Amzer has Nexus One custom docks on their site but I'm getting a case and I wasn't sure they'd fit. This car dock is actually pretty nice. I hadn't even wanted to mount it on the window but its just right. It lines up just right so I can charge it and listen to music via 3.5mm.
There is also a 13in model thats the same. $25 worth it until that super OG nexus car dock comes out if it ever does

Gotta be your ringtones cuz mine are loud as hell. Use Adobe Audition to increase da levels on any custom made ringtones. I also use the "Pixie Dust" notification for when I get texts cuz it's loud as fuck.
I have custom ringtones. It may be the ringtones. I'll give that audition a try.

When using Audition, you can increase the volume by going to Effects ->Amplitude & Compression -> Amplify. There you can tweak the levels for bass, treble & balance.

Don't get me wrong Verizon is the better may be the best cell phone carrier period, if the extra money is there I say go Verizon! Comparing tmo's unlimited plan to Verizon's the average tmo customer saves $60 a month! This chart has tmo users saving $50 a month for unlimited because it's under that Nexus unlimited plan. But, I'm still on the same unlimited everything plan I was on with the G1, so my bill comes under $90 every month!

Great read player, I read it all, It was pretty entertaining! Ya Mr. Morpheous is the man!Ok a few tips for u to avoid bs in the feature. Number 1 your G1 is under factory warranty for a year. I never saw the purpose of insurance with it. I dropped 1 of mine on the concrete, it cracked my screen, called tmo told them my phone kept turning off by itself. We went through troubleshooting, they shipped me a refurbed G1 out! They give u a disclaimer that if your G1 has bad physical damages u have to pay $100. That's what I did, paid $100. I've heard too many frustrating stories about insurance on many of these phones.
U also said when u got your phone back u lost all data... Mybackuppro could have prevented that. It backs all contacts, sms, mms, pics, apps, call log, etc............U need that especially if u flash different roms a lot.
you also state u lost your phone, there are a ton of apps that could've located your phone, there are a ton of apps that enable u to send your phone a text message and it can disable the phone, disable the person from viewing personal info, etc...
I love SimChecker Pro, shyt anytime I would reboot my G1 it would send me an email stating the exact address i'm at when the phone is rebooted. SMS Commander is good, there are tons of security apps for Android phones! Please take the time to install a few, for next time, somebody swipes yor phone, u wont have to be suspicious about everybody.
Happy your enjoying your G1 rooted, be sure to put some nice widgets on there if u haven't already. 5 Home screens is the bomb!

I wont be trying that shyt, but it's good to know the phone is strong! I don't want to find out, but since the screen is suppose to be scratch proof, I wonder if it holds up pretty good on falls on hard surface. I broke 1 of my g1 screens by dropping it on concrete....I felt like Big Gipp on Goodie Mobb's "I didn't ask to come" when he says "cussn out the atmosphere with nobody close enough to hear" Far as the entire Nexus being scratch proof, don't believe that shyt. I dropped my shyt going downstairs at my homegirls loft. Thank God the phone fell on its back, there is a very very small cut near the power button. It's so small you have to hold the phone still to your eye. I have dropped my Nexus 2 times, once on floor, once on concrete, So it's definitely well crafted and strong, but it may have been a little irresponsible for this dude to say u don't need a case. Since the 2 drops i've been very protective with the N1, mostly keeping it safe around liquids and putting it in its little pouch when i'm walking and not using it. Dude its your ringtones as mentioned. When i got the N1 I did mybackup so i'd have all my data. In that process or maybe the version of rings extended was buggy with the N1 but once I switched up ringtones it fixed the problem.

Android 1.6+ Google Maps went and updated itself to Version 4.1 tonight, bringing with it an updated search page, support for multiple accounts, a Latitude widget and -- this is very cool -- the ability to make Google Maps your live wallpaper. Let's break it down, erm, after the break.
Search results
Search results have been "reimagined." They've got a new look and feel. instead of drilling down through a list, you're greeted with the top result and then can swipe left and right through other results. It's a nice change and is quite fluid.
Says Google:
"You can select any section to see more reviews, buzz, etc. If you want to get to more search results without going back to the list, simply grab the page with your finger and swipe it away to the left or right to see the next or last result."
It really is a long-overdue refresh for the search options of Google Maps. And search, after all, is what Google does best.
Latitude widget
Just as it sounds. There's now a widget for Google Latitude. That's the kind of social-networking aspect that lets your friends see exactly where you are, if you so choose.
If you're new to Latitude, it's a bit more privacy friendly than Google Buzz was, at least at its outset. It won't broadcast your location unless you specifically tell it to.
(That said, does anybody actually use Latitude?)
Multiple accounts
Google's finally starting to realize that many of us have to manage more than one Google account, and Google Maps now handles multiple identities. Go to Menu>More>Switch account to sign out of your current account and into a new one. Nice touch.
Live wallpaper
Saved the best for last. As you can see from the picture at the top, you can now set Google Maps as a live wallpaper, which can be darn handy if you need quick access to traffic information. The rest of the time? Eh, who cares how useful it is -- it's pretty damn cool.

man check this out - for N1 users with Tmo - In my immediate area which has good Tmo coverage I can't roam on ATT due to their contract in this specific area. But it would only be 2g anyway and I get that at least 99% of the time.

I aint putting my Google credentials out like dat...lol.Yea im developing on the G1 now...metamorph themes, a few launcher updates, gonna start a rom pretty soon if I can work out the kinks of what I wanna do.
Real talk...since the specs for the Evo are just the same[if not better] than to Motoroi then id just switch over. The Motoroi has NO plans on coming over to the states anytime soon. Tmo just unleashed the Touch Pro 2 HD so they gonna ride that shit out for a good minute.
The app is free for 15 days. It won't matter if you have the app because after the 15 day trial unless you have a pro account you will not get it to sync. You can use the iPhone web page but i think that is on the trial/pro access too but you could always use the regular website. Its worth the money. The pro account is $25 a yr. Its worth it to me.
I agree it should be free but it does everything else including google calendar sync for free so they have to get their money somewhere. I prolly never would have gotten a pro account if they charged in general to use it.
