how many dudes u know still play the lottery after they hit it?
Will consistently makes what Chris made for the Rush Hour series. There is no excuse.
will considers himself a serious actor. tucker is a comedian who was on the come up. has nothing to do with him making excuses. he got the money and ran. nuthin wrong with that
And he's not making $10-25M either.
(Is Brett Ratner his sugar daddy?? He made his career and keeps on taking care of him.)
You can't even comprehend your own quotes. Russell Simmons is the one who RECOMMENDED Ratner for the job (since he was familiar with his "urban" video work), not Chris Tucker (who had no clout and was still only known to Def Jam types).
Ratner used his knowledge of Chris Tucker's work to get the most out of him and to turn a B-movie into a surprise hit. Ratner has directed countless hits without Tucker, while Tucker has done nothing productive without Ratner. Chicken or the egg?
I remember an interview he did a while ago saying that he was basically chillin and enjoying life.
but seriously he has done only 2 movies since 1998 (rush hour 2 and rush hour 3). He made a shit load of movie from rush hour ($20,000,000) and rush hour 3($25,000,000 + 20% back end gross). He got a bently and like 3 houses everywhere. But dam i guess hes really content with that cause he doesnt even have any more movies lined up.
Chris Tucker wouldn't have come anywhere near Money Talks (or Rush Hour) if old buddy/homeboy Ratner hadn't hooked him up. No one in Hollywood had a clue who he was, let alone whether or not he could carry a film. They still don't know about the latter if Ratner and Chan aren't involved.
Blunt you got that one twisted.
Chris Tucker is the one that got Brett Ratner "Put on" with directing movies. When the original director left the movie MONEY TALKS. Chris called the studio and told them he knew a cool white boy that should direct the movie.
Brett had worked with Chris on the Heavy D, video and the two got along well.
So I think Brett just continues to work with a guy that GOT HIM PUT ON.... and works well with.
ALL BIG TIME HOLLYWOOD directors have their "favorite" actors that they work with often.
Not true. I worked on Money Talks and Brett replaced the first director who was fired. Chris had already been cast. Although he like many black comics, knew Brett from his work with urban music videos.
Because he became a one-note player. If he had continued to develop his acting skills (he does have some, as evidenced in "Dead Presidents"), he would still be working.
Naw..she is a troll that says shit against the grain just to get a rise out of yall. It's a complete IDIOT. whatever it is.

Damn. Just like that ANOTHER Blunt ownage
I heard Chris Tucker got himself BLACKBALLED from the industry because of his ego and outsized salary demands after Rush Hour 2.
They felt he got too big for his britches, so the industry at large ICED his ass. No roles, no scripts, no reads, no look sees. Nothing.
Just like Wesley Snipes before him, he's been benched.
And ran her the fuck out of the thread.
