like you said, it's about the technique not the weight so much, which I completely agree with. But I would think a dude as big as you might have said 360lbs, not 260lbs.

You are a beast, myself...

Flat Bench max 135lbs
Incline Bench 135lbs
Dumbbell Shoulder Press repping 70lbs
Barbell Shoulder Shrugs repping 385lbs raw I need gloves or hooks badly
Barbell Shoulder Press repping 185lbs (half reps)
T-Bar Row repping 180lbs
Squat Max 375lbs
Leg Press repping 720lbs

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
son, I don't have to lie about the amount of weight I bench.
when I go to the beach
I don't have a problem walking around without my shirt on.

you don't have to bench 400 lbs to have great chest development.
that is a fact.
moderate weight and high intensity is going to build more muscle than high weight, low reps and zero intensity.
that is a fact.

jzie5g.jpg

:eek:

Where yo chest at
Where yo lats at
Where yo traps at

i salute the effort playa but you might as well lower the weight and at least show and prove 3 reps at a weight you don't need spotter to help you lift.....that will be official about how much you can really throw up.

Its always been 1 rep to get your max....
