Football fans: Neymar is better than Messi, lets discuss..

Its surprising that Nzinga's threads still get attention, truly amazing

I know some have called this guy a parody poster, now I am certain that he is

Our love of football here on BGOL runs deeper than one poster. It's all mere opinion.

You take it for what it is.

But remember I kept saying Brazil needed a playmaker in midfield... Neymar was deadly where ever he was on the field... Imagine if you put him in the middle of the field with the latitude to do whatever he wanted... Luis Fabiano, as efficient as he is playing for the national team, would score 15 goals...We are having a parallel discussion on this on several African music boards and the consensus is that the boy the is best. It is that simple...

The boy is a dangerous finisher with either leg, the head, in tight closed spaces, or wide on the wing. I have not seen anyone with that kind of ability except Pele...Imagine if you gave him the role of a Zidane.....oooooooooooooh!!!

Of course I am very happy to learn that his birthday is 5 February; the only thing better would have been for it to be 4 February like mine...
ronaldinho:yes::yes:

Congrats fam:yes:

South Africa looked brilliant today.

Ghana has been exposed.

I do not know why South Africa like engaging in this fratricide. I do not know how many goals South Africa won by, but this totally bullshit. They always pull hateful crap like this. In 1998, South Africa naively and arrogantly participated in their first World Cup, thinking they were going to win the whole competition. When they were exposed and checked out of the first round, they turned their venom against a Nigerian team that was carrying the African banner high, and challenged it to a game to see who was the best in Africa.

What kind of shit is that? We do not do that crap. Our philosophy, mindset and modus operandi, has always been 'one Africa'. Period. Full stop.

South Africa had their chances in a wide open group, and they flopped. Carlos Alberto Perreira called a good game, but their fear of white people did them in. First Pienaar stood passively while Mexico connected to a wide open Rafa Marquez, who scored and equalised with 4 minutes to go in a game they should have won. To add insult to injury, that stupid Shabalala then had the temerity to say, of the victory given away that "at lease we are creating opportunities". What kind of shit is that? There is no second chance in the world cup. You bury the opportunities when you get them, otherwise everything you have done is irrelevant. Then in the game against Uruguay, the captain of the team ducked from a shot by Forlan and let him strike on the goal. Of course the ball went in. Idiot. The whole reason why you make a wall on a free kick is to invite them to kick into you. Therefore on a freeflowing play, if their most dangerous striker is about to kick on your goal, you do not duck the shot. That first goal by Forlan is what ended their World Cup..

Ghana losing to South Africa in a friendly means nothing. The Ghana under 20 would beat the South African seniors in a meaningful tournament. I do not know why South Africa place a premium on meaningless friendlies. For the many years that they were barred from international competition, the South African hang their beliefs on they fact that they allegedly beat the 1970 World Champion Brazil team. From there they, extrapolated that they were among the best in the world. Come to find out at emancipation that they were barely among the best in Africa..

South Africa can make a mark in this game, but they need to look inward. They need to expend money to groom juniors. If they can do that, they will be good...

Maradona did it for Argentina in 1986....

As a player MARADONA STOOD out in that SQUAD, but you are neglecting what Jorge Valdano and Jorge Burruchaga did for that squad.

When world club teams used to play each other, the Brazilians were successful against the Europeans.

Do you mean the Intercontinental CUP for Club teams ? If so, I don't see nothing special.:dunno:

South American teams have won the cup 1 time more then teams from Europe. Teams from Argentina have the best track record in regard to this cup.

If Dunga had taken Neymar, Brazil would have won the world cup...You are giving the Europeans too much credit. How do we know how good they are when they only play each other?

IMO the Brazilian Team lacked creativity on the midfield on the world cup.

.

Argentina have a high reputation for the 2 world cups they won. The fact of the matter is if we except the one they cheated to get in 1978, their other 2 world cup finals were the result of Maradona. In between their two World Cups, they were forked out of the World Cup, when they were defending Champions, in a game in which they were so outplayed by Brazil that Maradona was red-carded for vindictively stepping into Zico's stomach. They were back to their cheating ways in 1986, in winning the cup. In 1990, they lost to Germany, but proved that they were a threat, as long as Maradona was on the field. In 1994, Maradona was kicked out of the tournament because of cocaine sniffing problems...And Argentina became an average team, and were kicked out. Since then, they have been an average World Cup contender. They are clearly a team of good players, who have an excellent, albeit dishonest, spirit, that is ripe to catapulted to the next level by the emergence of great player... Brazil are always great, except when their coach is a dimwit like Dunga..

South American teams have won the cup 1 time more then teams from Europe. Teams from Argentina have the best track record in regard to this cup.

You are reinforcing my contention...All this bullshit about the wonders of playing in Europe is belied by the fact that European clubs are best on par with South American teams, or maybe even slightly inferior, going by what you are saying. I close my case.

IMO the Brazilian Team lacked creativity on the midfield on the world cup.

