What is Fedor's track record? Fight a great fighter then fight cans then another great fighter. Recently he's HAD to fight decent to good fighters each fight and it caught up to him. He had trouble against AA, Rogers did work and Werdum caught him. That's why he didn't come to the UFC. He'd have to walk through Lesnar, Cain, Carwin and JDS. No way. Fedor from the bottom with Lesnar on top of him is dead. DEAD. No one has gotten up with Lesnar on top of them.

You have to hurt your opponent. Brock wasn't hurt. The uppercut and knee dazed him, but on the ground he wasn't hurt and could just take punches with no damage from the strongest puncher in history. I'd been telling you niggas that Brock had a iron chin, but no one believed me.

He isn't stuffing Brock's takedown. In reality these two aren't even in the same weight class. Shane and Brock are legit super-heavies and Cain is just a heavy. Lesnar got beat on for 4 minute and got right the fuck back up. That nigga's chin is certified. Nigga's cardio certified. His wrestling certified. Jiu Jitsu certified. The only way you can beat him is stick and move and pray you stop the takedown. Carwin was the best chance as a big wrestler with power. It's a wrap. but his overall performance wasn't great....he still has holes in his standup....
Shane did even land that uppercut flush...it clipped lesnar and he ran outta there literally.....he didn't want to exchange at all with Shane...instead of countering or just defending he decided to ball up.....
if Shane had better Ground and Pound and gas tank he would have been done (Lesnar).....
and also Gene they need to have both a heavies and super heavies in MMA and Boxing,......

Fedor and overeem stand a chance against Shane. Lesnar is taking them down and beating the shit out of them. An American wrestler is going to do Brock in and it will be Shane in the rematch.
They do need to split the division up, it would give us a great heavy class, but who would fight the freaks at 265? We'd be on Carwin/lesnar 5 by 2012....................not that I'm complaining.

I'm neutral on the Cain vs Lesnar fight (unlike his match versus Carwin, where I wanted and thought Carwin would win).
My only point is that it's interesting how some (not you) are anti-Cain for having "Brown Pride" but don't equally criticize Lesnar's public (read his interviews prior to his recent fight) conservative views.
In any event, I'll be watching the Cain vs Lesnar match, but I don't have the optimism that Cain can beat Lesnar that I did with Carwin.

I totally agree. Carvin ain't no ordinary dude..He has two-times the power of a normal man. I can relate to Brock covering up. Once you've seen fights stopped for less it kind of give you the idea that it should have been stopped. I can relate to the ref as well. A fight like that you don't want to stop unless it's absolutely necessary. Shane was just burnt out. Big dudes tend to get winded faster because of the size and muscles. Ever been to the point where you couldn't halfway lift your arms? Legs sore from dude kicking them? Now that's what I call tired. It really feels good by winning some how. I shouldn't have used Kimbo as an example. He just gave up. He was winded, Legs beat up, confidence shot, and will broken. Dude couldn't wait for the ref to stop it. I think the refs are not on the same sheet. Each has their on interpretation of a stoppage. I'd say it's about 50/50.

As one of the biggest Brock fans, I'll say it straight up, he nutted up. He's a wrestler and hasn't been hit before. I'm sure they don't hit him in practice either. And he got hit by the biggest hitter in the sport. And he didn't like it. But I bet it doesn't happen again. His chin got tested like a motherfucker and he passed. I don't think he'll be afraid of getting hit again.

Been on vacation so I'm late to this discussion. But anyone saying the fight should have been stopped should watch it again. Brock was defending himself and most of those GnP punches weren't doing alot of damage. Most of the damage came when he was standing with Shane, and the first couple when he was on the ground.
I'm actually more impressed with Brock after this fight, he showed a ton of heart.
