Open Letter to Conservatives

Jibberish. Pure, untainted jibberish. But it's a popular thought among enough Americans that the robber barons who were brought to heel 70 years ago are back in charge and the few protections for the masses are compromised and/or teetering on collapse.

It's easy to call something a name, that is the MO of liberals who cannot debate an issue. Like the homosexuals when they cannot defend their lifestyle they call people homophobic. What specifically is Gibberish? BTW, it's Gibberish with a G. It sounds like this is a debate of those who have worked for it and those who expect handouts at taxpayer's expense.

Hmmmm how about NOT needing a fucking health care bill? I wonder how many jobs its going to make? OH yea, I hear the pseudo-SS IRS is hiring 16,000 more agents to "enforce" health care reform.

<font size="3"><center>Q:Will the IRS hire 16,500 new agents to enforce the health care law?

A: No. The law requires the IRS mostly to hand out tax credits, not
collect penalties. The claim of 16,500 new agents stems from a partisan
analysis based on guesswork and false assumptions, and compounded by
outright misrepresentation.

You don't just hire that many IRS agents to pass out checks. Hell, mostly everyone have direct deposit these days anyway. I'm not buying that reasoning one bit. I hope you're not falling for it Que.

Everyone seems anti conservative until they start making more money. Only a fool willingly gives away his/her hard earned money. I suspect those who are promoting the hatred of conservatives are either earning too little or have enough stored away so they are not adversely affected by those policies they wish to enforce on all.

When people stop working at McDonalds and start earning $80K or more they will begin seeing how much of their paycheck goes to the government, then their tune will change.

It's not a blackie hate whitie issue, it is about theft. Taxing people is a form of theft. Welfare and universal health care is a form of theft. No one is guaranteed food or health care. You are guaranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But as far as earning money and being healthy, that is the person's responsibility. If you want health care then obtain the skills and education necessary to obtain employment that offers health care or negotiate that with your employer when you are hired.

If your trying to raise a family on an entry level position, like McDonalds or some union position, well than that is your fault not the employers or the U.S. taxpayers. Unions themselves are nothing more than a socialist organization that collects part of your paycheck to fatten their wallets. People are smart enough to get jobs that don't require others, unions, to think for them. If not, well then they really don't deserve the job.

Stop bashing those you disagree with. Ten years from now when your earning more money...your opinion will verily change.

The start point of "taxes are a form of theft" gives you a false premise to build on. Without taxes, how would we build and maintain roads? The military? The police? Sewage and water treatment? Garbage disposal? Fund free basic education?
Conservatives love the government, when they're running it and hate it when they're not. People do become more conservative as they age but not because it's a better idea but because they become more greedy, more jaded, more selfish, and more suspicious about a world that's passing them by.
Any progress made by working class people in this country is due to unions. Even work places that aren't unionized benefit because they have to keep up, benefits wise, to maintain good employees. Big Business didn't just decide benevolently to give workers paid vacation, 40 hour work weeks, and a minimum wage. These were things fought for by unions and union-friendly government officials. It is easy to point out corruption that taken place in unions as with any other large organization but the accomplishments stand.
Just as health care isn't a guarantee, neither is "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". The fact that you think they are exposes your twisted, Tea Party-like, historically ignorant thinking. That line is from the Declaration of Independence, who's sole purpose was a formal separation from England. This is the last fully developed country in the Western Hemisphere to not have universal health care and not one other country wants the system we have and not one other country sees their health care as "theft".

I only call something a name if it fits. To even suggest that I can't debate an issue means you're new here.
I like jibberish better with a "j". It's not a really a word so I'm not putting any energy into it.

That's exactly the way the Right tries to frame it to Kool Aid drinkers: trying to take from those that work and give it to someone who doesn't and that's not even close to the truth.

You completely missed the point, trying to hold on to your wrong assumption. The only people saying the IRS is hiring 16k new employees are Republicans, with no basis is reality. Apparently the number is closer to 5k and most of them wouldn't be agents.

Why does this not surprise me!

Taxes are a form of theft. The federal government has one responsibility and that is protection of the citizens, via the military. That is it. There is no provision for health care, education. When this country was first founded, most everyone was homeschooled. Leave the disparaging comments behind us for now on, the founding fathers of this country were all homeschooled. In your perfect country, where does health care end? If your have an open ended health care system, like Sweden or other European countries where do you draw the line on who gets what care, citizen or non citizens. If your child has a fever of 103f and illegal aliens are filling up the ER, would you let your child die to provide health care to those who have not earned it?

What progress has been made by working class? If a person works, then he/she is part of the working class regardless if he/she is a CEO or a ditch digger. Anyone who works is part of the working class. The unions did one thing only, ensure safety was implemented during the industrial revolution. Other than that, what have unions done for anyone? Have they paid the mortgage on your home or filled your refrigerator with food or paid your taxes?

Your job or lot in life is what you make it. Unions do one thing and that is keep it's paycheck makers dependent on them for jobs. The unions instill a sense of dependency that the employee must be involved in their function or they cannot hold down a job. This is conditioning. It is everyones responsibility, especially yours, to acquire the skills and education to obtain a better paying job with more benefits. If a person wants to earn more money or have more benefits than that person should find a job and negotiate for benefits. An owner of a company has one purpose, that is to make as much money a possible. He/She does not invest their own capital to provide jobs to people, they invest their money to make more money. Our responsibility is to ensure we are taking advantage of our skills and education so we can obtain that which we desire.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence, your denial of the truth does not change the truth. The Declaration of Independence has not changed. Neither has the Bible, the 10 commandments are still the 10 commandments, regardless how old the Bible is. The same goes for the Declaration of Independence, regardless how old it is, it reigns.

But most importantly Dave, you need to learn to disagree without name calling. Debate the issue only, do not project or disparage the person with whom you disagree.

Another right winger that hasn't read the constitution.

I could tell you didn't read the letter by your first sentence.

I read the article in full now and it still doesn't change anything I said. I might also add that I think it is stupid. "You can't do this ..." and you can't do that ... Stupid! But they are doing it and they have good reasons. The points that she highlighted are the very ones I think are most stupid.

I still stand by the points I have made. You haven't showed me where any of what I said about the article was incorrect.

You and I will disagree on just about everything. My thinking is more objective than yours with a slight bias to the capitalist conservative side. Mine is somewhat slanted to the perspective of an investor and aspiring Wealthy class. Most of my arguments will come from one of wealth accumilation and protection.

My goal thoughout this lifetime is to figure out how I can benefit from the spinning of what's real and unreal by the government and society and it's effects, intended effects on the movement of money short term and long term. The last 3 years have been a real re-education with reality and perception for me. I have been re-educated in being right and the cost of proving that you are right.