Please read what I had been saying for 1 year before the World Cup... This is exactly what I told people. Brazil was weak in midfield. This fact was evident when South Africa toyed with them in the confederations cup last year; when Egypt took the to school...The difference between Brazilians and Africans is that even when the Brazilians are not playing well, their tactical awareness is better than ours... For this reason, they beat Egypt, and by sheer luck, they beat South Africa...

Yes Dunga would have won the cup with a creative midfielder...That person could have been Neymar.. Put him in the middle and get rid of Elano, and Brazi are a different animal.. Or for that matter, put him anywhere in the front line and let him distabilise the opposition... And Brazil romp home... With the opportunistic Luis Fabiano in the middle, Brazil would have beaten whoever they played...

First of all, it's futbol.lol

Second of all, I still believe Messi is the best in the world. I think his problem sometimes is that his head doesn't seem to be in the game sometimes. This kid, however, is not that far behind Messi.

I didn't see the game, but Ghana were exposed in the world cup, we can't score goals, and alas in football, that's a major flaw...

Lack of passing was what exposed them IMO. They came out trying to be superstars, and really ended up looking stupid. Even the African Commentators were cracking jokes on them:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Milo be fired because he cant really speak to them.

South Africa is a very good side., and are only marginally less talented than Ghana.

What was amazing was Ayew getting his wake up call. He pretty much has dominated on the Ghana side since that u20 world cup, but he had his number called against Pienaar. Dude got put in the back pocket, and was subbed off looking like he was about to cry.

Asamoah Gyan missed a couple of shots, but that is expected coming from him these days.

Bekoe is gonna be a star, but he didnt come in until late

Mensah was the only Ghana player looking to pass for most of the day.

In all honesty they arent as good as that performance in South Africa made them look(Never were really, they just lucked up to be able to get out of their group with 4 points unlike teams like Ivory coast), and they wont make much noise in the african nations cup.

From the african matches I saw over the past two days I rate the following countries
Cameroon-10. Impressive dominance over a strong poland side.
Tunisia-10. Pure dominance over Chad. Good position in CAN qualifying.
Ivory Coast-8. Nice win over Italy.
Botswana-5. Should have beat Malawi, but are still leading their group.
Egypt-5. Gives up way too many goals, but still impressive.
Burkina Faso-10. They will qualify for the 2014 cup.
Gabon-7. Decent, but could have won by more.
South Africa-10. can do no more than they did.
Nigeria-7. At least they are socring again I guess......still pretty awful way to lose:smh:

Embarrassments go out to Ghana(Fucking exposed),Mali(Worst team effort I have seen in a long time), and Senegal(Dont care if they won).

The game is Football..I have no idea what futbol is, and I do not want to know what it is. If you do not know this, ask the English who own the language. Secondly, I believe that Neymar is better than all the other players in the world. He is better than Kaka, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi, Drogba etc etc... The fact that he is 18 is not relevant. Pele led Brazil to a World Cup at age 17...

This is why I hate BGOL sometimes. Ninjas can't even joke with mothafuckas on here. Did you not see the LOL at the end, damn. Whatever buddy.
Good day to you.

Here's a little education since you wanted to take the shit literally, clown ass muthafucka:

Main Entry: futbol
Function: masculine noun
Language: Spanish
or fútbol

1 : soccer
2 futbol americano

It can go either way. It was a fuckin joke.

That is a meaningless international friendly. South Africa is not close to the quality of the 5-time African champions, the Under-20 World Champions etc etc... You should understand this about South Africans (and Zimbabweans): In a certain respect, they are a victims of their history. They are inculcated with the notion that white people are superior. Therefore they yield in the face of white competition. In the case of South Africans, they also believe that they are better than other "Africans" and so, it is hardly surprising that they they would exert extra effort, that they were too timid and diffident to proffer against the marginal Mexicans, when playing against the higher quality Ghanaians...

In their own mind, that result from yesterday vindicates their notion that they are equal to, if not better than, Ghana... Sadly, this is not the first time they have made an effort to manufacture that illusion. They challenged Nigeria in 1998 while the World Cup was going on, and Nigeria was flying high, and they had already been knocked out; thankfully, Nigeria maturely ignored them.

Did you see how man South Africans had fake dreadlocks weaved into their heads? Practically the entire team. They were like Black American women who think it is immoral to appear in front of white people without a perm on the head... That shit was as sad and deflating as the crap on Marion Barber's head. You know what they want; a white man has long hair, they must have long hair too. A white man can have a pony tail, so Shabalala goes and buys fake hair, weaves it into his head, and makes a pony tail from those fake dreads...

Thankfully, no one Ghana had that shit... Of course you have Drogba with that revolting perm....

Why are you trying to impose a Spanish word when we are discussing this in English. The genesis of the modern game was not in spain, and the name of the sport in English is Football... Do you want me too look it up for you, or are you satisfied in accepting the meaning of the acronym F.I.F.A????

I don't get you...
Brazil as a collective were better than Argentina, so if one man won if for Argentina, why not for an even better team like Brazil?

But is there a Brazillian player of Maradona's skill today? Exactly. There are always exceptions to the rule. Not even Messi shined during the WC and on paper, they arguably had a better team.
