then the story neil tried to put out questioning d's sanitythat's hard man - ultimate betrayal
i wouldnt even want my boy to go through that kind of stress let alone keepin him fucked up to try to make more money
neil is the typical JEW - thats how they are born- i bet he's workin as a producer or exec somewhere

Nah, he's not Jewish (I don't think).
The funny thing is, Neil was trying to get in the business and was working at a comedy club (which is what a lot of not really funny comedians do when they try to get into the biz) and met Dave. They do Half-Baked, it doesn't do well at the theater then they stop speaking. Half Baked gets a big following outside of theaters and Dave gets the show on Comedy Central and he calls up Neil. Dave had already written a lot of the material before getting the show (if you listen to the DVD commetary you'll hear it).
I mean the nigga had NO work in Hollywood before Dave. I mean some small shit but nothing really. Dave blows up and (to his fault) gives Neil a lot of credit for the success. So now Neil's profile blows up and he's thought of as a funny guy (which he really isn't and that's why he doesn't write anymore).
Don't forget Gomi/Florian tomorrow.
I never thought so and I always defended his show against folks questioning the appropriateness of his race stuff on such a mainstream venue. Then I was just watching the 1st season DVDs for the first time in a while last week and it just didn't hit me the same. That reparations sketch seemed borderline than a muhfucka. I used to love that shit.
i still might go see that - it aint sold out and the card is decent
not sure if i feel like payin $150-$250 for a good seat though

Bamboozled is one of my top favs. I remember going to see it opening day and of course the theater was pretty much empty (I was living in Hawaii at the time so that prob had a lot to do with it). At the end of the movie there were two white women who got up pissed as shit saying "Why doesn't he just come out and say it, all white people are devils" 
The bitch totally missed the point of the movie and didn't even realize it had nothing to do with her.
On another note, a couple of months ago I was in my acting class and the teacher (White of course and well respected in the industry) gave me a scene to do from the Steve Harvey show. I chose to do it my way and got some pretty good laughs from my classmates. The teacher wasn't satisfied. I knew what she wanted, but I wasn't going to give her that satisfaction. In a nutshell, she wanted me to coon the scene up
I just kept doing it different ways without giving her the satisfaction.

Just got through watching Bamboozled,I feel like beating the shit out of a white person .....
The movie is really really really good and every single thing in the movie is on point.....

The thing is w Chappelle, is that as a comic he makes jokes and its for ppl who get the joke. But when random ppl who dont get the irony or are laughing at him and calling him a ****** at his shows, then the premise is lost. THAT woke him up and he saw that comedy Central wouldnt give him creative control he bounced. Its like if you were making fun of cooning w your blk friends but someone white came up and started laughing. You wouldnt know if they are laughing w you or at you.

Funny thing is the Boondocks comic strip/books, is totally different from the TV show.
It might be all fun and games making jokes about racist topics, but in the end we make ourselves look bad.

I'm not saying Dave and I had a personal convo or some shit.
It's basically what you would think it was. Neal, seemingly, was working as an agent for the network basically trying to encourage Dave to keep going and do more and more stuff that was outright buffoonish. Pressuring him hard to keep doing the show when he knew Dave wasn't feeling it. Dave almost walked out during season 2 but Neil calmed him down. Word is that Dave always had doubts about the authenticity of their relationship and that Neil was using him as a vehicle to make money. And that Season 3 fiasco pretty much solidified it in his eyes. 2nd (maybe) hand information, nonetheless it makes perfect sense.
