This is a chance for boxing to win some of it's fans bacc. The last boxing match I watched was Mayweather and Oscar. That shit made me give up on boxin and switch over to MMA permanently. Roy Jones and Tarver made me jump ship the first time.

No disrespect but you were probably never a real boxing fan to begin with if those fights made you stop watching.

There are great fights on all the time ,sometimes every weekend. These last few weeks alone have had some damn good boxing matches.

Based on your statement you seem to be a novice boxing fan who only watches the huge, money drawing fights (like this one) and expect only one style of fighting.

The DLH-Mayweather fight was an entertaining fight IMO, it just wasn't action packed. It was more strategic and calculating because thats the type of fighter Floyd is.

Also, when you say you switched to MMA (as a better alternative to boxing), I've never understood when people say that because how is two guys wrestling on the floor for 5 minute rounds, throwing sloppy punches, or stalling while trying to figure each other out any better than the types of boxing matches you claim to not like?

I've seen some entertaining MMA matches, but I've also seen some shitty ones, as I'm sure you have. If you didn't hold the Silva debacle, and other matches like it or worst, against MMA as a whole why abandon boxing because of a few bad matches?

You've missed some great fights.

Naw, I actually used to be a fan. I wasn't over zealous or nothing but I watched Friday night fights, boxing after dark all of that shit. But it just got boring to me. i eventually wanted to follow a big name fighter but since Tyson I feel like it's been one let down after another. Pavlik and Jermaine Taylor was probably the last exciting fight that I saw. I enjoyed Lennox's fights for a second and even followed Floyd but I'm just not interested anymore.

Just read your MMA comments...i'm not gonna make this a MMA vs Boxing thread but I just think MMA is more exciting. There are so many different angles and crafts in MMA. I think MMA now is how boxing was in the late 80's early 90's. The shit is entertaining.

Nah cuz MMA still isn't mainstream like that (and will never be). Most adults don't fuck with it.

You are ready to lose, cuz mosley can't fuck with a pure boxer/martial artist like floyd. Mosley is a brawler. A good real boxer will beat a brawler most of the time. I believe in the martial art of boxing.

If you call having a mean punch a brawler than I guess he is....

Wish I was in Vegas , this it the type of fight that Boxing Fans live for - hope it lives up to the hype ( sometimes they do ,sometimes they dont )

Gotta pick Mayweather just because he is younger - even though I hope Shane knocks some of the arrogance off Floyd ( not hating )

Mayweather by Decision in a Great fight

Pacman will be next

I think Naazim Richardson is from Philly. He trained B-Hop his whole career until he'd health problems.

Yeah he's from Philly but he wasn't his head trainer initially. Bouie Fisher was his trainer until they had a falling out in I believe 2002. Naazim was under him and when he fell out with Bouie then Naazim took over. The only fight he didn't train Hopkins for since taking over was Calzaghe I believe.

Can't wait...ordering it tomorrow...envy that you in Vegas for that shit... :(

Floyd by split, but cats are making too much of Shane's layoff. He's 38 and has fought once in 16 months. Floyd is 33 but he's fought once in over 2 years. It's a pretty even fight, Mosley is just as quick on offense as Floyd is with his defense. Mayweather doesn't have the power to hurt Mosley but he's a much better defensive boxer. Mosley is an excellent boxer puncher(not brawler) who can hurt Floyd. If anyone can punch through Floyd's guard, it'll be Mosley, not Manny. Anyway my gut says Floyd by close split decision. Shane is just too old.

this fight should be a classic
Mosley got knockout power and carries it late
PBF elite boxing skills and defense
I think PBF by decision but we've been shocked in boxing before

:confused:His last few fights have been at welter, he doesn't have to starch himself to make weight, he'll rehydrate to around 160 and Floyd'll be a couple pounds lighter.

lol nigga he's not gonna be no damn 160 at the fight

floyd is going to win overall
floyd is going to win by unanimous decision
this fight will go over 11.5 rounds

those are my official bets

safety net bet as it has higher odds - mosley winning by ko, tko, dq because mosley will not win a decision over floyd in vegas
